The joys of High Sierra

High Sierra Music Festival is an excellent 4 day festival just east of Chico, California in Quincy. I'll be going this year, it starts on July 5th. I think there is over 80 bands with late night shows, music all day, parades, activities, workshops, camping, and more! This festival is so comfortable with high sense of community throughout. Check it out

ThaMuseMeant (alt/folk americana- Nathan Moore is one of the best songwriters around)
the Slip (jazz/jam/rock/experimental)
and the best of all: Suprise Me Mr. Davis (the Slip with Nathan Moore- oh yeah!)

also looking forward to Xavier Rudd (haven't seen him before)

Granted I went once back in 96 when it was still in Bear Valley.... I saw MMW and SCI for the first time. Saw a local midwest fav - Acoustik Hookah (spell?) dug them on the small stage. Lets see saw - Hypnotic Clambake,Leftover Salmon...gosh so many cool bands! Many excellent vendors and met so many new friends...
