Good things come to those who wait! First, it took 30 years to produce this ultra-cool 2CD/DVD set from the Dead’s legendary September 1978 run at the Sound & Light Theater, outside Cairo, nestled in the dunes just a short mummy-walk from the Great Pyramid and the mysterious Sphinx. Then, Dead Heads had to endure the long, restless weeks between the announcement of the release and when they could actually order it. Well, ring them bells, because the wait is over! Dead.net is NOW accepting orders for this beautiful and historic package, Rocking the Cradle: Grateful Dead, Egypt 1978, which includes two exceptional music CDs and a DVD with over 95 minutes of concert footage from the Egypt shows (plus an impressionistic “Vacation Tapes” mini-documentary that shows the band and Dead family at play).

Much has been written about this storied adventure: About the band’s long-standing desire to play in “places of power,” as Phil put it years ago… The incredible logistical gymnastics necessary to get permission for this strangest of American rock bands to bring their peculiar alchemy to the cradle of the ancient world… The huge, scattered caravan of crazies that descended on Cairo from the U.S. and Europe, drawn to the desert by some irresistible force… The sheer magnitude of shipping in tons of sound equipment, setting up in 110-degree heat, maxing out the local power grid, trying to turn the King’s Chamber in the Great Pyramid into an echo chamber (alas, Osiris would have none of that!)… The wondrous interplay at each of the three concerts between Nubian drummers and singers and the Grateful Dead… The miraculous final show, during a total lunar eclipse… The synchronicity of that last show and the signing of a peace treaty between Egypt and Israel… Magical horse and camel rides under the desert moon…Trips up and down the Nile… High adventure at every turn!

The three Egypt concerts—September 14, 15, 16, 1978—were captured on a 24-track tape recorder with an eye towards putting out a live album to help defray the (considerable) cost of the expedition. When the Dead got home, however, they discovered that the tapes of all of the first night and part of the second were not useable because of technical problems. Then the band got wrapped up in finishing their Shakedown Street album (begun before the Egypt venture), and soon the notion of putting out the Egypt album lost its momentum. But just as Howard Carter and all those other explorers in the ’20s and ’30s couldn’t stay away from the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the Dead weren’t about to let those Egypt multitracks stay buried by the sands of time. Next thing you know there’s a phone call to ace GD mixer Jeffrey Norman and he and vaultkeeper David Lemieux discover that despite the problems with the first night’s tapes, there’s still lots of great material available from nights two and three, including: a dynamite “Shakedown Street” (just the second live version ever), “Truckin’,” an exquisite “Stella Blue,” “Eyes of the World,” fresh takes on then-new songs such as “Stagger Lee” and “I Need A Miracle,” and the hypnotic Egyptian tune called “Ollin Arageed” that features Hamza El Din and other percussionists, who are then joined by the Dead for a jam into “Fire on the Mountain.” Wow!

And the concert video, though rough around the edges in places, is quite a revelation as well. Not only does the DVD include many of the best tunes on the CDs—you’ll dig seeing Jerry do some pretty energetic thrashing here and there—it contains two songs not on disc—“Bertha” and “Good Lovin’.” The concert material has been mixed in both stereo and surround sound, with two listening options: DTS 5.1 and PCM Stereo. The beautifully designed booklet (with cover inspired by the late, great Alton Kelley’s Egypt 1978 tour poster) contains a revealing essay by longtime Ice Nine Publishing chief (and Egypt trip co-organizer) Alan Trist, and many rare photos. All that’s missing is sand, the smell of camels and some “hubbly-bubbly”!

So don’t delay! Order Rocking the Cradle: Grateful Dead, Egypt 1978 today by going Here.

Road Trips Vol. 1, No. 4 features Winterland ’78 “From Egypt With Love” shows!

