Lake Acid
Two of my budies were selling purple tie dyed work gloves before the show. They Ran into Phil and Billy in the hotel bar and gave the boys some gloves since it was pretty cold. Bill could be seen wearing them during the show. Pretty cool. As was nice real long Sugeree to open the show where they were selling beer down on the floor. it wasn't sold out being way the fuck up in Lake Placid so plenty of dancing space. Same room as the "Do you believe in miracles? olympic hockey game. Nice!
Cops on the exit
NY State Troopers had a damn bus waiting at the exit off the thruway...plenty of bros and sisters never made it...As I recall the Hilton downtown Placid is where the dancing bears got there start,,,,they were on the napkins in the lobby bar after the show we all went there to relax and meet some of the band...but I was way to dosed to have a conversation...true...there were kegs in the back of the arena...you walk in..buy a beer...show your ticket to an usher who points up front and away you go...it was standing room up front...lounging in the chairs in back when you needed a rest..then the long drive to Maine with awsome foliage...what a long strange trip it was...
