Electricity in the air!

A 70-degree Saturday night and very cool scene.

The first set was great, one of the strongest I ever saw. The crowd went insane for "Broken Arrow" and when we thought the energy level couldn't go higher, "Casey Jones" put people over the edge.

This show smoked

always loved the knickerbocker. I was lucky enough to catch 7 shows there starting w/ the first. the dead always seemed to play well there & this night was no exception. of course it would be hard to list any other song as the absolute highlight over casey jones, but what a set list. I have to admit that I was never a fan of broken arrow. Loose lucy was hot. by what I've heard from other heads a lot of people will disagree w/ me, but I always loved I Fought The Law. it goes back to the days when my mother used to play the original. When the Dead started playing it I was pumped. As always a great cover done VERY well inc. the drums for the six gun part. cracked up the first time I heard that. Albany seemed to love the Dead because I remember that the streets around the arena were closed to traffic & the heads were everywhere. not much of a police presence to speak of. I actually found them quite helpful after the first show (3-24-90) while trying to figure out how to get back to my hotel which was on the other side of Albany.

Sweetness

First set's energy was over the top- Loose Lucy might have stolen the show had it not been for Casey Jones.

Second Set was golden...eyes - estimated and a melting Comes A Time had me in tears. ripping wheel and watchtower and the best version of IFTL that they did.

one of my favourite shows.