It must be the Curse of the Pharaoh’s Tomb or something, because once we’d put together Rocking the Cradle: Grateful Dead, Egypt ’78, we couldn’t get Egypt out of our system. Suddenly it seemed only natural that the next Road Trips should be culled from the great five-night “From Egypt With Love” run the Dead played at Winterland a month after they returned from Cairo. Each night the band treated the hometown fans to an extensive slide show of their travels, and at two of the concerts, Hamza El Din joined the Dead for versions of “Ollin Arageed” that helped summon even more of the flavor of Egypt. Harmonica ace Lee Oskar (of War) showed up a couple of nights, and at the final show, John Cipollina added his distinctive guitar to the back half of the second set. The two-CD Road Trips set is drawn from the final two shows of the series, October 11 and 22, 1978. Get complete order information Here.

thinking hard about it,but want more
I am wondering about the video quality of the DVD.I am hoping that someone gets the idea to put out a show in blue-ray and use DTS audio.I thought the ones making descision would embrace these new technologies.Whats up.I am patiently wating for this, I own every video release so far, but I wan't more. The release of American Buity and Working Mans Dead in DVD audio was a sign that things would go to the next level. What are you waiting for.Try supper audio CD too.Come on, Tech heads are wating.Regards from the Baltimore scene.

    again with the "debate"
Get used to disappointment, folks. If the RTs sell enough to make Rhino some $ they will continue to be issued. If gigantic expensive boxed sets of complete runs like WInterland 73 sell enough to make Rhino some $ they will continue to be issued (how many runs would be worth it both musically and fiscally, though? For me, not that many). Presumably they will soon try issuing some single complete shows, and if those make them some $ they'll keep doing that too. Nobody is forcing anybody to buy shit they don't want. If you are a hard-core complete-shows-only-and-no-mp3s-allowed partisan, then just wait until they offer something that fits your criteria. What I don't get is why people think it's useful or worthwhile to bitch and moan about releases that don't fit their personal criteria--many of us are just not so picky. Deal with it. Note that I am not advocating that people shut up or be censored or that the right to free speech be trampled here on dead.net. I'm just saying that complainers are wasting their time, and a little bit of mine too. Rhino bought the Vault as an investment. They will release stuff that will make them money. Period! They have no reason or responsibility to care what your personal desires are unless those desires are shared by enough people to cut into their profits. My guess is that the RTs are produced with relatively low overhead and sell pretty well, and that therefore they will not disappear just because you, personally, disapprove. *shrug* That's American Reality. As for the boyz, do you seriously think that any of the band cares even a little bit about the issue of complete shows vs. compilations being released? Do you really think that those guys care as much as you do about the putative sacredness of Complete Shows? Please. Phil himself put together a compilation (I refer to the Fallout CD). Good stuff for all is coming down the line. Rhino will be milking us for the long haul. Hang in and we will all be very happy over time. Why interfere with the happiness of your brothers and sisters by insisting on your way or the highway (see what I did there with the roadtrips reference?)? That's what I don't understand. but it's time for my bootheels to be wanderin'

Nice work - great to see that it all works now. The "Egypt" part of the site was something I had not investigated before. Highly recommended viewing. I hope it wasn't too much work to get it back working. Even if it was, it is now done and will be appreciated, hopefully by many. A big "thank you" for your efforts.

What can I say. I would get even madder if I lived in Vancouver and it took 30 days to recieve a package from California ... I just recieved my mail today but still no package with my ordered records ... and today it's 20 days since it was shipped ... hope this one will not be worse than Road Trips 1 ... :-( SPACEBROTHER: I think the Laguna Seca 7-29 is one of the perhaps two shows from 1988 that I've actually heard ... but I'll take ANY 1977-show over any 1979-, 1982-, 1983-, 1984-, 1985-, 1986-, 1987-, 1988-, 1991-, 1992-, 1993- or 1994-show. Also over any 1995-show except perhaps the last run, but that's only for sentimental reasons ... Micke Östlund, Växjö, Sweden ------------------------------ My record collection: jazzmicke

Just received the set Saturday (the 11th). DVD is sweet, but the vacation tapes is the highlight IMHO. Anyway, did anyone notice the blue rose in the songlist section of the DVD? Looks like the same one from the Closing of Winterland DVD where they called them hidden "eggs" and it had some extra photos and interviews? I forget what to press to open that up? I could be wrong, of course, but maybe the codes are the same. Thoughts anyone? Thanks in advance... "May the four winds blow you safely home" -Robert Hunter Lanceybro

.. Hey!! I just found a "hidden" easter egg. If you put in CD 2, go to Track 10 then hit eject just as you hear the first ragged notes of IKO, then put in a CD of Uptown Theatre, Chicago 11-18-78, you'll hear an amazing: Scarlet Begonias [11:35] > Fire On The Mountain [7:05] ; I Need A Miracle [7:52] > He's Gone [11:09] > The Other One [13:29] Then you'll NEVER have to listen to Egypt AGAIN. ..

