I caught a Jerry Band show later in the year, but this was my final Dead show. The second set was easily the hottest of the three-show run, but that wasn't saying much. Jerry looked horrible and the volume of the show was very low. I think some Jerry Band shows were canceled not long before these shows, so we went to the shows cautious. Very happy to see them and that these shows were not canceled, too, but in retrospect ...
Not a great way to go out for me. Hearing Don't Ease twice in three nights kinda summed it up. I don't think they were clicking on all cylinders.

Glad my last song was a Brokedown Palace, though. Fare you well, indeed.
