I can't figure out 80% of what everyone is talking about in here. Some days this sub-forum feels like I walked into a party where everyone else is trippin' and I'm not. Am I the only one?
@mkav
And you know something is happening but you don't know what it is...do you Mr. Jones?
sorry mkav....
Timothy Leary isn't dead, he's alive and well and fueling the tie dye squirrels, who are running the treadmill powering the minds of the great and near great....
It's Alright
I'll Let You Be In My Dream If I Can Be In Your Dream
There It Is, You Got It Going Now
Now go out on your front porch and sing:
Yeah, it's comin' 'long fine
And there ain't no water 'round
Well if your house catches on fire
And there ain't no water 'round
Throw the baby out the window
Let the god dam shack burn down
Come ti yi yippe
Ti yi yippee yippee yay
Come ti yi yippe
Ti yi yippee yippee yay
Whazzat explained
Hi campers and camperettes-
I've had three different kind folks bring up the fact that the Sunshine Daydream thread seems to be written in code, or that they can't quite get a handle on the issues being discussed.
Please keep in mind that our Bus driver and resident wit is channeling the not only the spirit of the GD in their space-jams, but also the personalities of Jack Kerouac, Hunter Thompson, Neal Cassady and the allegorical spaciness inherent in those many years of special Kool-aid tests that Tom Wolfe wrote about so eloquently back in'68. The idea is for all of us to think "out-of-the-box" as we prepare for this grand reunion, or as some might say, just get out-there with it all (in a friendly way).
Also, the Merry Pranksters took a bit of a bus ride back in '64, and the spirit of those sketchy fragmented experiences and stories, birthed during that journey, are also prevalent in the various comments we are all reading.
As we get closer to our destination, please know that there may be a gradual increase in the number of posts that actually make sense, and will help to guide us to a safe landing.
Until then, keep your tin-foil hats on with antennas pointed in the proper direction, tighten those seat-belts and enjoy the ride.
For we are not just the best at what we do, we are the only ones that do what we do.
cheers-
Geo-the-voice-of-reason-meister
@voice of reason...
so that's what we're doing?
Cool....
Hey you tie dye squirrel...back on the treadmill...

Momma Told Me Not To Come
This place is going to get stranger, so let's get on with the show, let's go. Next up abstract references to Talking Heads lyrics.

Here's Your Ticket, Pack Your Bag, Time For Jumpin' Overboard
Horse is calling the shots. It's his music I'm listening to now.
There's a Lot of Simularities
Except Horse polished off the whole pot of chili and forced his way into the campfire scene. Don't know what to with him sometimes.
don't know what to do?
take it to the river. give it a good scrubbing
Keep The Faith Mayor
Sorry to here things are still a struggle. Everyone's still pulling for you. Got To Get Better In A Little While.
Stones Tickets
I got 2 tickets to the Stones at Arrowhead, which holds 70,000. Club Level 235 directly opposite the stage at the other end. Row 2. $268 each. Seems like a bargain, huh?
Steve
have to step away for a while
The lack of a Santa Clara announcement, communication or even an acknowledgement of the possibility has driven me to depression.
The lack of a response from the organization and its company/administration I consider seriously insulting.
I'm taking a break from the day-to-day postings. Will check PMs and e-mails.
Love you all, take care of each other...
Start me up
Just wanted to add my 2 cents, actually, 0.24 CAn, put it in the tip jar rereggrrr. Basically, thanks Geo for
Keeping it real, and that's some
Crazy horse
James, just another canadian reference. Figure I bettter get it in before your avatar changes tomorrow.
Is there a Dr. In the house? Klang is hanging on just barely.
@sweet Virginia

@klang....it is what it is...Chicago or bust brah....
Don't abdicate the mayoral throne....Rob Ford wants in big time....
And If you want to you can lean on me....
@cain Smell The Horse
Horse has prohibited any future avatar changes. He has his CID package and he will be in Chicago. He will be at the front of the Pit, for his tickets are superior to mine. He is in absolute control of things on this end. It's all one long song.
New Klang theme song...
GDTRFB....
Godspeed, dude...this bus will still be rollin' if/when you decide come back.
Until then, I'm outta gas bro trying to talk you down from off the ledge.
All my lovin',
Your Ringmaster.
ps - many qualified SD peeps on the waiting list dying for name space on the back of our T so man-up and decide my friend - we "go to print" soon.
Cool By Him
Horse is his official stage name, verifiable on his website. But he's cool with "T" as a nickname. He's excited about the bling, but refuses to get a Mohawk. He just completed performing a masterful rendition of Bob Dylan's 115Th Dream with sunglasses on.
geo whazzat
I figured most of what you said is what's happnin but I'm still lost most of the time.
it's all "teeth like baseballs, eyes like jellied fire"
@T horse....

Brive us to the Jubilee
That acid reunion looks to be the Deal. (and hoping Kaner recovers in time to save us in the post-season)
All Down The Line
rrrrgrrrr always keeps this bus right on time and yet he manages to keep the destination a mystery. Or is it, we know where we're going but we don't know where we've been? Either way we are best off leaving the driving to him. He is the walrus!!!!
Whazzat Revisited: the Pic-I-Nic, the Mayor and the Horse
Not withstanding my earlier characterizations, and continuing the discussion, there are many ways one can view the thoughts and the happenstance responses that find their ways onto our fine Sunshine Daydream Home Thread.
For instance, within the rambling stories that weave their collective ways through these fine forum threads, there is also a discussion, a sermon, a pleading, a dream, a dance, a song or three, and a reaching out. Whether it is from a Brother or a Sister or a Father or a Mother or a Daughter or a Son, it is real...or maybe not. But guaranteed, Somebody cares about Something, be it Real or Imagined, and they are letting all of us know. Turn up the Bass, Tune the Banjo, shut up during Space, I need a ticket, Who's on first, it's important, whatever it is.
So we reads, and we posts, and we explore. We share. We anticipate, we plan, we rejoice and we get saddened....hopefully, the saddened moments are brief and fleeting, and if they are not, they are somewhat lessened by the comfort our family can give. We are fed, and we feed others. We are family.
Sunshine DayDream: At Once a Thread, a Home, A Couch, A Bus, A Book, a Church, a Soapbox and Thank you very much rgrgrrgr, a dining room.
A Pic-i-Nic? Certainly. over there, at the SE corner of the Buckingham Fountain, in that little grove of trees. Meet-ups start as soon as you can get there, and end after the last people say adios. Bring your own everything, and a bit more for your neighbor.
A Mayor? We have several, they meet here. Not unlike the park bench over at the town square in Maintown, USA, populated with those Who Make The Important Decisions, they have this place. No one is in charge, each gets to be a blowhard as the baton is passed, and all issues are carefully pondered on before a proposal is offered or a decision is made. Each is a Mayor in His/Her own right. All of us get to drive, to give advice, to give directions or ask questions or provide answers or extend a helping hand or share an encouraging word.
A Horse? Now that's another issue altogether. Hey you over there with your hand up...tell us about this horse deal.
Film at Eleven...thanks for staying to the end....or is it....
PS I Miss Jerry too!