I know, I know this forum is slowly turning into The Wailing Wall...but 21 days are a long time... I ordered the Cradle/ roadtrips1.4 package when it was summer and scorching hot...autumn set in leaves are falling... and here i am still waiting.. something should be done for those who order from the other side of the ocean..it would be more fun to share emotions all together, waiting too much spoils the fun.... = [

Mine arrived today. Customs charges to pay, but still cheaper than going through the UK Dead merchandise stockist. Had a brief look at the DVD, the mix is fantastic - very full sound in DTS, drums rumbling around the surrounds. Just started listening to the Road Trips set, and the sound is excellent. Nice package all in all. Oh, and no signs of glue on my discs.

I pre-order with two days of the announcement. I got my email saying the order was shipped, three weeks later, i am still waiting in Houston, TX. How much i did i pay for shipping anyway, i am not sure, but it was too much. This is really pathetic. If they need more money for the disc's they should charge more and not try to make money with expensive shipping costs and then this LOUSY service.

Finally, I received my package (I live in Argentina, so 15-20 days wait it´s perfect). Of course, I´m still going through the material. First complaint: the packaging. I suffered the "glue on CD" syndrome, unfortunately. And, in addition, those bleeding "cd-scratcher" carboard sleeves again. Nice design, nice fold-out pyramid and Sphynx, but: why not use digipaks, for God´s sake??!!! Regarding the Road Trips´ packaging, I understand the lack of plastic, for they are using recycled "Earth friendly" paper, and I think that´s great. But "Egypt 78" is not the case: it features glossy "Earth unfriendly" paper (so to speak)!Anyway, the important thing, after all, is music. And I have to go through it. I listened to disc 2 of "Egypt 78" and I REALLY liked it (a pity they edited the "Drums->Space" section) Extrordinary sound quality! Mr.Norman did it again. I also listened to the Bonus Disc and I found that the version of "Terrapin Station" is terrible! The band seems awfully akward with it! Anyway, we know Dead live records follow the "warts and all" philosophy. And, by the way, I´d rather listen to Dead´s mistakes than some other band´s best moments. Well, that´s all by now. I´m not a big fan of 1978 concerts, but I hope to find some fine music on Road Trips 4 and the parts of "Egypt 1978" that still wait to be listened. Summing up:Disc 2 of the Egypt set is REALLY fine. Packaging is not. Anyway, let there be songs to fill the air. PS: Wasn´t the electric piano supposedly out of tune? I can´t realize, actually.

Is Argentina closer to the USA than Bermuda? I haven't even received a sjhipping notice for my order, placed August 20th, let alone received the goods. Happy Trails

Yeah - I'm also in Vancouver and still waiting for mine. Got the shipping notice on Sept. 23. It seems pretty random how they're arriving - some are showing up in Argentina, but people in the US are still waiting... Anyway, I submitted something on the store's customer service page, so we'll see if that moves things along. Right now I'm not finding the wait to intolerable, I've got a whole pile of great music to dig through these days.

Ok my package finally arrived yesterday. I am on the east coast in the US and I received my shipping email on Oct 3rd. Anyone else on the East coast can use that as a barometer as to how long it could take to get to you. The Good I was lucky that I did not have any glue on any of the discs, my package also arrived with a booklet. The Bad The packaging arrived with the cd spine creased and bent and the sleeve that the sphinx is on (the one with the booklet) will not even open. part of it is glued way too much and the other part is not glued at all. If i try to open up the entire package and lay it flat the popups of the sphinx and other items on that side will rip along with the flap. I guess i should consider myself lucky that the glue issue only effected the packaging and not the music.

Mary, I received a shipping notice for 65860 to Bermuda yesterday 15 Oct. I already had the shipping notice for 71717 to the USA on 23 Sept. That one arrived in Maryland a week later on 30 Sept. Still no news on 65868 to Oz. Nor, for that matter, on 77398, a Golden Road box to the same Oz address. Thanks, I really appreciate your help. Happy Trails

Wow - this is a blast from the past! My friend Eugene and I got an interview with Phil Lesh for our high school newspaper in Cairo (Cairo American College) and then later we were at the pyramids for a press conference with Jerry Garcia and Mickey Hart - what a trip! I went back and forth on ordering this set and am now glad I didn't. I have had tapes of the shows for years and knew they were less than amazing, but I really liked the Olin-Fire and am always up for new DVD's of the boys. Right before I got ready to order they put up the sample of the DVD with Bertha. It sounded horrible. Sloppy and disjointed. Because of that I decided to pass and now hearing all the problems with the packaging and such I'm glad I avoided ordering it. I'm sure I will eventually buy it, but at a store where I can at least somewhat see what I am getting. I will also throw my two cents in and say that other than video I will never buy a CD that is not a complete show. Seems kinda pointless to me.

