    Possible xtras for Chi-Town...
I mail ordered a pair for Chicago and am hopeful that I'll get them. In an effort to hedge my luck, I was able to grab a pair from the evil Ticketmaster when tickets hit the street. If GDTSTOO comes through, I will be left with an xtra pair that I will happily lay on someone for face value. They will be of the cheap(?) $50.00 variety and as soon as I know for sure, we can pursue a path of easy transaction. If interested, PM me. see y'all out there, DooDahh His job is to shed light, not to master...

    Well it's about time
Well it's about time Congressman asks for investigation of Ticketmaster, TicketsNow over Springsteen By George Gombossy on February 3, 2009 2:44 PM | Permalink | Comments (0) PASCRELL SEEKS INVESTIGATION INTO TICKETMASTER BUSINESS PRACTICE WITH SUBSIDIARY, TICKETNOW Press release: WASHINGTON-- U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-08) today requested that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division investigate Ticketmaster's relationship with its subsidiary company, TicketsNow, following the company's handling of ticket sales for the Bruce Springsteen tour that became available on Monday February 2. Dear Chairman Kovacic: I am writing today to direct your attention to a potential conflict of interest regarding Ticketmaster and its affiliate company, TicketsNow. This issue has been brought to my attention through constituent complaints and press reports regarding the online sale of Bruce Springsteen concerts tickets at the IZOD Center in New Jersey and other locations all across the country. As you know, Ticketmaster is a large ticket sales and distribution company that often serves as a venue's sole ticketing agent. A large percentage of their sales are made online through Ticketmaster.com. In a recent effort expand its business Ticketmaster acquired TicketsNow, a website which specializes in the secondary, resale market for tickets. When tickets for Bruce Springsteen's new tour went on sale exclusively through Ticketmaster at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2009, scores of fans in New Jersey were met with technical difficulty on Ticketmaster.com that impaired them from making a purchase. Thousands of others who were fortunate enough to get beyond the technical problems were informed that the shows were sold out. Conspicuously placed on the same screen that informed fans of ticket unavailability was an alternative purchasing option from TicketsNow.com. It offered the same tickets at a value marked up hundreds of dollars beyond their original face value. I am troubled by how quickly tickets priced exponentially higher became available on the secondary market to thousands of rejected fans, many who also endured unfortunate technical problems on Ticketmaster.com. I am concerned that the business affiliation between Ticketmaster and TicketsNow may represent a conflict of interest that is detrimental to the average fan. There is a significant potential for abuse when one company is able to monopolize the primary market for a product and also directly manipulate, and profit from, the secondary market. Additionally, the speed with which tickets were made available on Ticketmaster's official resale affiliate site raises questions about whether TicketsNow brokers were given preferential treatment instead of competing on a level playing field with average consumers to purchase the tickets. With so many families struggling in this economy, I am outraged by how expensive tickets to ball games, concerts and other shows have become. I understand the economic principles that have driven up the cost of entertainment, but will not tolerate unjust business practices that put regular Americans at a disadvantage. I respectfully request that your office investigate the relationship between Ticketmaster and TicketsNow to ensure that the procedure for purchasing tickets remains fair to the average consumer. If you require any additional information or have any questions, please contact Arthur Mandel on my staff at (202) 225-5751. I look forward to the favor of your reply. Sincerely, Bill Pascrell, Jr. Member of Congress

Hello My wedding anniversary is October 6th. I recently purchased tickets to what I thought was the show on the 6th but it was for the 4th. Does anyone know someone who wants Dark Start Orchestra tickets at the Fillmore for this Thursday. I will take money or a trade for Saturday night. This will be my first time seeing DSO and my 1 year anniversary so it is very important that I go to this show. Anyone please help. I am in desperate need. I am living in the OC, Cali but have the tickets online, so you can reprint them. Please help, thanks. Ron

I have tickets to Phil Lesh on Friday, November 1st and Saturday, November 7th at the Nokia Theatre in NYC. The problem is that I have no one to join me. None of my friends are into the Dead that much and would likely not appreciate the show the way a dead head would. While, I think I might have someone for one of the tickets, I am putting out feelers to see if anyone would be interested in joining me for one (perhaps two) of the shows. Please email me if anyone is interested and I will figure something out. I am not even asking for much. Perhaps a few beers.

So I bought my friend a pair of tickets to the dead show at PSU... found out last night that he just got a new job so he doesn't think he'll be able to go now.. How lame is that? I'm not sure that I would miss this show for a job... Well Regardless, I have his pair now that I want to get rid of. Will consider trade offers for them... I live in Pittsburgh, so I'd like to meet someone around here if I could, but I'm sure we could work something out to meet day of at PSU. SECTION : 215 ROW : M SEATS : 103,104 I know they are high, but they are center stage... Anyways,,, let me know!

I have two extra pair of tickets for the Change Rocks concert at Penn State on October 13. Both are upper level, one on the side half-way down, and one opposite end, looking straight to the stage. Cost is $103.25 per pair (exactly what I paid). We can meet at the show, or if you want them in advance, we can do the PayPal/Fed-Ex thing, but you gotta pay for shipping. Contact me directly at robteb@rogers.com if interested, and we can work things out. Thanks.

The catch is, you need to be a Northwest Airlines WorldPerks member. You can spend miles for gift cards/certificates to the following... TicketsNow (a TicketBastard Co.) - 17,000 miles per $100 Marriott Hotels (and their holdings) - 45,000 miles for $250, 89,000 for $500 4 different levels of Hyatt hotel offers - miles vary Shell Gas - 9,000 miles per $50 There's also Starbucks coffee and several restaurants offered as well. So, theoretically, if you have enough miles built up (I only have 42k) you could literally pay for the entire thing, tix, hotel, gas & food! I know that this info will only help a few people, but if I help even one person have a great time, then it's worth it. interesting info, dad I'm gonna contemplate the options. but by the by, the tixNOW tix are usually more expensive than the usual tix master tix. thankx. I got about 250,000 NW miles in the bank these days!! AND I just got an extra 12,500 miles because I complained about the broken video system on a recent LONG flight. muchas gracias!
