    Possible xtras for Chi-Town...
I mail ordered a pair for Chicago and am hopeful that I'll get them. In an effort to hedge my luck, I was able to grab a pair from the evil Ticketmaster when tickets hit the street. If GDTSTOO comes through, I will be left with an xtra pair that I will happily lay on someone for face value. They will be of the cheap(?) $50.00 variety and as soon as I know for sure, we can pursue a path of easy transaction. If interested, PM me. see y'all out there, DooDahh His job is to shed light, not to master...

1 ticket for cheap seats at all shows except Shoreline, Albany, Worcester, Hartford. Would prefer to deal with somebody who can sell all in one package. Any location cheap seat will do, obstructed view, etc..

Well it's about time Congressman asks for investigation of Ticketmaster, TicketsNow over Springsteen By George Gombossy on February 3, 2009 2:44 PM | Permalink | Comments (0) PASCRELL SEEKS INVESTIGATION INTO TICKETMASTER BUSINESS PRACTICE WITH SUBSIDIARY, TICKETNOW Press release: WASHINGTON-- U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-08) today requested that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division investigate Ticketmaster's relationship with its subsidiary company, TicketsNow, following the company's handling of ticket sales for the Bruce Springsteen tour that became available on Monday February 2. Dear Chairman Kovacic: I am writing today to direct your attention to a potential conflict of interest regarding Ticketmaster and its affiliate company, TicketsNow. This issue has been brought to my attention through constituent complaints and press reports regarding the online sale of Bruce Springsteen concerts tickets at the IZOD Center in New Jersey and other locations all across the country. As you know, Ticketmaster is a large ticket sales and distribution company that often serves as a venue's sole ticketing agent. A large percentage of their sales are made online through Ticketmaster.com. In a recent effort expand its business Ticketmaster acquired TicketsNow, a website which specializes in the secondary, resale market for tickets. When tickets for Bruce Springsteen's new tour went on sale exclusively through Ticketmaster at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2009, scores of fans in New Jersey were met with technical difficulty on Ticketmaster.com that impaired them from making a purchase. Thousands of others who were fortunate enough to get beyond the technical problems were informed that the shows were sold out. Conspicuously placed on the same screen that informed fans of ticket unavailability was an alternative purchasing option from TicketsNow.com. It offered the same tickets at a value marked up hundreds of dollars beyond their original face value. I am troubled by how quickly tickets priced exponentially higher became available on the secondary market to thousands of rejected fans, many who also endured unfortunate technical problems on Ticketmaster.com. I am concerned that the business affiliation between Ticketmaster and TicketsNow may represent a conflict of interest that is detrimental to the average fan. There is a significant potential for abuse when one company is able to monopolize the primary market for a product and also directly manipulate, and profit from, the secondary market. Additionally, the speed with which tickets were made available on Ticketmaster's official resale affiliate site raises questions about whether TicketsNow brokers were given preferential treatment instead of competing on a level playing field with average consumers to purchase the tickets. With so many families struggling in this economy, I am outraged by how expensive tickets to ball games, concerts and other shows have become. I understand the economic principles that have driven up the cost of entertainment, but will not tolerate unjust business practices that put regular Americans at a disadvantage. I respectfully request that your office investigate the relationship between Ticketmaster and TicketsNow to ensure that the procedure for purchasing tickets remains fair to the average consumer. If you require any additional information or have any questions, please contact Arthur Mandel on my staff at (202) 225-5751. I look forward to the favor of your reply. Sincerely, Bill Pascrell, Jr. Member of Congress

I lost my job and just found a new one, so I am no longer able to make the trek to Chicago :-(I purchased my tickets through GDTSTOO, so I have no idea where they are other than they are premium reserved seats. All I have for now is the email from them confirming they are filling my order. If you are interested in buying the tickets, please let me know. I'd prefer if it was someone local to exchange the tix for cash when they are distributed. I am in the SF Bay area. Chicago is where I grew up, so I am bummed, but want a Deadhead to get the tickets and go to the show and enjoy. Please do not contact me if you are just looking to resell or flip the tickets. Thanks, Kathy

Eight to 12 lucky Deadheads will get their chance for a miracle in the parking lot at Levi's Stadium on 6/27 & 6/28. Me and my uncles have between eight and 12 extra tickets for both shows at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. A Deadhead since 1979, we have benefitted from the generosity of Deadheads and thus, we'd like to pay this forward. This long, strange trip doesn't end with scalpers; since it began with Deadheads, so shall it end the same way. SYF! Tickets will be sold as is, meaning you get it for what we paid for it, including service fees, and NOTHING more. There will be no scalping on my watch, so tell me your story. Come on, give me a reason to give these tickets to you and your friends for the shows. Best reasons win the chance to get them, period. This is a serious offer open to Deadhead only!! Preference will be given to none.

Just read this on Facebook. Really too bad. It breeds bad feeling - don't let it happen to you! I've changed some of the text with "***" :) "I'm sure I'm not the only person who was stupid enough to send money out to somebody in hopes of them being a decent person and honoring their word. I spent 2 hours talking with this dude I met on Craigslist who was selling a 3 day pass, feeling him out. I saw the order confirmation he got when he bought the tickets on Ticketmaster, etc.. After telling me in detail about the hundreds of shows he's seen, and all the wonderful people and music he'd embraced over the years, he f***** me. He took my cash and what I hope I had left in mankind with him. I know I'm young, dumb, and naive and I expect a million comments saying things like "well what the f*** did you expect idiot, you sent out money to a complete stranger" but mainly what I need right now is some encouragement. I have the days off work, and can potentially earn enough cheddar to make the show by July but am seriously butthurt. I've been fucked in the past, but never by somebody who I thought was such a good person. All the best fellow heads, and I hope to see you there. If not, I will be there in spirit, down in the pit, sweatin' tongue emoticon."

I don't understand how people wake up in the morning and plan to do harm, rob and con people out of money. I feel for this person out some $$$. Unfortunately, this will be the beginning of crooks and con men ripping people off. The big hit will be when tickets are finally mailed and counterfeits come on the market. Be careful people...... Peace out.....

If this was paid via PayPal with a PayPal invoice and run though credit card then chances would be high that the CC company would cover it. I wonder how they know they have been burned at this point? No more communication or one that says you have been burned?

Hi, I am looking for Santa Clara tickets, preferable for either night, one or two for each of those, or whatever is possible. Coming from Boston and figure I'd be better off with tickets prior to making a plane reservation. So, if you want to send me a note at shauin.baran@aol.com or on here. I would and may have to buy from Stub hub or some such thing, but would rather not, I haven't had to do that since 4/19-21/84 in Philadelphia and figure it wouldn't be very fun.. Onwards and hope to see you there. Be in touch........
