    My last show...
My friend Charles was working the light board with Candice Brightman and got me and my friend Bob comps. When we showed up he took us backstage by the entrance behind the beer garden and we went into the lighting crew's pit underneath Jerry's set-up. There was a couch and some recliners and we proceeded to get entirely baked. We went to the commissary and the monks who played during space took the foosball out of the arcade, so Bob and I had to stick to video games. Our tickets were for the lawn I think. And between sets we got backstage again and ended up in the commissary at a table. This guy asked if he could share the table, and it turned out to be Ken Kesey. We chatted about the first set being pretty good then he took off. We ended up sitting at the light board for the second set, and Candice and I chatted quite a bit, but I don't remember what we talked about. Good show for my last one.

    tickets
Daughter and I drove up for this show, had problems with our tickets as someone else had same crappy reserved seats way off to side back of orchestra. This very wonderful lady came to our rescue, she moved us to new seats, twelve rows back dead center, around and around what a crazy sound

This show started a three day run at Shoreline and the crowd was in for a total party. I remember a brother who was completely taking command of the audience before the show. He would go off in tirades with words that would end in "-tion" and after two or three minutes of that he would tuck in to a cannonball and turn himself into a rolling ball blasting down the hill on the grass! The dude was off the charts cool! Nothin' left to do but :) :) :)

This was my first miracle and the last show I went into that Jerry play in the bay area. I seen 1 JGB show earlier in the year. It was fucking amazing; so were the handles of gels....SOTM made me cry the whole song. I still cry or at least well up when I here that song. Jerry knew......

This was my last show as I know it was for many others. It was a magic one that I will always remember fondly. I am looking for a downloadable copy of the show. I have found one that I am able to listen to online but really want to be able to get it on my ipod for mobile listening. SOTM was amazing and is just one of those moments I will always remember. Please help if you can.

This! Was my last out going since oct 89. I was enduring a major change, in love, and... But what I remember was great. I had learned quickly that going to see the show in a relaxed, mostly sober, straight, positive state of mind, I would get higher, and happier than I ever thought. IF? I am glad that I did get to see another show. Some awesome stuff. Just wish I could have let myself go like going to the show had so many, many, times before. And no-one since than that I have seen since has allowed me to lose myself in the same way. Tapers, G.D. radio rocks. The sound/song remains the same

My last show, although I didn't know it - of course I feared for the future of the band given the state of Jerry. Like many deadheads, I was a was a complete run guy ever since 1973. See all the shows at the venue and see 3 or more completely different shows, and appreciate the show arc. By the late 80's you could see five shows with no song repeats. This run, my last, I only did Friday, the first night. On Sunday, I was flying to Europe with Mom and my girlfriend/partner. So we decided to only go Friday, and take Mom. My last show was a great sharing of my Dead experience with Mom. We had 100's for her, and she and I made it to the top on the grass, also which was a grate moment for me. So I shared my last show with Mom.

Some friends and I were working in Yosemite Park that summer. A buddy had an old VW Bus and some tickets for the show. It was a perfect opportunity. Not surprisingly we had a few troubles with the bus on the way to the amphitheater, so we arrived late into the first set. It was a blast - St of C was excellent, space was a trip. All in all, an excellent first and only show.
