a new, original song by Ozark Matt words and music copyright 2017 all rights reserved. Recorded 9.12.2017. Your sacred heart, it burns true I hope he can be with you 17 times I kissed you there 18 rhymes you cursed me here Pluto knows when to leave Chiron stays as he please It's tragic that you had to go I'll Love you more than you will know You can't believe the words you said He really got inside your head Our life we built, you threw away Without him here, you would have stayed An eternal flame can be reborn It can be reshaped, it can be reformed I reach you now in your dreams We're alone to work on things I hold your hand and hear your voice I am here for you whatever the choice

Hey now family! We will be recreating full Jerry Garcia Band Set lists from 1976-1995. Our tour starts in Seattle, WA and goes down to Santa Cruz, CA. We have a special show on March 8th at Club Fox in Redwood City, with special guest Maria Muldaur, joining me on vocals, to recreate a 1978 JGB show, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Cats Under the Starts tour. Here is our full tour schedule for the Pacific Northwest. After this, we head to the East Coast for some great shows as well. Please keep in touch with us at www.thegarciaproject.com. Gratitude, and much love. Hope to see you at a show. 2018 Pacific Northwest Spring Tour Dates: Feb 27 - Seattle, WA - Tractor Tavern Feb 28 - Portland, OR - Goodfoot Lounge March 1 - Bend, OR - Domino Room March 2 - Eugene, OR - WOW Hall March 4 - Winters, CA - Palms Playhouse March 8 - Redwood City, CA - Club Fox w/ Maria Mauldaur March 9 - Santa Cruz, CA - Michaels On Main March 10 - Fairfax, CA - 19 Broadway I spent a lot of nights in a lot of places with the Jerry Garcia Band, and I’m here to say that I really enjoy what The Garcia Project does with those memories. Mik’s guitar and his and Kat’s vocals stir up some very sweet vibes…some times they almost make me feel like I’m back in, say, 1992 at the Warfield. Check ‘em out. — Dennis McNally, former publicist for the Jerry Garcia Band “The Garcia Project was on point with the whole experience and it didn’t seem like a cover band more like a mirrored band…they are just as real as the Jerry Garcia Band. “ – Buffalo FM Review “If you close your eyes, you’ll swear you are at a Jerry Garcia Band show.” – ecoLocal Magazine “In order for a tribute band to be successful, fans need to look at them as the authority on the artist they are emulating. The Garcia Project pulls it off effortlessly. Go see them live …The Garcia Project is the whole package.” – Jim Gilbert, Upstate Live “”Deadicated“ to carrying on the music and vibe of Jerry that so many still carry in their hearts.” – Albany Times Union The Garcia Project faithfully channels and projects the feelings, emotions and music that propelled the Jerry Garcia Band and the fans through many years of musical bliss. It’s about family, soul searching, rejoicing, contemplating, celebrating, seeking truth and loving one another. It’s The Garcia Project. http://www.thegarciaproject.com

I live in an area much like every other place I have ever lived - very rural. The music is mostly oldies, MoTown, pseudo blues jams, and country western. Guys that play 100 mph over three chords. I know a lot of local musicians, but it always ends up in Creedence and Mustang Sally. If I could find any other Deadheads to jam with, I would surely do so. I can probably play 2/3? of the GD catalog if I can listen to it and have some bass and drums. Rhythm or lead - I don't care. Not to boast, but I am pretty darn good at it, and SOUND good. I like Alabama Getaway, Althea, One More Saturday Night, and Playin' in the Band, for example. I've done a number of these solo, live, over the past 7 years, but no one ever had any idea of what I was playing. The "acornaxe" refers to a 1973 Guild SC-100 (pictured in profile) with the oak leaves and acorns, that I modded in early '75 after getting some advice and a Hod Rod ceramic magnet kit at the Alembic Store when it was in San Francisco. I added coil splitters and a series switch too (it came with a phase switch). I recently spoke with Rose at Alembic, now in Santa Rosa about "Jerry Tone", and as a result I just got a '65 Fender Dual Showman amp head out of Vermont. I don't "clone" Grateful Dead specifically - I like Jorma and Cippolona too, as well as many, many other bands (like Allman Brothers), but it would be fun to do some Dead Covers because that option is "Dead" around here, in the foothills south of Sacramento. Don't be afraid - I can get a good sound at low volume with a smaller amp, but I do like to have access to the original gear, too. I do get in to Terrapin XR once in a while. Just sayin'.

