the more they stay the same! Now here you go again You say you want your freedom Well, who am I to keep you down? It's only right that you should Play the way you feel it But listen carefully to the sound Of your loneliness Like a heartbeat.. drives you mad In the stillness of remembering what you had And what you lost... And what you had... And what you lost [Chorus:] Thunder only happens when it's raining Players only love you when they're playing Say... Women... they will come and they will go When the rain washes you clean... you'll know, you'll know Now here I go again, I see the crystal visions I keep my visions to myself It's only me Who wants to wrap around your dreams and... Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? Dreams of loneliness... Like a heartbeat... drives you mad... In the stillness of remembering what you had... And what you lost... And what you had... And what you lost [Chorus 2x]

Only love can make it rain The way the beach is kissed by the sea Only love can make it rain Like the sweat of lovers layin' in the fields Love, reign o'er me Love, reign o'er me Rain on me, rain on me Only love can bring the rain That makes you yearn to the sky Only love can bring the rain That falls like tears from on high Love, reign o'er me Rain on me, rain on me Love, reign o'er me Rain on me, rain on me On the dry and dusty road The nights we spend apart alone I need to get back home to cool, cool rain I can't sleep, and I lay, and I think The night is hot and black as ink Oh God, I need a drink of cool, cool rain Love, reign o'er me Reign o'er me, o'er me, o'er me Love, reign o'er me, o'er me Love Goodnight Miami, Goodnight Irene.....and all the ships at sea.....pun intended.....

Half a mile from the county fairAnd the rain keep pourin' down Me and Billy standin' there With a silver half a crown Hands are full of a fishin' rod And the tackle on our backs We just stood there gettin' wet With our backs against the fence Oh, the water Oh, the water Oh, the water Hope it don't rain all day [Chorus:] And it stoned me to my soul Stoned me just like Jelly Roll And it stoned me And it stoned me to my soul Stoned me just like goin' home And it stoned me Then the rain let up and the sun came up And we were gettin' dry Almost let a pick-up truck nearly pass us by So we jumped right in and the driver grinned And he dropped us up the road We looked at the swim and we jumped right in Not to mention fishing poles Oh, the water Oh, the water Oh, the water Let it run all over me [Chorus] On the way back home we sang a song But our throats were getting dry Then we saw the man from across the road With the sunshine in his eyes Well he lived all alone in his own little home With a great big gallon jar There were bottles too, one for me and you And he said Hey! There you are Oh, the water Oh, the water Oh, the water Get it myself from the mountain stream

Have you ever seen those in gift shops...they're red rubber duckies with little devil horns. So devilishly cute! Sold ba dus, too many miles, brakes shot, no A/C and its friggin hot here.... Good news.....I got incense, coffee, dog n cat food and a weird ass raft from these guys named Huck n Jim...they were following Phish upstream and needed gas money..... Problem is I'm up the creek without a paddle....anyone have a spare paddle and we can go see Carlos n Phil at Lock'n and Warren and Bobby with Ratdog...... Sarge is wearing his lifeguard garb, with goggles.....so we are safe..... Get on your cabana wear......and have one more piña colada..... With a lotta love and Just a little luck we can carry on..... This one goes out to those who are in a lull after the Chicago party....... Gotta get better in a little while.....Eric and Duane told me so...it must be true! A friend of mine just had a real bad time. You see, his life was shattered and he lost his mind. His girl ran off along with his best friend, And through emotional stress he brought his life to an end. It was such a tragedy, But that's the way it's got to be. Life goes on. Life goes on. It happens ev'ry day. So appreciate what you got Before it's taken away. Life will hit you When you're unprepared, So be grateful and take all That you can while you're there. Get that frown off your head, 'Cause you're a long time dead. Life goes on and on and on. Life goes on and on and on. No use runnin' 'round lookin' scared, Life could get you when you're unaware. One day it's gonna come, so you better accept it. Life will hit you when you least expect it. And one day when you are gone, You know that life will still go on. But no one'll care if you've been good, bad, right or wrong. Life will still go on. My bank went broke and my well ran dry. It was almost enough to contemplate suicide. I turned on the gas, but I soon realized I hadn't settled my bill so they cut off my supply. No matter how I try, it seems I'm too young to die. Life goes on and on and on. Life goes on and on and on. Tornado, cyclone and hurricane Can batter the houses with the thunder and rain. Blizzards can blow; the waves hit the shore, But the people recover and come back for more. Somehow the people fight back, even the future looks black. Life goes on and on and on. Life goes on and on and on.

Top of the afternoon peeps (literally). Nothin' like some in-air GoGo wifi.....(no, rrrrrgrrrrr, not that kind of Go Go....). Okay..... so no one laugh, but I just saw this Hall and Oates concert from Dublin from last summer here on the flight. Holy shit - frickin' amazing and brought back great, great memories of their catalog of hits. Highly recommend it. Could never figure out how they were friends of the Dead but I do remember them opening up for them on the 9th of 9 straight nights at MSG in when was that?? '89? '91? Anyways, here's to hoping all the beautiful Sunshine Daydreamer's had a wonderful start to the week. Cheers !!

I had one of of those moments too. I never paid much attention to Hall & Oates other then when they were on the radio where ever I happened to be. Then I stumbled upon a show called "Live From Daryl's House" with guest Joe Walsh. Wow!!! Joe Walsh is always great, but I saw a side to Daryl Hall I never new existed. He was amazing. Same thing when he had Billy Gibbons and Todd Rungren as guests. This is a series he has been doing for seven years or so. They take place in a private studio he has put together. Best place to begin looking into this is Wikipedia.

The mayor will be getting home from work soon and he's gonna find out I ratted him out on his tickets. I should have thought that one through. Nowhere to run nowhere to hide. What's for dinner?

We don't need no stinking badgers.... Brah... It's all good, I'm rooting for Duke, because for all crazy ass reasons....when my daughter was accepted there 7 years ago, I refused for her to attend, cuz to me $60,000+/ year x 4 years was too much for me to handle and I didn't want her to be in that much debt....for undergrad.... Looking back it was the right choice....for us....at least.... She forgave me and we are gonna watch together, she's in town for Easter week.... Godspeed to Wisconsin...beating Caliperi was sweet.... Glad to see my Blue Devil's won last night. Graduated in 83 and was there when they hired Coack K. We were not very good back then for a couple of years. Got to see Michael Jordan play in college. 3rd Dead Concert was 4/2/82 at Cameron Indoor. Volunteered to be an usher so got to see the show for free. After the first set was able to go down front and be done working. Still have my t-shirt I got that night. I believe that was the show that Jerry and Bob switched sides? Steve
