I bought a Shakedown St sign at the Furthur show at the Mann Center in Philly back in 2010 from a couple who made street signs. They also had a red Terrapin Station sign that I would've bought if I'd had the money. Any chance you know where I can get one?

I've seen some (the bit that's included with the GD Scrapbook). I have to admit, I've always steered away from this one 'cause of Jerry's bad vocal night. I'll give it another shot though on your recommendation. More pro video of this would be nice I guess. Wasn't this show a TV broadcast, or am I mistaken? Pretty sure it was a radio show at least.

and Tapers Compendium said 11/24/78 was the 'For Deadheads Only' show.Jerry did have some voice issues and I think that during that era this show got discounted during those days when his voice was soooo on. Considering what his voice sounded like in some of those shows in the 90s (or even some 80s) was like, I would encourage you to give this another listen. On further (pun intended) thought, maybe I should give it another spin as well.

Vault Minders-Aren't there any of the later Red Rocks video 'proshots' in the vault that we could have in DVD ? Pretty please? We will not complain or crab, I promise. Just to see an era of the GD at that site would be transportive.

Have you seen the video from 11/24/78 @ Capitol Theatre?
I have to say that is one of my very favorite video offerings from 1978.Of course, the video quality is not up to par but it is such a great show. The boys (and Donna) having a wonderful time. The Taping Compendium notes on this show 'Highlights: The entire show'. Haza el-Din is a special guest and when I listened to this on the radio 'back in the day', I loved it. That second set Estimated>Shakedown>jam>drums>Ollin Arageed>Fire>Sugar Magnolia is totally unique. Deadbase XI's account of 11/24/78 by David Greenbrug relates (in part) "Fire segues so seamlessly into Sugar Magnolia that it is easy to miss the transition entirely. It was practically choreographed! In one of the video's finest moments, Jerry, who seems to have instigated the segue, looks over at Weir with a proud stance, as if to say "Hey, wasn't that neat?" while Bob looks back with an utterly shocked espression. I think it took a few seconds for it to register with Bob that they weren't playing Fire anymore!" Anyway I found this video to be a delight even through the sketchy video. 11/24/1978 would be one for Rhino to put out on a DVD. Or give me video of the 1978 Winterland 'From Egypt with Love' shows (pick any of them). Or on second thought give me all of them in sharp DVD resolution. Is the Duke show, when Jerry actually plays drums? Is that the one?

I could have consulted my taping compendium to see that the video from '78 is quite limited and does not include the July Red Rocks shows. The April Duke show piques my interest a little, but that's a show that doesn't imprint on my brain as much as the Red Rocks shows do.

Before the 2021 SPAC Dead &Co. show, a gal at the Belvedere hotel in Sch'dy had the most amazing SYF beadwork bag! Simply gorgeous. Her husband told me the name of the vendor, said he'd prolly be on Shakedown, but - I couldn't find him. And now I've forgotten the name, ofc.
Does anybody know who does simply stellar GD beadwork?
Any leads gratefully appreciated!

Hey everyone, I’ve got a small collection of tapes I’ve been working on but many have no J-cards or are just basic cards with set lists. I’m wondering if anyone out there has some old sheets of Deadhead created J-cards still available? I found 2 on eBay but nothing else. Any help is appreciated.

Taping Compendium, Volume III

Does anyone know a place that is selling it for $60-100? Or does anyone want to sell me their copy?

I own the first 2 but I can't find this one for under $200 (and many want $500+) and I can only afford $60-100.

PM if you know a place or if you want to sell me your copy.
Thank you

I'm seeking a recommendation for good software and/or an app to use to manage and play my ripped Dead CD collection. It seems surprisingly hard to find something that will work! At this point, my music is saved as FLAC files on a hard drive, and I am imagining using Dropbox for transfer between PC and iphone. I'm just need something to play the music, using playlists for my ripped CDs etc. Any ideas will help...thanks! -Bill ; wnschult@gmail

Hi, tried looking for the files in the internet but i didnt find anything. so i'm gonna rty my luck here.

