IKOIKOALLDAY I just finished a great book -a comedy, suspense, thriller all in one where the main character is a major deadhead and the story is riddled with dead references, show experiences and lots of other dead-related stuff. Book is called One Hour Martinizing and is available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and the authors site- www.franksaitta-onehourmartinizing.com Check it out I bought 2 for a couple of kindred spirits in my life, enjoy!

I got mine on eBay several years ago, $300 for an opened copy. Pristine, but opened. Don't know what they're bidding up to now but I saw a "Buy it now" unopened for $895. What can ya do, they're not getting any cheaper, and they're not making any more ;^( It's not just "out of print", it was a limited, numbered edition of 10,000 copies that went quick, as I recall. ********************************************* I have a sigfile! --> www.kindveggieburritos.com *********************************************

I know this is a long shot, but I am looking for anyone with the Complete Fillmore Box Set. I just got into the band this year and I am trying to get my hands on it. I have the 3 disc set and it is absolutely unbelieveable! Of course, the next step was to get the full run and I found out about this box set and its out-of-print status and its ridiculous cost on Ebay! If anyone is looking to part with their copy, please let me know. I understand this is really a shot in the dark, but you gotta keep on keepin' on...

It's only money, after all, and I've done some way stupider things with money. Volume three via Amazon was a hundred bucks (very like new except for a couple of "discard" stamps: its a library discard but the library had reinforced the spine w/nice clear tape so it's almost better than new), volume two was around $60 and is totally new. Gotta great deal on volume one via eBay though: the seller was selling V1, + a copy of What a Long Strange Trip (the songbook), and a copy of the Official Book of the Deadheads (pub 1983). Won the auction for $12! All these and a couple more Deadish books are this year's Xmas presents for myself (I'd be getting a copy of the new 365 book through the deadstore w/my new Road trips but the deadstore is currently out of inventory) Can't find a copy of the Taping Addendum anywhere though. Any suggestions/leads would be much appreciated. Mark, I think Ltapilot saw the same prices you did when he looked. Don't want to make you feel bad, but when I bought them early in the decade, I got 2 of the volumes on clearance, under $5 each.

you can listen to this as a stream or download the files in several formats - if you do SHN, then you will have to get a program to convert them to WAV before burning to CD. Etree has some good tools & background descriptions you can read at your own leasurehttp://www.etree.org/mkw.html Note - you CAN capture the soundboard streams - but you need the tools to do it. I believe Silent Bob can do it - but the final quality will depend on your equipment. http://www.5starshare.com/Silent-Bob_basic-soft249.html

thanks all...I found a downloadable version from Buckeye Lake 1993 that I attended...was terribly over-served so don't remember it all that clearly. We got there very early to avoid the inevitable Buckeye traffic but spent those idle hours in the parking lot visiting the devil's workshop I suppose. can't figure out how to download and burn some concerts...they go directly to i-tunes but I can't make a CD: this show has a SMOKIN' F.H. but I can't burn a for-personal-use-only copy 09/08/93- Richfield Coliseum - Richfield, OH. Any ideas? I'm low tech. my college aged sons and friend said that format could not be copied but I felt I was semi-patronized and blown off. Thanks all. the tip on archive.org is cool...been visiting shows I've seen over the decades.

Hello, I do not want to ruin everything, but I had a sister than went to this concert when I was 6 years old and a drunk driver killed her after this show. This was the last time any of my family would see her. I was hoping you or someone else had a copy of Grateful Dead Live at Deer Creek Music Center on 1990-07-18 in good quality or anything from that show would mean a lot to me. Email me back at indyrdc@yahoo.com Thanks

I'm learning to play bass (lessons for about a year).Alas, I have been unable to find any books or sheet music that has any bass music for the Dead. Amazon seems to have nothing either. I can't even find much out there for PowerTabs or GuitarPro. I'm afraid my ear isn't trained well enough to pick out more than a few notes from a song. I realize Phil is very improvisational, but there are still key riffs, etc. that I could learn from sheet music. Does anyone know where I can get some of the Dead's basslines? I'm thinking something simple like Bertha to start with, then work up to GDTRFB, but I'd love to play any Dead. I just want to play it right. Thanks

This one falls under the "time flies when you're oblivious" category. Set the wayback machine, Sherman! Way, way back in 1983, on the way to the Ventura shows from Huntington Beach, my friends and I stopped at the MacDonald's on Kanan Rd in Agoura off the 101 Freeway for a quick bite. Somehow or another in the process of getting in and out of the car my Levi Jacket fell out, never to be seen again. I didn't notice it was missing until we got to the fairgrounds. I returned to MacDonald's in a frantic search but it was in vain as the jacket was gone and I ended up missing the first set. Didn't care about missing the show but the Jacket had sentimental value to me and couldn't be replaced. It was old and frayed and covered with Grateful Dead patches and buttons and had travelled all over the country with me for about 10 years. To this day I am saddened at losing that jacket so I thought that I would try a search here in case by some wierd coincidence someone out there found it. My only hope after losing it was that someone who was cold or really needed it found it. I refuse to think it was stolen, I know it was an accident and probably just fell out of the car. If someone out there has found it please, please let me know; it was a beloved friend and needs to come home. Thank You ............ The shirts sold out before the show started. I've inquired about getting more to no avail. I did see the posters for sale on ebay. If Obama gets the nomination, we'll be making steely/obama stickers and giving them out for free or self-addressed stamped envelope if mailing is required. We've secured financing to print them and cannot sell them due to copyright yada yada yada. I'll try and remember to post here when we get them.

