Update and list change

Howdy! I've been in contact with our pal LIG71 in France. He is OK with just the Matrix DVD (we've been unable to get a response from the last known holder of the original European branch of the Matrix vine) so I have mailed him a copy of just the Matrix DVD along with another vine I was sending him. Bottom line: the Matrix vine is still here and will avoid the 3 week or so delay involved in transatlantic crossings. Therefore I will magically disappear LIG71 from the list, watch! 21. Got the vines, hurt my back

Hi, The Enter the Matrix vine arrived today (with the 1st anniversary vine), strained my back hauling it out of the mailbox. It hurts, but it's a good kind of hurt. I'm going to have to discuss sending this to LIG71 in France with the senior viners before sending it out - reference my post in Technical Discussions. I'll keep y'all posted. Wait until you hear the 2nd set of Eugene '78: I get goose bumps listening to the Other One > Close Encounters > St Stephen sequence. My recording of the beginning of the 2nd set is an audience source; whereas the rest is soundboard, echoing Cosmicbadger's description. So many roads to ease my soul...Ease my soul!!

To echo Cosmicbadger and Gr8fulTed, the beginning of the 2d set of my copy of 1/22/78 is also an AUD. Both the Taping Compendium and deadlists.com list that portion as circulating on AUD only. Whether the Vault has the complete show on SBD is an interesting question. The fact that the beginning of the 2d set is not a SBD should not deter anyone from acquiring this great show.

Eight days on the road

Eight days to cross the ocean and the better part of the North American continent seems like a remarkable task. The Matrix disc arrived safe and sound on June 12, 2008. I have deflacked it into 12 WAV cd's. Some are as short as 20 minutes some fill the 80 minute disc. I just burnt them in the order that the person who built the martix left them. I then printed out the notes that each shows taper provided (including any art work). The whole lot (original data DVD, cd's and papers) went into a mailing package and are now safely in the hands of the USPS. They will be delivered to dstache some time in the middle of next week. Peace every one, only one more week of spring -- good vibes out to the mid-westerners among us. Rick

The Matrix is moving down east. I think the mailer has a patchouli fragrance?Enjoy! The dvd contains all the flacs as well as setlist documentation. Expanded files are on cd's but note the comment above about the Quality Assurance department. (I do QA logistics as a part of my day job!) If you copy cd's rather than decode flacs, and are puzzled, I'll be glad to assist telephonically or via internet. Thanks to Cosmicbadger for the chance to have these tunes. I'll be in northern Minnesota for a week but will check-in periodically....
