what with Furthur NYE tix going on sale and all. Let the gathering begin! My pal Bennett just scored us 12/30 tix in the KFOG presale. We are in agreement that we are way past having the stamina for the full-blown 12/31 NYE show and will leave it to you youngsters!

My to and from dates are the 23rd and the 26th of July. I'm basing my visit on the SF Marathon - I'm running the first leg over the bridge and finishing in the park - but I'm eager to make connections with things Dead in my down time. I believe the Giants are out of town that weekend - although a ballgame in SF would be a hoot. I've been to a number of Cards vs.Cubs games at Wrigley and had a blast - especially when the Cards win! I have a million things I'd like to do but realize this is mission of recognizance and, therefore, am up for whatever direction a Grateful guide could give me. . " Where does the time go? "

I'm departing from the midwest 7/23 - I could really use an ambassador to see me around for a while. Any takers willing to help out with this little dream, please, pm me. " Where does the time go? "

    Ted, take BART to SF
then transfer to the Muni streetcar one level up from the BART station (all the ones along Market anyhow; I'd suggest Embarcadero or Montgomery). Goes right to the ballpark and the signage is pretty clear as I recall. (Check the transit sites just to be sure, but this is what I've done before and what I plan to do for the Jerry Giants game in August.)

my little bro did a great job in an english production of the Marriage of Figaro at the Elgin Theatre in Toronto. (That's Ontario, Canada =) I'm so proud of him! It was put on by Atelier de Montreal and it was excellent. I hope we get to meet soon, Richard!

Is there a public transit mode from Oakland or Sacramento for getting to the ballpark in SF?

a week from today. A bud and I are going to do the SF 1/2 maraton - his 1st, my 3rd. Of course, I'll be making a stop or two at Amoeba and marauding the streets of North Beach and the Missions. I love the two hour time-zone thing - I'm from St. Louis - and the feeeel of the pristine skies and cooool temps. Oh, lawdy! The coolest thing is my family and I (and daughter's boyfriends - more than one daughter) were very recently in Hilton Head, S.C. Two different universes in a month!!!So if you see a bald Italian and a tan Irishman, be sure to say hola, y'all!

I grew up in Ohio, lived in Colorado for 15 years, and now live in Adelaide, South Australia. In 3 weeks my wife, three step kids(15,14,10), mother/ father-in-law and I will be in San Francisco starting a nine week holiday taking us all over the U.S. San Fran is my favorite city in the states. This will be the first trip for my family. We just have 4 days there, but have much planned. After that we head to Vegas, Denver, South Carolina, Atlanta, Orlando, back north to D.C., New York, Niagra Falls, Ohio, Tennesse, then back to S.C. to fly back here to Adelaide. A trip of a lfetime for the kids and hopefully they will see the real America rather than the hollywood version. See ya soon.
