It's really nice reading everyone's emails...and that those of us still hanging on are staying optimistic, but I think we're all realistic enough at this point to be working on Plan B. Especially love hearing about the email confirmations slowly rolling in. Sounds like it's the bounce-backs but whatever...it's encouraging! I just keep thinking that the closer we get to July, tickets will be available at somewhat "normal" prices (hopefully!). Still resisting the overwhelming urge to just buy ridiculously priced tickets. Seems like lots are feeling the same way.

Very happy for you Jsharpe! Still sitting here in limbo. I checked my MO's on Tuesday. I got lucky and a nice man answered the phone and he said he really couldn't tell me anything without an official inquiry but off the record he told me that he was sorry they were not cashed. I'm still hoping that GDTS just haven't gotten to mine yet and that it might be processed this week.....But I'm also prepared to get the pinky any day. I wish we knew how many more envelopes need to be mailed back and how many people are still in limbo. An earlier article quoting from the Stinson Beach post office said they were sending back between 2 and 3 thousand envelopes a day. Given they received so many envelopes they could still be weeks away from getting them all returned? Hoping my undecorated envelope requesting tickets for just one show didn't fall through a crack somewhere. On the other hand one more day w/out bad news in the mailbox keeps hope alive. Staying hopeful but also being realistic here. Coming up with a plan B is probably a good idea for all of us still in limbo. Hang in there, you're not alone.

What a huge relief, very happy for you. It will surely be different one way or another, than 95. The interesting thing about the state of limbo for me is every now and then my brain tries to find reasons why its "for the best" that I might not have gotten tickets. Then the heart fights back loud and clear and blows whatever ridiculous rationalization the brain came up with out of the atmosphere. For whatever reason you are not sure about going back there I am guessing once the emotions settle you are going to be happy its on the horizon. Cheers!

Well... just checked them mail. Not what I expected. I paid the six bucks to the post office last Friday to check the status of my MOs. The lady at the Post Office seemed a little put out at having to do the check. She filled out this big form and called the hotline. Didn't say much and then said to me something like "no information" which I took to mean not cashed. Keep in mind that I did the phone check that everyone on here did and got "Does not match" for all three big MOs and "Does match" for the three smaller ones, leading me to believe the main ones were cashed. They were. Got a letter from the post office today with a photocopy of the money order I requested an Inquiry on cashed by GDTS TOO. Guess I'm going to Chicago this summer. Hopefully the other people that paid for the inquiry will get some relief. Still no email or pink slip, but unless they stole my money I expect I'm getting tix. I really wish you all the best luck and hope to see you all there. I really know how much this means to so many people. I was at Soldier Field in July of 95 and not sure how I feel about going back there.

Limbo. Got my MOs back today. I'm going to enjoy the 4th at my home with family, hopefully simulcasting the shows. Thanks to everyone who posted to keep us all informed (at least a little) as to what is going on. Nice to know there are others out there.

Hate this outcome, and so disappointed in the whole process this time around. Can anyone explain why some people got all three nights filled when so many of us were completely shut out? Makes no sense.

Got my letter today. It was posted 3/6. So sad here in MI. I so wanted my husband and 16 year old son to attend this final show. They are both guitar players and love playing GD songs together. It would of been so special for them. Plan B it is! I still think that if you haven't received your pinky you still have a shot. I have a feeling they'll get all of the returns back and then send out a few more happy emails (at least that's what I'd do if I was in charge) Good luck to those still waiting! And to the lucky ones that received the golden ticket, congratulations and have so much fun for all of us! Peace

The copies I got of my cashed MOs shows that they were stamped by GDTS TOO PAY TO THE ORDER OF WEST AMERICA BANK, NA FOR DEPOSIT ONLY GDTS TOO, INC. I too have not yet seen an email from them but am confident that it's simply due to shaky hands as I excitedly filled out the index card.

