from gdhead77 for JGB Albany 2/13/80. Great show. Made the trekfrom Binghamton to Albany. Don't remember much as I was studying "Chemistry" as well, but I do remember a great Mission in the Rain. I also seem to recall something odd about the opening act, but I can't remember exactly. Anyone out there know what I am talking about? Seems like we were at a lot of the same shows, especially at Nassau and Radio City. We probably ran into each all the time. "Let there be songs to fill the air."

Been searching for 20+ years for SBDs of the following: Dead: 1/10/79 Nassau Coliseum (according to lemieux is not even in vault and I assume given to brent for practice) - my 1st show dark star, st. stephen... well now you know why I have been hard core for 30 yrs now! 10/12/84 Augusta - I have the circulating version with static throughout 1st set and aud for ujb and on in 2nd set. Anyone have full show SBD... one of the most killer dews ever. JGB: 2/13/80 Palace Theatre, Albany - night before organic chem test and lets just say I was certainly studying chem... An amazing performance and one that I have never seen circulate. I have an extensive list of SBDs so happy to trade. Thanks

The wall of sound era is amazing!!! Especially when Phil plugs that quadrophonic bass in and drops some of those sweet "Phil bombs". Jerry's soloing is also sublime and really mellow. He really drives the band to a different level, and they take that ride all the way through the decade (especially '77). And aren't Keith and Bobby the first rhythm devils??? :)

Might want to give 6/16/74 a spin. 3 set show, outdoor venue, Wall Of Sound, and some rather interesting excursions. If you're not up for all 3:58:21 of it, focus on the Eyes>Big River, Playin and then Truckin>Nobody's>Wharf>GDTRFB. Don't let the early tech glitches fool you, it all gets sorted out. You can find it here: http://www.archive.org/details/gd74-06-16.sbd.fink.17701.sbeok.shnf Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

The Grateful Dead Movie Soundtrack is also phenominal. 6 cd's. The best of the best. 1974 and the sound is awesome. Winterland at it's glorious splendor, a magic place you know. Don't go without this in your collection. It's is a bargain also, and mastered in glorious HDCD, which does make a difference. Crank it up and you will feel like you are there, and being there is better than anywhere,it's Winterland!

Hi Guys, New to the board. I was wondering if anyone is interested in a trade or B&P? I have only about 9 dead shows thus far and I am looking to aggressively expand my dead collection. I am looking for soundboard quality shows/essential dead shows + anything with die hard versions of sugaree, loser, and/or franklin's tower. I have dl'd torrents in the past, but now being on dial up has made that difficult... so I am looking for stuff in either shn. or flac. format. If anyone can hook me up I can send out some blank dvds or what not. pls let me know. Thanks Jim

Would like to buy or trade for a CD copy of "The Wheel" (with the fantastic musical intro) as heard on "The Grateful Dead Movie (1977) during the first 8 minutes of the DVD's animation. If anyone knows what concert that was on it would be most appreciated. I heard it once on Sirius 32 but have been unable to find it. Many thanks.

I believe that was the rendition of the wheel from Garcia's first studio album. It is a wonderful document to Jerry's brilliance. Check it out (some other great versions of songs you love and some you might not love yet, but will!) The Truth is realized in an instant, the act is practiced step by step.

Greetings bwelker, Sure would love to hear your shows. I'm sure you want them to go to a good home. Since hearing about the spring tour I'm newly excited about trading. I just got tix to The Forum and Shoreline shows and am planning on taping them. These shows will be my second chance to see the Band. I was lucky to see them in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in '92'. Never thought I'd get the chance again. I'm now researching the equipment I need to record the shows and also use it to convert my 40+ tape collection. So I'm super excited about all this and would love to share my tapes too. If you want CD's of my stuff I'll do the lossless conversions. I haven't forgotten the grate attitude deadheads have and am happy to be getting back to the community finally. grateful, Longrifle

The other night we heard on http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com the second set of the 1969-06-05 show. We loved the playing but we just rolled over with laughter listening to Lovelight. Can anyone help me find a site where I can download this show? I looked in the Internet Archive but this show is only in streaming format. We like to have it on CD. As for trading: I have little to offer as most of the shows are downloadable from the Internet. Ship of Fools

Hello, I have a VHS tape of the Grateful Deads So Far. It came out in 1987 but has some of New Years 1985 on it also. It blends live Dead playing and creating in a controlled environment with live 1985 New Years mixed in. Pretty cool but i'd like to transer it to a DVD. Tape song list is: Uncle Johns,Playin, Terrepin, drums/space, Throwing Stones and Not Fade Away. I'll send you the vhs tape and you can make a copy for yourself and me and send it back. Whatcha say.

Some DVDs I have are: Hampton 89, New Years 89, Paris 90,Berlin 90, Landover 90 and so on. The DVDs are bootleg video with soundboard quality audio. Someone at a studio did a great job on these. My email is demigodband@msn.comSend me your show list and i'll send mine. I may help if you're new to trading. I'll get ya started.

As per Deadbase, it would appear that there's a perfectly good reason why you're having trouble tracking this down. If you do ever find it, please let us all know. Here's all the shows in Eugene they do know of: Query String: WHERE (city Like '%Eugene%') 21 shows matched your query. Date Venue 01-30-68 Erb Memorial Union, U. of Oregon, Eugene, Or. 05-31-69 McArthur Court, University of Oregon, Eugene, Or. 01-22-71 Lane Community College, Eugene, Or. 01-22-78 McArthur Court, University of Oregon, Eugene, Or. 06-25-78 Autzen Stadium, U. of Oregon, Eugene, Or. 08-16-81 McArthur Court, University of Oregon, Eugene, Or. 08-29-83 Silva Hall, Hult Center, Eugene, Or. 08-30-83 Silva Hall, Hult Center, Eugene, Or. 08-31-83 Silva Hall, Hult Center, Eugene, Or. 05-06-84 Silva Hall, Hult Center, Eugene, Or. 05-07-84 Silva Hall, Hult Center, Eugene, Or. 05-08-84 Silva Hall, Hult Center, Eugene, Or. 07-19-87 Autzen Stadium, U. of Oregon, Eugene, Or. 08-28-88 Autzen Stadium, U. of Oregon, Eugene, Or. 06-23-90 Autzen Stadium, U. of Oregon, Eugene, Or. 06-24-90 Autzen Stadium, U. of Oregon, Eugene, Or. 08-21-93 Autzen Stadium, U. of Oregon, Eugene, Or. 08-22-93 Autzen Stadium, U. of Oregon, Eugene, Or. 06-17-94 Autzen Stadium, U. of Oregon, Eugene, Or. 06-18-94 Autzen Stadium, U. of Oregon, Eugene, Or. 06-19-94 Autzen Stadium, U. of Oregon, Eugene, Or. Perhaps your co-worker meant the 68 or 69 show. Ask them if they remember the venue. There is a soundboard of the 69 show on archive, and it looks so tasty I'm just gonna have to give it a listen. Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

Deadbase has this one: Query String: WHERE (city Like '%Ashland%') 1 shows matched your query. Date Venue 02-04-68 Gym, South Oregon College, Ashland, Or. But they don't have a setlist, although apparently Quicksilver also played and tickets were $3. No copy on archive either. Good luck with your search. Sorry I wasn't more help.