I'm from NW Indiana, it wasn't easy finding like minded individuals with the skill set to take on this type of music. Finally came together for me about 3 years ago. I now have 2 bands dedicated to the music of the Grateful Dead. What's real nice, DeadHeads are very supportive of anything Dead related. It's been my most successful musical adventure to date...

Hey Mars! Looks like you've got a good thing going up there. I'm in central IN (near Indy). Don't get out much, but sometimes I do get into Indy for a show. Def. hit the Boys in any incarnation wherever they have played around here. It's funny, to quote the bumper sticker "Weir Everywhere". My kids are always amazed that everywhere I go, someone eventually comments on my Grateful Dead shirt. Anything from a parking lot attendant in Nashville IN, to a teacher at Purdue. We really are everywhere! Peace, -Dave

We are located in the Garden City/Mineola part of Long Island,NY and we are acoustic guitars, flute and piano. We do some dead, Dylan, Beatles, Robert Hunter, original and an assortment of others. We play for fun but we do gigs once in a while at bars and for parties. I'm also looking to work on a cd of originals and a few obscure covers. My email is nycshel@aol.com if your interested in being part of what we do or if you want us to play in your area or at a party. We could use some percussion and a bass player (maybe even a lead guitar) but open to anything interesting. NYCshel@aol.com. Leave me your name and if you want to play with us, where you live and age. And though we are a fun band we are looking for some commitment (mostly we practice on Monday nights)

Hey now! gr8FLdüde & frenz was formed in 2007 and has been performing throughout Georgia and Alabama on a regular basis ever since. Consisting mostly of veteran musicians from the Atlanta jam-band scene, the band has become well-known for performing both on festival stages and "an evening with..." format consisting of two long sets per show from a repertoire of well over 100 original compositions and cover songs (mainly comprised of Dead, Garcia and classic rock tunes). gr8FLdüde & frenz is the only band to perform at each and every one of the 11 annual Jerry Day ATL celebrations. Check out our FB page where you can view some of our live performance videos from many gigs over the past 11+ years and stay in touch with what's happening on the DeadHead scene in Georgia as we are tightly connected with all of the Dead cover bands in the state. peace, Lewis Newmark, bandleader gr8FLdüde & frenz www.facebook.com/gr8fuldude

Anyone in the Grass Valley area up for some GD jamming? I'm not anywhere near pro level - just for fun. Right now it's just me on guitar and a friend on bass, but we could really use another guitar, some drums, maybe keyboards. Again, just for fun.

I am interested in meeting Sacramento, CA area deadheads who are musicians and are interested in informal jamming. I have been playing electric/acoustic 6-string guitar with a little pedal steel for the past 12 years and frequently play outdoors in Freedom Park on Saturdays with a portable battery-operated rig. I'm no professional, but after 12 years how bad could I be? Contact me and maybe we can jam. Walter

This is a little different than what's usually put here, but I'm looking for bluegrass musicians or people knowledgeable about bluegrass who would be willing to do a quick interview via zoom. I'm a student working on a project talking specifically about the banjo but also about bluegrass music generally, and as part of it I'm conducting a bunch of interviews with musicians, instrument builders, professors, and music lovers. The end product is gonna be a multimedia thing that will include some video stuff, some written stuff, some photography stuff, and maybe some other stuff who knows. If you'd be interested in doing an interview, know someone who would be interested, or have anything else you wanna tell/ask me about please feel free to PM me or comment on this

