This song will bring a tear to every eye who felt that time. I was sitting at the dinner table with my brother, mom dad, myself and my brother who was 4 years older than I. He declined to sign up for the draft. It was the times where every night the Nightly News listed all those names that came up on the draft lottery, no not the big spin lottery, the draft lottery. For weeks the dinner table was consumed with arguing, animosity, just, bad vibes, and hard feelings. Then one day as we were assembled for our nightly dinner, the usual hard feelings starting to simmer, we all look up and on the little black and white 9" screen, my brothers birthdate came up in the first round. Suddenly the room stood still. There was a subtle, yet vibrant, shock in the air. Mom cried, quietly. Dad sat silently, and I was so glad my brother was sitting here next to me. I was so proud. My brother sat there and, I will never forget, was so very confident he had made the right decision, he just sat there and watched the little world around him turn, to a different view. This was at a time when neighbors upon neighbors were dealing body bags and no hope. Month's after this the war was stopped. But in the meantime, The casualties were at a all time high at the same time the war was futile. Morning Dew. Listen and wonder, how would you act, what would you do.