YES I AM!!! A LOT ... Contacted the customer service and asked for a tracking number for my package, which I got within 24 hours ... so far so good ... but when I contacted the Swedish Postal Service, they told me that the package haven't been delievered to USPS, only a notification that it should BE. So I have been waiting since September 24th for a package that isn't registered as being recieved by USPS ... and therefore have never been shipped ... SHAME ON YOU DEADSTORE ... I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED ... AND YOU SHOULD BE GLAD YOU'RE NOT WITHIN PSYSICAL REACH ... Micke Östlund, Växjö, Sweden ------------------------------ My record collection: jazzmicke

Mine arrived in the UK 10/18. Well within the stated delivery window for overseas delivery. Love the Egypt packaging if it was a vinyl packaging would be amazing at that size. Oh yes and the music is great. Thanks to all.

As has been said from time to time, we have no control over it once it's in the postal system. That said, Deadmike, I agree with you that something doesn't sound right if it's never gotten into the postal system and I'm passing this along right now. Since you have a tracking number, you might want to go to usps.gov and see if you learn anything by tracking your package from there, just in case they know something the Swedish post office doesn't. But in the meantime I'm launching inquiries.

Both myself and the Swedish post office have tried to track the package through the homepage of USPS and the answer is: "Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on September 24, 2008 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later." I don't understand the message but the Swedish postal office says it means, the package have never been sent. I have mailed customer service about the matter, leaving out that angry part of physical reach, of course, especially since I seldom get physical ... but sometimes get so frustrated, I feel I could actually get just that ... :-/ Thank you marye, for your concern. All these bad issues would never have happened back in the days when the store was being handled by people more of your kind. Thank You! PS! I was angry enough though when I wrote the customer service, to tell them I felt mad and I certainly hope they will make sure both bonus discs will be included in my package WHENEVER it will be sent ... I don't ask for more than that ... but in the old days, if something went wrong with a package, the DeadStore would compensate any problems by including a sticker or a something ... but from those guys who now handle everything, I'm glad if I actually get what I have ordered ... I found two letters from Grateful Dead customer support in my mail when checking it right now. The first was this one: "Date Of Response: 10/20/2008 Title: Missing Item/Items Response: After speaking with our warehouse manager I have confirmation this should have shipped. We are replacing this order as we have no other way to monitor progress on the order. You will still receive the bonus disks. I apologize that you have yet to receive this merchandise. I have arranged for this missing merchandise to be shipped out to you promptly. Please be aware that you will receive an email shortly which states that you owe a small amount in check form, please disregard that email, as this amount has been paid for by us. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Many thanks for your patience and understanding regarding this matter. Sincerely- Grateful Dead Customer Support" The second mail is the one mentioned in the above reply ... so I hope, my package is now on it's way ... but I still feel things were better back in the days ... Anyone in Australia received their package? I'm starting to worry - the last Rhino package I got (The Doors Live in Pittsburgh) didn't appear after three months and I had to have it resent. Normally Dead stuff arrives fairly quickly (1-3 weeks) so I'm only in a mild panic at this stage.

