Hal you need to take care of what matters most - you have been a solid member of our vining community for a long time and for those of us that have been along for the ride know that you would never intentionally hold up the vines. I sincerely hope that all is well with you and yours. The vines can wait. If we need to help on the vine side let us know. PM if needed. I know it is a pain that I have held up these vines and that for those of you that don't know me you may think I am not responsible, I am and I will not dissappear. They will get out. Please bear with me. Thanks JS and EDA for knowing that I am a long term player who has had major interuptions in life. Hearing that helps. I hope to post more here on the weekend and get things moving then again. If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. William Blake

Hal is a very good viner. We also always accomodate people when they are having health, computer, family or any other life issues. Those are the most important things to take care of. Right? Also we used to do a better job at ensuring a vine is actually dead and gone before doing a re-seed. It is not feasible to re-seed every vine that stalls for awhile especially when it is stalled due to the issues already described. I think there is enough music circulating around where we can be patient while others get their issues worked out to get stalled vines going again. I realize that some vines disappear for good but many others that are stalled can get going again if we take the time to figure out where it was last seen and getting a hold of that person. Just my 2 cents. "It's got no signs or dividing line and very few rules to guide"

I would be willing to help re-seed vines. If anyone can contact a person higher on the list (before the break) that may be willing to transfer the particular "stuck vine" files to a flash drive, I would be willing to send my 16GB flash drive to that person to facilitate the transfer. The transfer time should be quick and the return postage to me is about $2 USPS First Class. When I get the flash drive back I could burn the FLAC/SHN files to DVD-R or CD-R as needed and get them out to next person on the list. A quick re-start to the vine. My cost would be minimal (B&P) and I would get quite a few shows in the process. Since I am in the "in-between job" abyss, I could turn this around pretty quick. Let me know your thoughts here or via a PM. I would like to make a contribution to this system. Best Holiday Wishes-Jimmy

After being on the vines for over three years and keeping up with them I am really struggling to get at them now due to many health issues that have plagued direct family members for over the past year and which I must devote my energy to. Sorry, it is kind of hard to direct energy towards vines but will do so. It sucks for the vining community and it sucks for me to have to write a note like this. Please resend me your address and I will get off to you what you are next on the list for, thanks, peace Hal Since then have not heard a peep. Although it would be grate to see the vines move again, I hope all is well there. I find it hard to believe that he would intentionally kill these vines like some others (not to mention any names, but I'm sure we could all think of a boy).

Agreed JSFC, I am very excited too. I haven't listened to much Europe 72 in a while, and wasn't grading shows when I last listened to the run. I'm putting off doing that until I get the real deal in September!

I can re-seed all of them except the 10-30-09 show, I'm not sure what happened to that one. I have some good 2010 shows that will make up for it.

I'm just wondering if anybody out there can kindly reseed the 1971/06/21 Chateau D'Herouville-France Video Vine and the NRPS 5/15/70 Vine as well. There hasn't been any action on these for some time. Thanks in advance poncho

I had asked Decola about the 1971/06/21 Chateau D'Herouville-France Video Vine awhile back. I think he might have been the last active viner to get this one. He said he thought he had it and would pass it on. That was awhile ago though, but I could check again. I'd like both that one and the NRPS vine you mentioned...

I've been listening to Dick's Picks 27 alot lately. It'd be great to hear more great stuff from '92. Is there someone willing to re-seed this one out to me? Maybe we could get this one started, again...and maybe some additional '92 stuff in the not-too-distant future! Thanks!

Both the MSG '88 and December '88 vines have been stalled, it seems. I've tried contacting the last recipients of each of those vines several times with no reply. I'd really appreciate a re-seed of this one as I've managed to get most of the other '88 shows and would love to add some finishing touches to that year.

I've been on a JGB kick as of late and have been looking for any shows from '80 specifically. I already have the commercially released shows, so I'm looking for anything else. More than anything I'm hoping to find the March 7&8 run from San Francisco preferably in CD or DVD format.

Most of the 1980 JGB shows were vined a couple of years ago. I don't think 3/7 was included as I don't have it on my spreadsheet. The SHN ID for that show is 14594, and the notes list it as a stellar audience recording, though with the vocals a bit low. I have 3/8 and grade it as an AUD A. I count 9 other shows as A recordings from Jan-Mar 1980,, not including the 2 official releases, and would be willing to include them as a bonus disc on the next JGB vine. If someone has or can download 3/7 I'd appreciate it too.

Just wondering if anyone has the Red Rocks shows from July 82. I don't think they have been vined yet. Kind of surprising.
