not sure where to post this, could you help? thanks
Copied the below text from "Couple observations from last night" cause I would like to see the scene clean-up a bit. I sure do miss seeing the old guard around at shows. Hey I miss Jerry bout as much as anyone, but if you're alive check Furthur because they are bringing the real deal around and around, for only so long, this time. What do other Deadheads think about helping the scene be better. Are Bobby/ Phil helping the Shakedown scene happen well? Perhaps I should ask an insider, I think there's one here . . . Happy New Year! 2012. What a ripping show last night. Only Jerry's live presence could have made it better. Not to say JK isn't tearing it up, cause he is bringing the heat. The whole band is tight, in a good way. Wifey and I wondering why there aren't more pictures of Russo? I, like many Deadheads (only title I've excepted, post Garcia's passing) wonder at Mickey and Bills absence. If it's a financial decision, I am appalled. That said, Russo is excellent. I can not say one is better than another. Even JK and Jerry, sure do miss Jerry's voice and playing; if I could never hear him again and he was sitting next to me listening to Furthur that would be better than how it is. However, w/ JK all I can hope is that he plays as much, or more , than Jerry, Loves life, a bit cleaner, and rocks on and on; love that his own sound and arrangements are coming through and hoping Bobby/ Phil can support him in leading the band. Certainly Bobby/ Phil will always garnish due respect; but come-on, lead guitar drives the bus; even though everyone, even me, lead the band sometimes. It is how it is and I am loving it. Listened to a Phish show from a good friend who's never taken them in, then a week ago they came home for him. http://operationwasabi.com/nospoilers/ph2011-12-28-set1-ns.mp3 Just heard the Decemberists' version of Row Jimmy, excellent. The miracles and life lessons I've received from my years touring, taping, cooking, selling trinkets, and cleaning up, just awesome. Love, Truth, abundant. Last people in CalExpo lot, cops driving by w/ lights flashing, no sirens, me ripping djembe, girl listening, it was an excellent night, Gloria not the highlight but best version I'd heard. Lone dude crosses the lot to only other car. Shortly there-after my elbow was dripping, it's confirmed, I am home. A few days later at Laguna Seca there's Pepper fixing some dude's car, dash torn apart shoulder deep in helping another go on down the road, couple hours before LSD start time (that's Laguna Seca Days) That's what's missing from the Furthur scene: family. We've received criticism from folks for having our children at the shows . . . I am seriously sorry folks missed the scene "back in the day," but it's simple, LOVE/ TRUTH. So what's with the hating? Phish rips, you don't like em don't listen, maybe one day you'll like them, maybe not. If I know one thing in this life: keep an open mind, make no decision before it's time. No Time to Hate. Be Here Now. At the Merch. table inside they hand out little advertisement/ setlist stiffys. It's not my gig, mostly cause if the music is on I'm gigging. I've loved tracking the setlists and often have notes of jams not caught in other lists, but, while I'm writing I'm missing something, sometimes that's OK. Kind of like a camera, a little separated from the experience while I'm trying to frame and capture it, best done for me in moving meditation. Last night ripped! So looking forward to re-cast in an hour. I love that people are willing to put opinions out, hash it out a bit, contemplate. Nice to have a forum, other than AA/ NA where folks communicate without interruption. Although the Dead shows of yore there were multiplicities of verbal and non that were w/o interruption. I could walk through entire shows, and I'm saying all over, w/o bumping another but lightly, respectfully and with notice, care, and communication. Bringing the vibe to Furthur: remove the Crack, H, Nitrous, X; propensities. Bring back the LOVE/ TRUTH. Quick shout out to John Dwork and hARRY hAHN. LOVE YOU GUYS! Time Is A Stripper Doing It Just For You. Don't miss it Hating.

I went to a Dead show in Atlanta, Ga sometime between 1969 & 1970 at a venue called The Sports Arena. There was a problem with the Dead's equipment & the Allman Bothers drove up from Macon & let them use theirs. Most of the show was Them with various members of the Allmans. Killer show as I remember & would love to find a tape of the show. I have lots to trade with anyone. George

I uploaded some photos of the May 11, 1979 show at the Billerica Forum (MA) a couple of years ago, but now I don't see them. Has something changed (a setting perhaps) or were they taken down? Thanks, Ken

I apologize if this is not the correct forum but I am really disappointed in the customer service. I ordered two sets of Spring 1990 (one set as a gift for my best friend) and have nine pages of notes from phone calls and emails. Every time I contact the customer service I get a different answer! This has been going on for more than one month. I am ready to waive the white flag and give up. Do you have any suggestions? thank you Michael Johnston

Can anyone help me find any film footage taken at the Furthur Festival in Toronto July 9, 1997. This show was moderated by Arlo Guthrie. In particular, there was a film booth at the festival in which people could record themselves and their impressions of the show. Any suggestions are most welcome. Kind regards

What's going on with the store and the Road Trips links? None of the ones that say Add to Cart or Buy Now go anywhere when you click. Has the store not been completely switched over yet? I notice that a lot of things are missing... Just curious as I was looking to round off my RT set. Thanks!

