30 Days of Dead
It's a Dead Head's most wonderful time of the year! Welcome to another 30 days of unreleased Grateful Dead tracks from the vault, one for every day of the month, selected by archivist and producer David Lemieux. The tracks are yours, 100% free gua-ran-teed, but the real fun is taking part in the challenge for the chance to win some sweet swag from the Dead.
Those of you who know what to do, feel free to skip right on ahead. For those of you who need a refresher, here's the drill:
You know your Ables from your Bakers from your C's, but can your finely tuned ears differentiate the cosmic "comeback" tour from a spacey 70s show? Each day we'll post a song from one of the Dead's coveted shows. Will it be from that magical night at Madison Square Garden in '93 or from way back when they were just starting to warm it up at Winterland? Is that Pigpen's harmonica we hear? Brent on keys? If you think you know, lob your answer in and you just might find yourself taking home our daily prize of a 2025 Grateful Dead wall calendar or the grand prize – a copy of limited, numbered, FRIEND OF THE DEVILS: APRIL '78 boxed set!
Dear Mary, or anyone behind the scenes — fyi, my download file is 64kb and others have mentioned low bit files. It'd be great to see the usual 320kb on the rest if possible, and hopefully re-post this one at 320kb. NOT complaining—I'm very grateful!! Just letting you know.
What a nice surprise in my inbox this morning reminding me that 30 Days of Dead has begun again! I thought about it a couple weeks ago but promptly forgot.
Not too many options today so a nice start.
So happy that both setlist.com and archive.org are back up just in time too!
Good luck and enjoy everyone!
Where is this form, i can’t find any link anywhere to it!
Click on the we amp player button (that looks like the old winamp mp3 player of past decades). The default browser player doesn't work now, but this one does.
or at least a symptom of a confusing user interface.
Maybe it would help to have a clickable button to go to submission page.
Similar to the download MP3 button, and preferably placed next to it.
Especially considering that once you are already in the comments the submission form that is usually at the bottom of the main page goes away.
I had to go back to the home page and start over to submit mine this morning.
