One of the best "Space"
One of the best "Space" orchestrations I ever saw.
Can't remember well.
This show is alot fuzzier that the first nite. I don't remember if I dosed or not...the first nite is clear in my head but this one I've lost to time. Looking at the set, It must have been the superior show, but who am I to say...
His job is to shed light, not to master.
the better night
Funny jkstraw can't remember this night and I couldn't remember the first night. Oh well. He's right this is the stronger show of the opening tour run in Hampton. Second set was very well played start to finish. Might need to dig out some tapes of this night!
reverb, echoplex??????
e-mail friskotatt2@yahoo.comhttp//myspace.com/mobb_ shop listening to this show on g.d. radio. is my radio fucked up or did they actually use the reverb echoplex that i am hearing during hell in a bucket. and now jerry in my head saying sship ship ship of of fools fools fools.cant imagin being dosed at this one. double dose 4 real. i like . living in hawaii at this time so i missed the show
My first show. I mostly
My first show. I mostly remember how uncrowded it was and walking around the floor before the music began. Played some hacky sack and ended up pretty near the front by Jerry. Then when they launched into Stranger, how that place just came alive. Two kids were sitting with their feet hanging over the aisle, smoking a bowl and grinning. Hampton was total GA and really not very full back then so you could go just about anywhere.
then during Cold, Rain it hit me. Outside it was a chilly, drizzly early spring night and I felt like if you weren't in that arena, figuratively or literally, you were out in the cold, rain and snow.
after that my third hit kicked in and I ran into a friend with powder and the rest is a bit fuzzy, especially since I didn't know all the songs at that time. I just remember being really sad when it was over. it was like, "Don't stop! Don't ever stop! Just keep playing and I'll stay here! I don't need food or sleep! Just keep playing!"
Whaaaaa
Still dosing from last night. I cant find the bus from last night. but I got to see the whole show this time. And we just scored tickets for a show in nassau. roadtrip LOL.. Im already tripping i hope it doesnt end. Well maybe it should, at this point I remember being a little burnt out. Looking foward to the next show.
Smoking Scarlet
Probably my favorite scarlet Begonias, smoking leads. Also, the oddity of going into "Hell in a Bucket" make it truely interesting.
First Show!!!
15 years old...dropped at lunch at Laughallotandgethighschool...kids wearing tie dyes and tour shirts at school set the stage that day. Oma drove me and Katrina there. Cold Rain for sure...the bus came by and I got on! Wish I had gone the night before too....I didn't know allot of the songs, but they were great! Still have the t-shirt, but it don't fit so well!!