Curious to know if there's going to be a bit more of the Road Trips sets as well. Not sure if they're actually all sold out or if it's a 'not completely restocked store' issue.

Hello,I'm working on a new live music project called, "Deadhead Download". Is the word "Deadhead" trademarked by you guys? If so, how much do I have to pay you to use the term at a concert where I'll get paid 20 bucks and have 50 bucks of expenses? Also... How much do I have to pay to use/license the "Steal your face" logo? I am talking about commercial use, but probably will be making less than 50 bucks over the lifetime of the project...

Anyone know when the fully stocked store is going to be up and running. Christmas is approaching. I'd love to get some stuff before the Holidays, and have those who buy for me be able to get it as well. The JGAB dual release with the booklet comes to mind, the 7 Walkers stuff, etc. Additionally, do we know anything about the scope of the new store? I'm certainly hoping more than is there now. But more Dicks? More Jerry? Saw a post that said mid-October was the goal, was/is that still accurate?

Hi, I have the 3 releases of Dave's Picks. They have not been indexed properly so you cannot see track title and other info when playing in cd players. I have tested in an older Sony player and also on my Oppo 95 and both are blank. Computer playback may be displaying the info but thats not how I play cd's. Will the new releases finally have proper indexing? thank you

but I cannot think of a single CD I own that displays title (as contrasted to track) information when playing on a CD player, so I'm not sure any such standard exists.

Really, many of mine have that.. it displays on my tv. For example I just put in Frank Zappa Hot Rats. it displays: Disc Artist: Frank Zappa Disc Title: Hot Rats Track Title: Peaches En Regalia Track Type: CDDA Channel Type: Stereo 44.1k 16b this is very common but yes not all discs have it but since these are new releases I would think it would have been done since it is simple to do.

I'd really appreciate some info on the store. I'd really like to support the site and all, but if there is no update soon, I'm reluctantly going to have to go to Amazon or some such to see if I can locate some stuff I'd like to get that was readily available on the old site but now is not. Have to buy it, get it shipped, and then ship it out. Need a month's leeway at least. Even if the response is:" I have no idea when the new store will be up and fully running." Or even: "What you see is what you get with the new store. These titles are the extent of it." I could just go head with a clear conscience. Peace, Jason.

Im trying to shop the store and all I get on there is the Almanac. Also it looks like some of the RT are gone? Will they be replaced? I remember getting an email for some a couple months back saying less teh 500 left and I bought those. Why wasnt an email sent out about the other ones and low quantities. Im not trying to gripe but they are $100 on Amazon

Really? If true, what a shame. It seems like just a few months ago the dead.net store had an awesome, shortly announced one-day sale going on where you got free shipping on top of a 20% discount and they were all available. Road Trips, in my opinion, had some great selections over a wide period and great packaging with the least amount of miscues in all aspects associated with it. Maybe that is why some of them sold out. $100 on Amazon seems more than a little stiff. Hope everybody gets what they want for Christmas!!!

I downloaded Google Chrome and still can not download the track. Why does it seem that everything associated with Dead.net is a test of endurance? Here's to hoping that I can eventually get these tracks from someone who is a computer whiz and able to deal with the intricacies of navigating the infinite possibilities of programs to download the music. I can't post on the downloads page because I don't have a Twitter or Facebook account and don't want one. Who is designing the Dead.net site? A group of sadistic computer nerds? Did anyone there ever hear the expression "user friendly"?

hmm... maybe you're right, but that's not what the rules say. nothin' in there about being first. "Guess the venue and date correctly and you'll be automatically entered to win the prize of the day. Each day a winner will be selected at random, so take your time and make your best guess! Answer correctly, and you will also be automatically entered for our Grand Prize - a copy of the SOLD OUT Spring 1990 box set."

...and all that time I thought I was first 2 years ago when I won. That's great then, better chances for everyone. If I can remember right, I had to contact them to find out what to do after my name was announced as the winner. Par for the course here at Dead.net...hahaha. The prize was the 1969 Big Rock Pow Wow Road Trips.

How tech inclined are you? Do you know your way around a computer? How many computers do you have? Do you have a buddy whose computer you can try? I was having trouble at first until I downloaded Firefox. About the third day they fixed the problem so IE works now. Make sure everything's updated. I have to admit, this website works better in Firefox.

So, I'm trying to buy my Dave's Picks 2012 Subscription, and on the site, when it lists your cart, it says there is Dave's Picks free shipping, and -$11.95 is subtracted from your order total. But then, when you actually go to checkout, your $11.95 reappears on your bill. Watch it folks, it looks like free shipping, but it isn't. EDIT: I went back a second time, and now it is working properly and giving the discount. Never mind.
