I feel kind of proud, I just got kicked out for the first time.

I think I got kicked out for inactivity... about 5 minutes or so without posting. anyways, there is still a 30 second delay for posts? can't the 'puter specialists remove that delay? or cut it down to 5 seconds. hard to actually 'chat' if there is a delay.

I wonder if the chat room, would in effect, replace the usual forum, and the number of posts would drop significantly... but the chat room still seems a bit too sporadic and full of hinky delays at the moment me thinks. peace.

let's keep an eye on the situation. I see the duplicate post bug is alive and well, so there may be underlying issues. The whole site is about to migrate to a new hosting service, which may take care of some of the weird behavior. Or introduce a fresh crop....

was slow the other day, too. Tiger Lilly and I were in a kind of Frick and Frack bit, going back and forth between slow private messages and trying to use the chat troom. are you here? are YOU here?... also, this may be, probably, a local issue, but on my old iboook Mac, 2001 version, I can't chat at all. I can see and use the forum,no problemo, but I can't read the chat stuff or write on it. My old lady's 'puter is windows, some old HP piece of shit lap top, but that works fine with chat. is the chat windows only?? seems unfair if so. I'm frigging Steve Jobs over here. ( -:

Where you goin' with that Mac in your hands? Chat works fine with Firefox on linux, so it's certainly not "Windoze Only." The chatroom is heavily dependent on a browser technology called Javascript, though, and if it's been a while since you updated your web browser software then that may be the issue. Just makin' a suggestion, that's all. Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

I'm using a four-year-old Mac

with Firefox, and chat works fine. But a 2001 model might not run something necessary, as mine seems to be at the old end of what the software will run on.

old dog can't learn those new trix... the only Firefox I ever heard of was a piss poor Clint Eastwood movie, or was it Tommy Cruise... the only Java I know comes from beans. you know, a cup of 'Joe' ( -; seriously, though, not a big deal really to borrow her 'puter, and as I remember, I think I got up to Panther on the Mac software, maybe 3 or 4 years ago, so I am outdated again, because the original version wouldn't run a newer ipod or something like that. thanks for the advice and helpful hints. and once you go Mac, you never go back! what's better than a Mac in your lap? (please fill in the blanks with a sure to be deleted by the moderator POOR TASTE joke) yuk yuk yuk peace.

in to see what condition the condition was in! a grateful good day to all:) i see we are now sending cyberpostcards, turn me over, heres the visual, orangered glow breaking over purpleishgray mountain peaks feathering out into turquois blue sky chasing away early morning blackness(and somewhere in the distance a coyote howls) they make cards with sounds too!). so thats my morning so far, could never have said all that in the chat, would of taken at least 3 boots and a pair of flipflops, next thing ya know your in margraritaville surrounded by dorsil fins(ahhh! blink eyes). i jest:) n' injest;))) anyway,i hope that all is well in your day, me, i actually have some pixels that need some manipulation,( in best nickelson voice) "they need to be corrected".
