His recordings are only recently being circulated. Here, presented in SHN/FLAC format, on a single DVD, are 5 of his recordings: Styx 11/4/77, Heart 1/27/79, Bruce Springsteen 7/20/75, Yes 8/15/77 and Yes 12/11/74. The Styx and '74 Yes shows (both A AUDs) are especially enjoyable. I grade the sound quality of the Bruce show as A- and the others as B+. Styx are one of those bands that doesn't get as much respect as they deserve. Young people don't know them aside from Mr. Roboto and older people, especially those who loved them at one time, felt betrayed because of Mr. Roboto. But in 1977, this band was at a peak. I love the show. For more info on Dan, Google his name and you can read a cool story about him and why his recordings are coming out. If there is interest, I will seed a Part 2. Let me see if I can grab another show or two over the weekend and make this a 2 DVD vine. I already have 3 more shows:Rush 1/11/79, AUD A, Awesome! Yes 7/23/75, AUD A, hot show and a little cheese, Bad Company, 4/13/76, AUD A, fun show I can't get the Queen show I really want, and have had problems with the Lou Reed show. Hmmm, he recorded Pink Floyd in 1975, as well as Black Sabbath....

If you can get some Sabbath from '75 (or any year for that matter) I think I would probably faint from excitement. "Here's my half a dollar if you dare .. double twist when you hit the air. Look at Julie down below .. the levee doing the dopaso"

I could have sworn that this vine contained the Rush 1/11/79 Lampinski show?? Anyways, what an aweome show and recording! I am on my 3rd round of listening to it. My wife thanks you too dstache!! It's a great warm-up for the Rush show at red rocks Monday night!! "The dire wolf collects his due while the boys sing round the fire"

Rush was included. I made this a 2 DVD vine (see p1) after downloading some more shows. I've never seen Rush. And I probably should have. Rush is one of those bands that keep on going strong, without interruption. I don't know the personal stuff about them, but I have to think that they avoided all of those troubles that tend to plague rock and roll bands, and musicians in general.

Just listened to the Rush show last night (thanks again, Derek!!). One of my fav live concert moments in the early '80's was Xanadu, so I was inspired to go to youtube and check out some live clips. One was a mid-77 Xanadu that was pretty raw - incredible how mature and complex it became in such a short time. And to Derek's point, when you see clips on stage you see interplay between the 3 guys that suggests they really have gotten along over the years, at least relative to other mega-bands.

On the second one? Theoretically ;) "The dire wolf collects his due while the boys sing round the fire"

Theoretically, of course, a part 2 would be highlighted by a GREAT Who show (12/14/75) and also include Jethro Tull (3/8/75), Roxy Music (3/31/79, and a brand new Rush show (1/12/78) which I just found today, but I don't think has been available for very long. I also have a hot set from Lynryd Skynyrd (8/27/76) and a hot show from the Marshal Tucker Band (11/29/74), but the FLAC files were on my computer that died, and I'd have to re-download them, or just include the WAV files. All for naught though.

I believe Birdsong is still MIA and I'm pretty sure I sent this his way since I spent the past couple days looking for this vine with no luck. So start a list and next on pm me.