hi - looking for an old photo of Jerry Garcia smiling in a kitchen, over a cup of coffee, i think. Not sure of the year (70's most likely), or the photographer - it was black and white, and I most likely found it in one of the many retrospective magazine articles in 1995 soon after he passed away. Not sure of much else, but if anyone has information on the photographer, or where I can purchase a print, I would be most grateful for any leads. I cut that one out of the magazine, framed it, and gave it to my friend Josh as a house-warming gift back in 96 or so, but would like to find another for my kitchen. Thanks.

I am hoping this might work... In 1994 I was filmed, with a bunch of cool heads, dancing at the Palace of Fine Arts. The video was edited into three different versions and played on the round screen above the band. One of the edits had me in it a lot. I saw myself a couple times Dec '04 in Oakland. It was amazing to see myself dacing behind the boys! I would absoultely be ecstatic if I could get my hands on a copy of the video tape. I believe I received a "Thank You" letter and sticker in the mail a couple of weeks later from office, I can't remember who signed it. What do you think, my friends, anyone know if I can get a copy? My best to you! Tricia

Hey Twisty - I just read your post. I'll see if I can find the pics I have with my best friend's psychedelic, SYF, homemade banner (which was stolen at Giants Stadium that same summer) hanging on my Caravan, down by that river. I also hung that banner off the Redskins "Ring of Fame", that same concert. Those were the old daze with film and paper pictures, so it may take some time to find but I'll do my best. Also, I'm not connected to time the way most folks are so don't despair if it appears I've abandoned the issue, that's why I don't do vines, fyi. I want that banner back from the clowns that stole it, so I really want to post that pic. Speaking of SYF, I thought everyone might like to see this one, the Mitchell-Hedges crystal skull. Enjoy! Mitchell-Hedges Skull SYF "Since you've all been such good boys and girls, I would like to take everybody in this entire audience out for milk and cookies. There are buses outside. I don't know if I'm in the right thread or not, but I have talked to the people at the store and they're telling me to just make this announcement in one of the Forums. So here goes, I just recently acquired a vast collection of Grateful Dead albums and 45's. I also have some autographed memorabilia. I tried putting a few things on EBAY where I have been selling for the past eight years, but that didn't seem to be the right marketplace for some of the stuff. And as many of you already know, if you want to sell on EBAY, you'd better be prepared to give the stuff away. Now, I'm not looking to make a fortune on this stuff, but I would like to recover at least my initial investment and possibly make a few bucks as an end result. So, if you're looking for any of the old wax or anything with signatures, give me a shout at bennyboop@hotmail.com and let me know what you're looking for. If I have it, we can talk price, if I don't have it...I'll let you know up front. Just a sample of the many things I do have are an autographed copy of the album Jerry Garcia by the great one himself, an autographed "Mars Hotel" cover with record, an autographed "Go To Heaven" album with record and an autographed album cover of "Anthem of the Sun" (I don't think the record is inside it though). All four of these items are nicely framed and ready to be shipped...I can furnish photos if you want a look-see. I also have some promotional "DeadHead" records and cover artwork, the super rare 1973 green vinyl LP "Flood Damaged" and a whole lot more. So if this interests anyone..holler at me and if I'm violating any of the rules of the website, please let me know.

I have this old GD t-shirt that was given to me by my father. It is a Liquid Blue shirt that on the front has the "Steal your face" Logo, with Paradise on top and Waits on the bottom. Below that are 5 skeletons dancing. On the back the words are "without love in the dream it will never come true" with the 5 skeletons below that. This was given to me by my dad almost 10 years ago, and I know he had it much longer than that. Considering it was from when he was about 50 pounds lighter. My issue is that the shirt is falling apart now, and I want to give my dad a present. I contacted liquidblue and they state that they never made this shirt. I suspect it is so old they just don't have the pattern anymore. I would like to somehow get this shirt remade and get 2 of them, one for me and one for my father. This statement on the back of the shirt has sort of become a personal motto for me, and I have my father to thank for that. So if anyone can help me, I would appreciate this.

I am a deadhead currently living near ukiah in mendocino county. I am desperately looking for a place to live, a room or house to rent, or a couch a floor to sleep on. I play guitar and might start college in the fall. I'm 20 years old and have up to $1300 to spend on housing monthly. I would like to be somewhere in the San Francisco area but will consider anywhere in the world. If anyone knows of a place that might work, contact me at gwl2012@yahoo.com. Hey everyone... I'm hoping some more seasoned Dead collectors can help me out. There was a great little restaurant here in St. Louis that had a poster showing artists who influenced the GD. It featured Chuck Berry, Do Diddley, Bod Dylan, etc... I've been googling for days and I can't find it. If someone could just provide me the name of the piece I'm sure I could find it. Thanks in advance!