Recently i bought the Cornell 77 vinyl box set and it was in bad shape due to humidity (don't worry sorted out partial refund with seller all good). this didn't bother me too much as the vinyls were undamaged and the box wasnt too bad on the outside, also I listen to my records and i am not going to resell the box. However, the booklet that came with the box was completely ruined and i really wanted to read through it while listening. I was therefore thinking that i would find some PDF files and print out the booklet myself. does andone have the booklet and could scan the pages for me og have access to a PDF file of the pages?

Thank you in advance!

Desperately searching for the 1996 Lithuania Olympics basketball team hat. It is a green baseball cap with a yellow, green, and red basketball going through a basketball net with the outline of a skull.

I went and looked at the Lithuania Strong website (years ago I got the 1992 poster from them, signed by Sarunas) and I'm not seeing any hats. Though the stealie-ish water bottle for this year's Olympics is kinda cool. (I have no connection with these guys, but due to a series of events I happened to be at the Warriors game where Bobby and Mickey presented the check to Sarunas in 1992, and it was memorable...)

Hi! I'm looking for concert posters from one or more of the following shows:
11/13/1972 (Kansas City)
11/13/78 (Boston)
11/13/87 (Long Beach, CA)

I'm not even sure if posters were released for all those dates. The only one I've seen a picture of is the Kansas City show. If anyone has any of these that they are willing to sell, or can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

I have most of a version of this on a cassette which has seen better days. NOT the cover band, not the Mickey version. Clever, ascerbic Jerry vocals. "Not just your run-of-the-mill weird..." Does anyone have any information about this demo? My very old boom box tried to eat the cassette... I ought to find someplace that does digital transfers and see if any of it can be salvaged. Incomplete version, but it's really interesting. To me, anyway.

Hello, I am posting this here and on the Tapers area also.
My good buddy and Grateful Dead fan (Jerry) passed away in February. He turned me on to all things GD. I am helping his wife dispense with the cassettes Jerry collected over the last 40-50 years, estimated at appx. 500. This collection is in Charlotte, NC and available to any Deadhead who would enjoy and take as good care of them as Jerry did. If you are seriously interested, let me know. (400 in wall rack + 100 on a shelf). Most are GD, -some Hot Tuna, Airplane mixed in. Hopefully folks can reply and I will see it. Thanks Rick. I have pics of the collection to share if that helps. I'll check back here for interest.

Hello Rick, I'm sorry to hear of your good friend's passing. I saw your post regarding relocating his old Dead tapes. I don't live in Charlotte, but if you would be willing to put some in a box for me, I would pay for shipping and your time spent going to the trouble.
If this is something you're willing to do, I'd be glad to give those tapes a new home.
Again, sorry for your loss.
Best,
Wyatt

Hello friends,
I am looking for what I think might be a pretty rare poster. It is a small poster that just says “Grateful Dead” and has a picture of a skull wearing a Viking helmet. My friend had one (she claimed she offered it to me at some point, but I don’t think this happened because I’m not one to turn down a free GD poster rare or not), but she realized she could sell it and did so. The only other thing like it she found online while trying to figure out what she had was an envelope someone posted in a forum somewhere that had the same skull with a Viking helmet design. The poster she had she found in a random vinyl she got at the thrift store (not even sure it was a GD vinyl). Anyways, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this poster since- and I would really like to get my hands on one so that I can gift it to my friend who is an older deadhead who taught me a lot about the music and the band’s history. Does anybody know where I might find one of these? Like I said it’s just a small poster that says “Grateful Dead” and has a skull wearing a Viking helmet on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi All,

I'm trying to locate a documentary video of the 1980 Oakland NYE show. The video was up on Vimeo as video # 155876550 for a long time, but it is now password protected, and I can't identify the owner to request access.

My wife and I appear in the video at around 01 24 19. My current profile photo is an old frame grab from that video.

I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me with finding this. I'd really like to get a copy of the documentary. (YT has good videos of the show, itself, but not the documentary).

Thanks!