Hey Now.. We are a a rock and roll trio from Southern NH called The Bulkheadz.. (guitar/mando, guitar/bass, drums)
We are looking to add an EXPERIENCED keyboardist to our sound.
Someone who...
- has experience playing live in a band setting..
- can read music, understand music theory/language
- can improv/jam.. be able to follow along easily with others, "pick it up" quick

We’re all in our 50-60 somethings.. families, jobs, etc.. we do this for fun.
We typically gig about once a month…2-3 sets of mixed classic rock and 'dance' rock across many different artists from the 60’s to today! We are always coming up with some obscure tunes to cover.
We try to practice once a week.

We’ll have a rehearsal/“jam” session.
You come sit in with us and we run the list below from our current rotation. Please know the music, be able to improv to the music, and take solos anywhere in the music. We need someone with finesse.. dynamics! Vocals are always a plus!
Eventually, we will expand into other interesting keyboard and piano tunes... These are just tunes to get us going for now.

Thanks for listening..
The Bulkheadz (with a z)

Audition/jam tunes:

American Band
And It Stoned Me
Atlantic City
Call Me the Breeze
Come Together
Harder They Come
Hey Pocky Way
Stop Dragging My Heart Around
I Shot The Sheriff (reggae feel)
I’m Your Captain / Closer to Home
Jack Straw / GD
Love Her Madly
Mama Dont Dance
Mama Told Me Not to Come
Ophelia

Thanks,

And not steal it? I got it written in one of my note books. I accidentally took way too much LSD and wrote this or rather recorded it because the ink kept running off the paper into my lap and onto the ground.

If You Find Him

If you find him he will regale to you tales of wonder and far off lands.
There will be no bargains nor demands.
He'll ask not of you a single penny or one thin dime.
Only your company and the suspension of time.

When you find him you will know.
He'll be draped from head to his toes.
Arrayed in only the finest of robes.
The span of his existence no one knows.

It always has and always will depend on you.
Just what will be the choice to do?

Your path lies only in his mind.
What strange adventures you will find.
Yes it's true, the path lies only in his mind.
So listen carefully and please be kind.

All the tales are from eons long passed.
Long before time itself and the universes crashed.
Painting darkness with swirling color and burst of light.
Slicing through the voids unyielding might.

It always has and always will depend on you
Just what will be the choice to do?

Trust me it will be all right
There's no need to retreat in fright
Only adventures to you will come
There is no harm that can be done

He may even offer an invite to watch sunsets while balancing on the edge of Jupiter's ring.
Dance on her dust, listen to the ancients sing.
Alice might be there, mad hatter and the Cheshire too
And of course the caterpillar smoking his hookah, his skin so blue.

It always has and always will depend on you.
Just what will be the choice to do?

His magic powders, tinctures and potions are the key.
If you imbibe, strange places and things you'll see.
Seconds tick by or has it's been hours
While you were busy picking stars as if they were flowers.

Now some will say sorrow and pain is all he knows.
Only tales of misery, all the tales of woes.
But you know, that’s not true
Just as the oceans deep and the sky is blue.

It always has and always will depend on you.
Just what will be the choice to do?

All the tales are from eons long passed.
Long before time itself and the universes crashed.
Painting the darkness with swirling colors and light.
Gazing upon the patterns, minds melt at the very sight.

And when its time for him to pack his wares and go
Be so sure you'll never be the same, oh the magical things you'll know
Every time you think of him you hear the universe hum
Along with the beating of a distant drum

It always has and always will depend on you.
Just what will be the choice to do?

Now gather round while I regale to you tales of wonder and far off lands.
There will be no bargains nor demands.
I'll ask not of you a single penny or one thin dime.
Only your company and the suspension of time.

For you see, I became him as he did me
Is that really so hard for you to see
My magic powders, tinctures and potions are the key
If you imbibe, strange places and things you'll see.

It always has and always will depend on you.
Just what will be the choice to do?