All of a sudden ... yesterday ... the untraceable package turned up ... mysteriously ... after three weeks of Hide & Seek from the Swedish Custom Authorities ... and this after I had been going after the wrong "crooks" ... (sorry Dead Store Customer Service) ... Because I cannot imagine the package I recieved yesterday is the one sent to me last Monday ... I had to pay an additional 21, 22 dollars in tax and custom charge ... I promise I will try to find out how come the package was invisible to both the Swedish Postal Service as well as the American one ... I feel a little ashamed, of course, now with a new package on its way to Sweden ... but I'm telling you this, because I want to be honest with everybody ... if the new package goes through the Custom Authorities without me having to pay another 20-25 dollars for it, I'm willing to return the goods unopened. Sorry about this mess ... but I feel I'm not to be blamed myself ... since I trusted both USPS as well as the Swedish Postal Service, not being wrong about the first package being missed ... okey?? I haven't listened to the CD's or watched the DVD yet ... because I'm not in the right mood, feeling a little down because of the happenings ... so I will get back on that matter when this sudden sadness have gone away ... After many years and many, many shows on CD, I find this one way short of expectations. Disk 1 is almost a complete loss, with the exception of a decent Row Jimmy and Deal. Disk 2 starts off great, and dies at Aiko. A fair Shakedown is all that is left. I haven't bothered with the bonus CD yet, I doubt it's any better. Continuing in the tradition of Dick's Picks #25, 1978 is pretty much a disappointment.

I remember the jumbotron with light-bulb sized pixels at the Meadowlands show in September of '78. First time I had ever seen a giant stadium TV...I thought it was pretty cool to see close-ups from far away as I was about halfway back and halfway up. I enjoyed the show even though it was a bit more of a tame scene then the previous year at Englishtown. At the end of the show, the message on the screen was for the trip to Egypt. "Wow! I thought..."sure would like to catch the Dead at the pyramids". Price on the screen was $2500. After carefully checking, I realized I had the $25...but not the hundred. Oh well...there were a few more shows stateside in the cards for me, but I always wondered what the trip to Egypt was like. Since then I've read some and heard a few stories. The release here is sure shedding a lot of light as to the hows and whys and such. I'm certainly glad to have these jams. I do remember the event happening with all of the peace initiatives and there were the Dead right in the middle of the world doing what they like to do. I am enjoying this release and digging on it a lot. I'm defenitely high on the Shake>Drumz right now! Wicked cool! I'm finally there in spirit in my own space and time and it's been a long time waiting to join in but now I can stay as long as I like. Thanks for the shadows and the songs...Peace! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Walk into splintered sunlight Inch your way through dead dreams to another land" Robert Hunter ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is the best sounding show I own beating out Rockin at the Rhein. Any good Sound System will do these CDs immense justice. The instruments are crystal clear and there are some strong vocals too. I really like the "Row Jimmy" which has a great ensemble sound as everyone seems to pitch in the jams, especially Bob Weir. "Shakedown Street" is also real strong as the band definitely gets loose. "Eyes of the World" has some shifty rhythms and some great playing by Jerry. The DVD is really amazing. Its all about set and setting and it's hard to top Egypt. Some high spirits were definitely abound at this show. Great to see... Outstanding!!! I have begun listening to the records (no glue problem) and so far this is my verdict: * Egypt 78 Bonus Disc: average (three stars out of five) * From Egypt With Love Bonus Disc: Very Nice! Great Estimated! (four stars) * Egypt 78, second disc: VERY, VERY NICE from Ollin Arageed to Space (close to five stars), but loses a bit for the rest of the record (a weak four stars). That's what I've been listening to so far and I haven't watched the DVD yet. Micke Östlund, Växjö, Sweden ------------------------------ My record collection: jazzmicke

