Mardi Gras was a major holiday in Deadland, and for several years in the late 80s and early '90s the staff of Bill Graham Presents collaborated with the Deadheads to create a parade to celebrate the occasion in psychedelic style. In February 1990, I brought my recording rig and walked around among the various parade crews as they prepared for the big night.

Hay now,

Let the good times roll!!!!!

I only went to one of those Mardi Gras shows at the Oakland Coliseum and
they were sooo fun... The Parade was such a great add to the already
magical carnival that accompanied all shows...

Cheers and thanks for posting the Grateful Dead hour shows....
