    Settle down easy

Didn't take me too long to Ramble on to this show.
What shall we say on this 23rd Day?
Do yourself a favor, and listen to this entire show.
Looking forward to David letting it flow these next 7 Days.

    2nd set Earthquake

Another era that I absolutely love. With the outstanding 2nd set rumbles, makes me wonder what the sky looked like? Did it open up? Was that thunder? Not sure but that 2nd set was lightning. Take a listen!

Narrowed it down from a short list of 20+ reasonably quickly. Now listening to the full concert.

A lot better today than my hopeless efforts to solve yesterday's. Congratulations to all those who got the China>Rider right. I was out by a year; convionced myself it was 1972.

I am always finding other gems of songs during the 30 Days of Dead Daze than the ones I am supposed to be searching out.
Today is no exception! I been jamming Dave's #39 & #52 pretty heavy these past few weeks so the song Let it Grow is on the mind, from both spring and autumn tours.
Anyways,.... There is a really killer Let it Grow from 9/18 1983 in Grass Valley, CA.
NO, NOT THE ONE WE'RE LOOKING FOR! Though one of the best Brent versions I have ever heard!

Saying that a specific show is not today's answer still counts. It's best to avoid mentioning venues and dates at all until the next day.

Started my search by looking at DeadLists, thinking there wouldn't be too many. Shoulda listened first.
Edit: Third try. Don't let Bobby fool y'all.

Not enough time for me to find. I think I hsve correct decade/ year but didn't have time to find exact show. My best year yet with 8 correct, and a ton of shows to relisten too. Thanks Dave and goodluck all

Please give NO dates, number of occurrences, band members, venues, cities, eras, or any other specific clue as to the answer for a particular day. Already someone has given a slightly misleading hint as to today’s answer. Keep it fun for all. There are those days when a clue might help, but if one day you actually don’t get the answer- well, perfection isn’t what this exercise is all about. That being said, I did appreciate the Beatles hint yesterday (and hit up SETLIST FM after to check) but too much will just give it away.

The little Jerry riff during the outro of RIDER was the giveaway yesterday. Find one thing to go on. Of course flubs or lyric mistakes make it easy as pumpkin pie, but for me, it’s always easy to rely on the first few or last few notes, or transitions/segues if they exist.

Yesterdays Beatles (hint) to me was not even a hint as smallz said 30K kids at the venue which I dismissed immediately for the time period (only Billy drumming Feb 71 Oct 74 ) was not drawing 30k. Later in the day firstshow mentioned that copper dome bodhi was a hint about the venue which to me again was not a hint as I had never been there and did know what the venue looks like, but they did mention Keith on Keys which I though was TMI.
Which is why I cant agree more mentioning names, dates, venues and other specific details ( like never miss a Sunday show is TMI in my book) and is a huge bummer to us that know a little and like to research and learn.
I do like reading the comments as cool stories and thoughts are part of the fun but it seems for me the comment section comes after I have submitted my answer for the day.
We are self modding this lil chat section so when we see something we need to speak up, it might be gray area as the line can get blurry when dropping a sneaky hint can be TMI for one person and not even be considered a hint to others, but let try and be mindful what we are saying.

I could not agree more. In my 12 years of playing this is the absolute worst I have ever seen. Someone posts the obvious answer, through the obvious clue, gets reminded not to post obvious clues, then someone else does the same thing 45 minutes later.

Like I said: I could not agree more.

It was that echo on one instrument right at the beginning. Thinking it had to be from 1 or 2 certain years based on how they had a relaxed way of starting one of these songs. Nice guitar tones on this 2 fer

This was my second show. It was what I often think and speak of as a truly religious experience. Being a Wall of Sound show, the sound was awesome and made a pretty crappy venue sound great. I was so happy to see that this Day of the Dead pick was from this show. The recording is fantastic. I only have an audience file of the show, so I was amazed by the sound quality. Bobby's guitar playing on China was as good as it gets. I wish I could get more of this show from this source...I am gonna play the hell out of this file!!!

You guys are right. I said Keith without thinking. For me Keith is a no brainer. If you can't tell Keith from the other keyboardists you aren't a deadhead. That said sometimes I have trouble telling Brent from Vince right away if I don't hear them singing. At first I thought you were complaining about me reminding of the Beatles hint which I thought ridiculous as that search would have been much harder than the Dead search. Did you look at that list? Holy crap, retracing all the Beatles venues against Dead setlists would have been a monumental task. I looked after I guessed and Indy fit his cross country description and his "30K crazy kids" was verbatim from the Beatles at Indy google. So I will be more careful. But the crew is right, it's just a game and from what I've read you might not get that calendar even if it said you won, lol. They are merry pranksters after all.
Cheers

Was not trying to be a D about it. You are right generally knowing who's playing keys is a given and that will narrow any bigger searches. Its kinda like getting salty saying "Donna added a nice touch" haha: pretty clear if you hear her it's her. Yesterday to me was pretty ez as it was the solo Billy era so I did not look at anything outside Feb 71 Oct 74. I certainly need to lighten up here, it is all good fun. Peas'

God I just loved this venue and how close we all were. This was one of my gotta be there venues. With that said I started this search several years off but zeroed in on it after bit.

Yesterday, I headed right for 73-74 because, for me, that period of China Cat transitioning into Rider is just out of this world!

Thank you Dave & Co.!

Love this tune, you can count on Jerr going full shred mode. Way more powerful coming out of the whole suite.

Yesterday…nailed it knew it was 73 but went into 72 first, got lost on so many sweet jams while I searched!

Anyone catch the count in?, snuck in the last seconds of the track? Knew it was going into Me & My Uncle

BUNDUBUSH that transition is the best, I recall it has a name but can’t remember…ahhhh

while checking out other Let It Grows in my 30 DoD file, I came upon 10-2-76 and it occurred to me that this next Dave's Picks release has several tracks on it from past 30 DoD years: the exquisite Let It Grow>Might As Well from the end of set 1, The Music Never Stopped set 2 opener, and the late 2nd set jam sequence of The Other One>Stella Blue>The Other One>Sugar Mags.

So remember, Lemieux just might release one of these 30 DoD shows if we are lucky enough. Today's show would definitely get my vote!

Hey saintfilberto, after looking at all the posts to find FRANCIS, I realized that you were quoting from film STRIPES… very funny! But never forget that the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog…
