I bought a Shakedown St sign at the Furthur show at the Mann Center in Philly back in 2010 from a couple who made street signs. They also had a red Terrapin Station sign that I would've bought if I'd had the money. Any chance you know where I can get one?

I've seen some (the bit that's included with the GD Scrapbook). I have to admit, I've always steered away from this one 'cause of Jerry's bad vocal night. I'll give it another shot though on your recommendation. More pro video of this would be nice I guess. Wasn't this show a TV broadcast, or am I mistaken? Pretty sure it was a radio show at least.

and Tapers Compendium said 11/24/78 was the 'For Deadheads Only' show.Jerry did have some voice issues and I think that during that era this show got discounted during those days when his voice was soooo on. Considering what his voice sounded like in some of those shows in the 90s (or even some 80s) was like, I would encourage you to give this another listen. On further (pun intended) thought, maybe I should give it another spin as well.

Vault Minders-Aren't there any of the later Red Rocks video 'proshots' in the vault that we could have in DVD ? Pretty please? We will not complain or crab, I promise. Just to see an era of the GD at that site would be transportive.

Have you seen the video from 11/24/78 @ Capitol Theatre?
I have to say that is one of my very favorite video offerings from 1978.Of course, the video quality is not up to par but it is such a great show. The boys (and Donna) having a wonderful time. The Taping Compendium notes on this show 'Highlights: The entire show'. Haza el-Din is a special guest and when I listened to this on the radio 'back in the day', I loved it. That second set Estimated>Shakedown>jam>drums>Ollin Arageed>Fire>Sugar Magnolia is totally unique. Deadbase XI's account of 11/24/78 by David Greenbrug relates (in part) "Fire segues so seamlessly into Sugar Magnolia that it is easy to miss the transition entirely. It was practically choreographed! In one of the video's finest moments, Jerry, who seems to have instigated the segue, looks over at Weir with a proud stance, as if to say "Hey, wasn't that neat?" while Bob looks back with an utterly shocked espression. I think it took a few seconds for it to register with Bob that they weren't playing Fire anymore!" Anyway I found this video to be a delight even through the sketchy video. 11/24/1978 would be one for Rhino to put out on a DVD. Or give me video of the 1978 Winterland 'From Egypt with Love' shows (pick any of them). Or on second thought give me all of them in sharp DVD resolution. Is the Duke show, when Jerry actually plays drums? Is that the one?

I could have consulted my taping compendium to see that the video from '78 is quite limited and does not include the July Red Rocks shows. The April Duke show piques my interest a little, but that's a show that doesn't imprint on my brain as much as the Red Rocks shows do.

Ok so I am getting way out on a limb but stranger things have occurred in my life. I am Looking for a Rasta bag/backpack that was with a white painted plank of wood with about 6 photographs pinned to the front and a miracle sign on the back. The pack Had 8x10 COPIES of the photos and negs. Like I said it's a long shot but who knows possibly a Kind Oregon Head found the ground score and was able to share. Or someone remember some friend finding these. there were about 100 8x10 in the bag. So they could have touched a few Heads in the area.Aloha for reading Derek

In 2004, The Dead posted one song from each show on the tour on the website for download. I just had a recent hard drive crash and lost mucho GB of live music. (I was going to backup, I swear). Most of these songs I had burned to CD, and I only need the last four songs on the tour. Can anybody point me to a download site to grab these four songs. I would prefer the unedited versions, as e-tree has a (dead) torrent with edited files. Thanks much.

Please do not solicit recordings of commercial releases, however out of print. Lots of people are bummed about the limited edition aspects of this box set, and I don't blame them, but as others have noted, a)yes, it is a limited edition and that's why people want so much for it, evidently because they think someone will pay that much (hey, I missed it myself), and b)making unauthorized copies of it or soliciting same in this forum is not okay. Sorry.

Hey, anyone know where I can score some copies of the old Golden Road zine? Also, a friend of mine used to have this sweet hologram GD watch, I think it was the hat-tipping skeleton with the cane. I've been looking for one of these for my bro forever (he lost his) but no dice. Anyone? Oh, and hey PhilZone - copies of the oop Fillmore 69 box go for around 300 on eBay (with the bonus disc), if that suits yr wallet a little finer than 800-1000 (what scammer's been quoting you those prices??).........

I am sorry for asking this as I am sure it has been well covered, but I need to know what the best music management software is... I have about 800 live Dead/JGB CDs and about 4000 hours of tapes that I am going to start ripping/saving as wav files, but I am not sure what program is the best one to use to label everything by show, year, date, etc. I am not doing store bought stuff, just lust live recordings. I would like to buy a huge external HD to hold all of this stuff (or two or three), but would love to have a way to easily access the shows/songs. I realize I will have to do a lot of leg, er finger, work to rename the songs, dates, etc., and I am fine with that as I plan to do this over a year or so. Anyone have a suggestion?

because it was yet another solicitation to make an illegal copy of a commercial release by someone who apparently thought the post above did not apply to him. It does. Again, do not offer or solicit copies of commercial releases here. Such solicitations are unacceptable here and will be removed. Thank you.

As an artist I appreciate this. thank you. The dead community has plenty of "free" content out there in the form of tapes. There is a lot of work that goes into commercial release's and all involved deserve to get compensated for their work. It is in the fans interest so these release's keep coming. pk

I agree that solicitation here is not helpful, especially since TPTB are being so cool about all the vining of as yet unreleased material that goes on here (thanks to representations on our behalf by kind people in a position of influence) On the other hand (and as discussed in other forums) TPTB would be doing themselves and many other folks a big favour if they would issue a download only version of the Fillmore 69 shows. That way the collectors maintain the value of their precious unopened original numbered sets and more people get to hear the amazing music inside the box. The alternative is that the demand for illegal copies of the set will continue.

I dig the album cover artwork on Anthem, and want to make either a big poster, a t-shirt, or both with it on it. I've searched high and low for one, but haven't been successful. I scanned my LP cover, but the colors and scanlines don't match up for some reason. Does anyone have one or a link to a high resolution image file I can download?

I was with my girlfriend, now wife of 34 years, and we would love to get an original poster, like the one displayed on Wolfgang's Vault: http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/dt/grateful-dead-poster/GPR730728-PO.html Does anyone know of where I can get one? Even a reprint would work. Thanks in advance.

Greetings!! Years ago, my wife was at a show at Deer Creek in Indy & saw a shirt that was a stack of melting ice cream scoops on a cone. This would have been spring tour '92-ish. It was most likely NOT an official product, more like a parking lot item. Any help in this would allow me to fulfill a years long quest to find my love her shirt. Thanks Monkey.

I found the website of Steve Jerman, who appears to have created the Angel Moroni t-shirt in 1983. He has a picture of Phil onstage wearing one (from reading his website it appears that Mr. Jerman is not Mormon, either!). I've seen kid-sized t-shirts with a dancing bear whacking a melting ice cream cone into the side of its head, a la the ice cream kid, but I'm guessing this isn't what monkeyboy is looking for?

It was about 45 minutes of just Dark Star. The guy who had it, I have not been in touch with for over ten years so i have no way to ask him. I would really like to find this disc, as it was this disc that really turned me on to the Dead.
