I never want to sound jaded about the old days. God bless all who make that journey to Chicago in July. Could be the party of the year. Now in my 60s I need to be ready for the future and take care of business at home. In the early 70s I was the child of innocence amazed at the wonder of this cutting edge band. So elder dead-heads help those who may be young, innocent and searching for the meaning of life, perhaps in the form of this timeless music. Protect them and set the positive example of kindness and refuge from a real mean world. "If there's a poor boy on the street, let him have my seat". "That path is for.. your steps alone". ""Ooo baby baby it's a wild world and it's hard to get by with just a smile girl". I have deep memories of the last lyric while on my way to Table Mountain on the night of July 3, 1972 Colorado. All those who wander are not lost.

Many of us and our friends will not be able to attend the shows due to a variety of reasons. (likely not for lack of trying) My friends and I had never made it to a New Years show but enjoyed the pay per view show together before You Tube existed. I would like to think they will live web stream the shows(professionally) for us that don't make it. I suspect many of us really need to be a part of these shows to help complete our lives. I left that Sunday night 20 years ago and never thought it would be my/the last show. Until this was announced I did not realize how important it was to me to get together with my friends and to say goodbye. If it helps any the figure of 61,500 seats is for football seating and does not include the field. I am guessing there is another 6000+ seats on the field. I think EVERYONE should have a chance to be a part of these shows and to say Fare Thee Well.

We did the mailorder again but only for the 4th & 5th with the hopes of getting a nosebleed cheap seat for the 3rd to save some cash, at least I won't have to use a personal day, NSA abduction, or "burning kitten orphanage rescue" story to be part of a presale now
