My 20th show !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy number twenty. I love Hampton. Thank you Heath and the RX.
Gotta love this venue!
Night 2 at Hampton was really strong. Bruce seemed to really connect with Bobby and Phil all night. Though Jerry didn't command a lot of songs this evening, his choices were great. FOTD is probably the best of the 92 Spring tour. There is no point in ever arguing with Speedway>Truckin' to open a set. Ever. Thank you Grateful Dead. Your'e weren't the best at what you did, you were the only ones that did it.
First and last
This was my first show, what a venue, what a show, what a night. Never would have guessed that it could be the last time, for Hampton.
Dancing Pineapple
Jerry was pretty pale and kind of out of it, which I could see as my friends and I had gotten down to about the 4th row on the GA floor. At some point in the night, this guy in the first row right in front of him pulled a pineapple out of his drawstring pants. Honestly, I wasn't hallucinating-it was a whole pineapple, and he proceeded to hold it above his head and dance around. Jerry was looking down at his guitar and playing, and then he looked up, saw the pineapple, kind of frowned and shook his head, and then looked back down and resumed playing. It was pretty funny.
My twenty-fifth birthday SHOW!!!
I really like to think they played the "happy birthday" for me, I had a few friends who knew some folks in the band and... well even if it wasn't for me specifically, pretty much my coolest dead moment ever!!! okay there were many others... I atually thought I was the only person to hear it....
hometown
OK I didn't actually go in but I still think of it as my "first" show.... I grew up near there and went to the lot w/ friends for fun... ended up changing my life... i finally figured out why people kept calling me a hippy!
peace and love all ways,
janflora
My first show and it was
My first show and it was unbelievable, it was everything that I had dreamed of a show being. Everything I had been told about shows came true that night. Even the lead up to the show was exciting. My friends and I went to the coliseum the weekend before to wait for tickets to go on sale and that was a party too. The show was great, had a blast and thought it was a perfect intiation for a life long Deadhead.

I had a copy of this show
I had a copy of this show but the quality wasn't great. I still think it is a smokin' second set and would love to get my hands on a good copy. Can anyone help???????
New Speedway
Jerry really ripped this one out, very hot!
Nothing to tell now, let the words be yours I am done with mine...
A solo gig
Drove up from grad school and did this one solo. Loved the Speedway Set II opener. I think the show is under rated.