I haven't heard any of RTv1n2 yet but I've heard all of the Egypt release. It's definitely a very specific mood and atmosphere and unlike any other Dead performances I have heard. Generally, the sound is beautiful. Really crisp and clear. It almost contradicts the lose, sometimes sloppy state of the music. DISC 1 * I really liked the Row Jimmy. The calypso thing is a lot of fun. * Looks Like Rain hasn't really done it for me yet, for all the hype. I'm starting to think that my favourite version is on the Winterland 73 boxset. * Deal is crazy, almost over the top. It's a really fun performance though and, in my opinion, about as far away from the typical end-of-set Deal performance one can find. DISC 2 * Ollin Arageed> Fire> Iko is, I guess, the centrepiece of the whole release. It's also very cruisey. It, as well as a lot of the release (esp. the bonus disc Eyes) gives me the impression that the Dead weren't so much trying to reach some astral point, rather that they were already there and enjoying themselves so much that they almost forgot about the songs and just let their minds drift (rather than explore). Anyway, this performance is very nice and quite a party; focused and precise it's not. * Shakedown> Drumz> Truckin> Stella Blue> Around is again very chilled. The chill factor works for Stella Blue but I think Truckin suffers, most noticeably when they miss the second beat re-entry after Jerry's run up the fretboard. It does pick up and become a pretty hot version by the end. I also really like the Shakedown - it's nothing like the song became but I can't imagine a version like this being played in a US show. BONUS DISC (which appears to have sold out already) * Bertha> Good Lovin - pretty average to my ears. The Good Lovin has some weird timing thing towards the end. I'm not sure if it was an intentional departure from the normal rhythm or just a mess up. Either way it doesn't work. * El Paso - nothing special for me. * Ramble On Rose - I found this to be the worst performance on the whole set. Jerry misses half the lyrics and the song never really peaks. * Estimaed> Eyes - this might be my favourite part of the whole release. A 1970s Estimated in multi-track is special in itself and the whole song has a strange, unreal vibe to it. I'm a bit of a sucker for Estimateds but this one just winds it way through weirdness. The Eyes is unlike any other Eyes I've heard - it's slow but just perfect for the setting. One of my favourite versions (possibly because of how unique it is). * Terrapin> Sugar Magnolia - the Terrapin sounds great (as does the whole release) but they don't come close to nailing the performance. I like the transition - I would have much preferred to have had the Drumz portion on the bonus disc actually, rather than the Bertha> Good Lovin, El Paso and Ramble On Rose. Sugar Magnolia is funny - Weir and Donna are obviously enjoying themselves - a real lot. DVD I agree with what has been said before. Any footage of the band playing in Egypt is worth a look and luckily some of it is worth and second (and third, fourth, etc) look. * I prefer the Bertha> Good Lovin when I can see the band. * It's great seeing Ollin Arageed. Sadly the Fire stops at the final jam. I guess there wasn't footage of the rest of the song? I don't believe they would skip half of Fire in favour of something else. Actually, it's already been mentioned, but any feedback we could get about the DVD material (i.e. what was available, what wasn't, how the tracks were selected) would be great. My only other feedback re: this release is that I don't understand why tracks are placed out of order. I think it's one thing to skip songs (like has been done on previous Dick's Picks releases) but it seems a bit strange to re-arrange tracks. If you're going to have seven out of ten songs from the first set on the one cd, along with a few tracks from the previous night, why not put the tracks in order, the missing songs notwithstanding, rather than putting track 5 in second position, track 2 in fourth position, etc. It just seems a bit arbitrary. Anyway, this release is good fun. It's not a classic but I don't think that should surprise anyone. It's definitely a time capsule and it's amazing to think these shows even took place. The band members were obviously out of their crusts for a lot of the trip and it shows in the music. It's incredibly lose, but it's also really unique. I think some of the performances don't deserve to be released (Ramble On Rose comes to mind) but there is some really good, one-of-a-kind stuff on this release. Give it a go. Unfortunately, the bonus disc contains some of the best (and worst) stuff and seems to be unavailable.

Only a few first set songs but they appear in order. I guess it's no big deal when one disc consists of excerpts from multiple shows (e.g. the bonus discs or the first two Road Trips releases) but it doesn't really make sense (to me anyway) to do it when one disc is completely or mainly from one show. PS. I referred to RTv1n2, when I of course meant RTv1n4.

Yeah - my Egypt/RTv1n4 has Frankfurt postage marks on it. No wonder these things take a while. Last year a birthday card sent to my dad went from a place fourty minutes drive away from my parents' place (i.e. on the outskirts of Sydney, AUS) to Japan, then back to Sydney and to my parents' place. It be quicker if they just had a guy with a sack on a donkey delivering mail.

I really like this release but also am TERRIBLY disappointed that the Ollin Arageed on the second disc is so short, why not provide a full length version, or at least more than the 6 mins provided? Obviously it would've been cooler to provide a full length concert but the two discs + DVD are smokin'. cheers.

I have not received a shipping notice on my Australian order yet. I visited the friends for whom I bought it last weekend and it had certainly not arrived. It is frustrating, especially if the bonus disc is no longer available. That one was Order Number: 0065868, Order Date And Time: 08/20/2008. Hopefully my own copy will be waiting for me when I get back home, it shipped on 10/15 on an order placed on 8/20. The other copy I ordered on 8/20, for a USA recipient, shipped on 9/23. It really is bizzarre how three orders placed the same day get such wildly varied treatment. I suspect I must be dealing with Grateful Dead, not Rhino. Happy Trails