About a month ago I emailed the folks at gdststoo, then late last night I checked my phone and saw an email from them, I was holy crap here it is, I'm getting confirmation on tickets. To say I was stoked waiting for my email to load would be an understatement. Well I open it and it was, one of there old auto responses saying that there might be a few lingering confirmation emails going out but for the most part everyone has been notified, I'm like wtf! Talk about kicking someone when their down, c'mon guys! Still in limbo

I guess I'd rather be in limbo than no-ticket hell. I've even been shut out of Dear Jerry Citi-bank and then the general presale. Hope my string of luck changes Friday in the general sale for Dear Jerry.

I finally got it!! Man it felt good to take a breath after all that time! Best of luck to everyone still in limbo out there...hoping for the best possible news for everyone! They're still coming in slowly so don't give up hope! As for the USPS MO's - the website will only provide a result other than the "no information found on that serial" (or whatever it says exactly) if you pay the $6.10 at the Post Office for that particular MO. If you call the validation phone #, it will tell you either it Matches or it Does Not Match. Supposedly, if it matches, it's not cashed, if it does not match, then it is cashed...but again, the only way to know for sure is if you pay the $6.10 Money Order Inquiry fee at the Post Office. 24 hours or so after you pay, you should be able to get a true status online or call in and listen the prompts to get to a live person, give them the Bill # on your receipt from paying the $6.10, and they can then look it up for you and tell you the status. Basically, without paying the $6.10, there's no way to know without a doubt, the status of your MOs.

Got all my money orders back today. So depressing. I was beginning to have fantasies that my mediocre artwork (that I slaved over till 2am on a work night) was going to be picked for the commemorative tickets because they picked some that showed more heart than great art...thought maybe the glitter that I modge podged on helped put me in...imagine my dismay when I hear of someone who had no art & postmarked the 21st got their request filled. Well at least I'm not the only one & at least I got in for the 3rd, which a lot of people got completely shut out so I know I should quit whining but Just Sayin....& Glad to have found this online community here! I'm not on facebook so this has been cool connecting with people that have the ears to hear , for those still waiting , I wish you peace

After reading about Spencer and Faith yesterday, I started to get an uneasy feeling. And sure enough, I arrived home to discover that my SASE, that I had sent off on such a noble quest seemingly so long ago, had prematurely returned, complete with internal notice of failure. (In Charlotte, envelope dated March 9th) I can rant and rave about the evils of all that obviously conspired to ensure that I will not be able to attend the celebrations this July (to which it truly seems that I belong to be at), but that seems like a lot of work. I do hope that my good friends at GDTS TOO, after much deliberations, have decided that their not-so-kind message to me would be the final negative message that they need to send, and from here on, all their communication to all of you is positive. (Someone has to receive the last "Dear John" letter.... maybe I can at least win that prize?)

Received my MO's in the mail today. Postmarked March 10th. At least I know now and will be able to process my disappointment some before my birthday Monday - better today than then. I'm doing my best to keep it all in perspective. I've lived in Chicago since 1988, and was blessed with glitter tickets for both of last shows in 95 at Soldier field. A buddy and I had a little 23 foot sailboat named Sundance at the time that we moored during the summers at Burnham harbor (the harbor at Soldier Field), so we were able to sail during the day and sleep aboard after the shows. I remember there was another trailerable named Wharf Rat that was there for the shows that we partied with - it really was a magical weekend. I also was able to attend both shows at Alpine Valley when the Other Ones got together the first time after Jerry's passing. Alpine Valley has always been one of my favorite venues (second to Shoreline) and it was at those shows I decided if I ever had a daughter I would name her Cassidy. DSO also plays frequently in town (saw them February 6 at the Vic) as well, so, as I said, I really am trying to keep my disappointment in perspective as in my head I know it could be worse. I will jump on my bicycle each morning of the shows and head down the lakefront to the parking lot looking for my miracle. Although I am becoming resigned to the fact I won't be inside (no scalper tix for me), I won't miss the opportunity to celebrate life with you all - my Grateful Dead family - one last time. It's not everything I had hoped for and imagined as I stood in line at the post office with others in the family, anxiously reviewing our envelopes, index cards and artwork as we waited for the next available teller, but as I type this I realize it's really not that bad of a consolation prize. The community has always been an important part of the experience for me. With or without tickets, I hope to see you all in Chicago this summer - we can dance in the parking lot together...
