This vine is from a great 3-night stand at the Uptown Theater in Chicago IL; February 26-28, 1981. The band was on fire and the playing was fierce. The source for all three shows is SBD/AUD matrix. These were mixed by C. Chappell and I think he did an outstanding job. For the curious minded among you, I am also including the straight soundboard from 2/26 so you can compare the difference between a Matrix and a soundboard.
The package will include a data DVD with all shows in digital lossless format plus audio CD’s for the conversion impaired.

Jumped The Gun

I thought I should mention that while I am on the list I am off to Europe for three weeks on Sunday the 20th. I imagine the vine will get to Lady Witha Fan and then require a while to copy and mail on. It will be in my hands for a week or two but I will be sure to send it on the day I am back. Hey folks.... esp. Richard.... THANK YOU!! I can't stop listening to this run! A GREAT sounding vine.... And I only added one .wav disc that was missing from the set.,... it was converted to cdr's from the beginning I do believe.... but am so glad to have this as FLAC.... I have burned it for several local friends here in Baltimore..... I LOVE this run! The sound of these MTX mixes is impeccable.... Another wonderful example of the fine intoxicating fruit of this vineyard! If you don't have this vine.... GET IT! Thanks all. Raymond

the transportive UPTOWN Chicago run from 1981 is heading your way. 34. Ice Creme Kid 35. RaymondMBrown 36. Oroboros in 9/4 out 9/5 37. deadhead33 As I burn the last night of this run, I'm listening to the opening crystaline guitarwork from "Feel Like a Stranger" from the 1st night (this is so clean!). I must give a shout of thanks to Richard for seeding this wonderful matrix and to Raymond for converting the flac to wav. As a midwesterner, these Uptown shows are close to my heart. Much appreciated. The Truth is realized in an instant, the act is practiced step by step.