All I ask of you, come dance among the galaxies and explore the universe with me
Oh what strange places and things we'll see
Just you and me perched upon a pointy star
Its really not that close but I promise it's not too far

It always has and always will depend on you.
Just what will be the choice to do?

Hey folks, Hope you all don't mind a hello in the manner of a share of our musical mission, Starfield Cookout. We're a homespun original vanrock band from the Grateful Dead wasteland called the Canadian nord est. Nonetheless, we play a good "Deal" in around Montreal, and YAY, we're getting frighteningly close to releasing our second record which should be doosie. Would love to get your thoughts, and most certainly, (if you like), to help guide us toward venues in your locale. Who knows where this spring, summer tour will take us. You can find the OGs with some prerelease tracks from "Beautiful Friend" (#2 ) on Soundcloud slash tullycaster or live on the Youtube under Starfield Cookout. Thanks for the opp to present our stuff to the very best fans in the world. Cheers and Peace, Bren & Lisa

Hey Marye! Thanks for the word and the reply. We're into the 70s mostly and the dead, JJ, Steve Miller are kindof closest to where we go. We do alot of dead, and occasionally bluegrass though not as much these days. Once you're writing songs it's hard to figure what the category is so we invented vanrock...;)

We are called End of the Line, and we are based out of Nashville, TN.

We reapproach the catalog of the Allman Brothers Band with fresh (young-ish) ears and minds, having cherry picked some of the best musicians from original projects in Nashville. We are all life long Deadheads, and you'll often catch tunes like the Dead's arrangement of 'Not Fade Away' and 'So Many Roads' woven into our setlists. And hardly a run goes by without a deep dive into an 'Other One' jam (that we typically connect to ABB's 'Black Hearted Woman'.) We will continue to add ABB and Dead tracks into our catalog year after year, city after city. Musicians such as Marcus King, Maggie Rose, Pete Levin from the Gregg Allman Band, Audley Freed from Black Crowes, Moon Taxi, etc. have performed on stage with us.

Latest tour dates -

2/24 Duluth, GA - Eddie Owen Presents the Red Clay Theatre
2/25 Taccoa, GA - Historic Ritz Theatre
3/3 Columbia, TN - The Mulehouse
3/4 Knoxville, TN - Open Chord Stage
3/11 Marrietta, GA - The Strand Theatre Marietta
3/18 Winston-Salem, NC - The Ramkat
4/7 Cincinnati, OH - The Southgate House Revival

I'm in the Boulder/Denver area.

I was playing in a band called Wrecking Trains (rock/blues) for about 8-10 years, but it's kind of broken up. We released a self produced album called Hot Rod Love. I also like to play with my wife as the Tracy Weiser Project, she's got an amazing voice. All this stuff is easy to find on Reverb Nation.

But I am looking to form more of a jam type of band, creative, original tunes. What I really need is a keyboard/piano player. I think adding those sounds to the songs I write could really evolve into something fun.

Vince Charming Band is gigging all over NorCal, but we need a harmony singer. We're influenced by the Americana side of the Dead and most certainly by the Hunter/Garcia songwriting team. We have tons of gigs, but our sound really need a female harmony singer. If that person could also play an instrument well, that would be a bonus, but skilled harmony singing would suffice. Check out my band at vincecharming dot com and/or replay here.

Hey now! I have been trying to get back on this site for a while. I attended the first 2 D&Co shows at the Forum, and the 3rd one in Phoenix - I was right in front of Oteil, and he saw my Fur Peace Ranch Alumni T-shirt and gave me a shout out after "Feels Like a Stranger" - big dual grin there. My wife and I went to all three of the final San Francisco shows in July. I would very much like to find some people to jam with who know and love this music. Not "fan" stuff - musician stuff, and playing it well and right. I am very much into putting on a professional show with the "right" chords, etc. I've played electric with Jorma Kaukonen, and he approved of my ability. 100 miles east of the Bay Area. I know how to "sound like the record", not just blast it out. Is there anybody out there? Help on the way? Anybody? Thanks!
