you edited your post goddammmit....one too many m's..... The screen door slams Mary' dress waves Like a vision she dances across the porch As the radio plays Roy Orbison singing for the lonely Hey that's me and I want you only Don't turn me home again I just can't face myself alone again Don't run back inside Darling you know just what I'm here for So you're scared and you're thinking That maybe we ain't that young anymore Show a little faith there's magic in the night You ain't a beauty but hey you're alright Oh and that's alright with me You can hide 'neath your covers And study your pain Make crosses from your lovers Throw roses in the rain Waste your summer praying in vain For a saviour to rise from these streets Well now I'm no hero That's understood All the redemption I can offer girl Is beneath this dirty hood With a chance to make it good somehow Hey what else can we do now ? Except roll down the window And let the wind blow Back your hair Well the night's busting open These two lanes will take us anywhere We got one last chance to make it real To trade in these wings on some wheels Climb in back Heaven's waiting on down the tracks Oh-oh come take my hand We're riding out tonight to case the promised land Oh-oh Thunder Road oh Thunder Road Lying out there like a killer in the sun Hey I know it's late we can make it if we run Oh Thunder Road sit tight take hold Thunder Road Well I got this guitar And I learned how to make it talk And my car's out back If you're ready to take that long walk From your front porch to my front seat The door's open but the ride it ain't free And I know you're lonely For words that I ain't spoken But tonight we'll be free All the promises'll be broken There were ghosts in the eyes Of all the boys you sent away They haunt this dusty beach road In the skeleton frames of burned out Chevrolets They scream your name at night in the street Your graduation gown lies in rags at their feet And in the lonely cool before dawn You hear their engines roaring on But when you get to the porch they're gone On the wind so Mary climb in It's town full of losers And I'm pulling out of here to win Later kid.....high to Matt

Dont look up the band...just read the lyrics. I do not condone listening to the makers of this song... There is no hope for you and me Cause this long drive might be [The last time I take the wheel] You're not sure how you feel I think the spotlight Always gives you stage fright Wish this song would end right Wish that you would stop Makin' my head spin Over and over it's over but what if we... If we just pretend You'll play the love and baby I'll play the lead So strike a pose and fake a smile you're coming with me I'll strum my guitar 'cause girl I know how you are You're just a little bit camera shy but you're still a star This isn't right you said It takes some time you know Let's try again tonight This fight is getting old I think the spotlight Always gives you stage fright Wish this song would end right Wish that you would stop Makin' my head spin You're young but old enough to build up Falling walls and false love Wish this song would end I wish this song would end You'll play the love and baby I'll play the lead So strike a pose and fake a smile you're coming with me I'll strum my guitar 'cause girl I know how you are You're just a little bit camera shy but you're still a star We're done tonight We gotta pick it up slowly Can I hear your voice What a perfect story Can I pick you up You can be my star Now the spotlight's on, move close for the final scene You'll play the love and baby I'll play the lead So strike a pose and fake a smile you're coming with me I'll strum my guitar 'cause girl I know how you are You're just a little bit camera shy but you're still a star You're just a little bit camera shy but you're still a star You're just a little bit camera shy but you're still a star good evening to you rrrgrrr...keep on truckin'!!!!!

Bruce, first played live September 2002..... Oh what a thrill.... Every year when summer comes around They stretch a banner 'cross the main street in town You can feel somethin' happenin' in the air Well from Carol's house up on Telegraph Hill You can see the lights goin' up out in the soldiers' field Gettin' ready for the county fair County fair, county fair Everybody in town will be there So come on, hey, we're goin' down there Hey little girl with the long blond hair Come win your daddy one of them stuffed bears Baby down at the county fair Now you'll be hangin' tight when we hit the top And that rollercoaster's ready to drop And you brag, how you wasn't even scared* Well baby you know I just love the sound Of the pipe organ on the merry-go-round Baby down at the county fair** County fair, county fair Everybody in town will be there So come on, we're goin', goin' down there Hey little girl with the long blond hair Come win your daddy one of them stuffed bears Baby down at the county fair Now at the north end of the field, well they set up a stand And they got a little Rock 'N' Roll band The people dancin', yeah, out in the open air Well it's James Young and the Immortal Ones Just two guitars, baby, bass and drums Just rockin' down at the county fair Well county fair, county fair Everybody in town will be there So come on, we're goin' down there Hey little girl with the long blond hair Come win your daddy one of them stuffed bears Baby down at the county fair Now it's gettin' late before we head back to town We let the fortune wheel spin around Come on mister, tell me what's waitin' out there On my way out I steal a kiss in the dark Hope I can remember where our car's parked Baby at the county fair Now off down the highway there's the last stream of cars We sit a while in my front yard With the radio playin' soft and low I pull Carol close to my heart And I lean back and stare up at the stars Oh I wish never had to let this moment go

Well, that about sums it up! I'm somewhere in between the Galleria and "Natural Bridge and Kingshighway" But what about this oldie... When Louis came home to the flat, He hung up his coat and his hat, He gazed all around But no wifey he found So he said "Where can Flossy be at" A note on the table he spied He read it just once then he cried It read 'Louis dear it's toos low for me here So I think I will go for a ride Oh Meet me in St. Louis, Louis Meet me at the fair, Don't tell me the lights are shining Any place but there We will dance the hoochie koochie I will be your tootsie wootsie If you will meet me in st. Louis, Louis, Meet me at the fair (Company) Meet me in st. Louis, Louis Meet me at the fair Don't tell me the lights are shining Any place but there We will dance the hoochie koochie I will be your tootsie wootsie If you will meet me in St. Louis, Louis Meet me at the fair Road Trip indeed!

What part of the Midwest is close to Da Buff? Harry got up Dressed all in black Went down to the station And he never came back They found his clothing Scattered somewhere down the track And he won't be down on Wall Street in the morning He had a home The love of a girl But men get lost sometimes As years unfurl One day he crossed some line And he was too much in this world But I guess it doesn't matter anymore In a New York Minute Everything can change In a New York Minute Things can get pretty strange In a New York Minute Everything can change In a New York Minute Lying here in the darkness I hear the sirens wail Somebody going to emergency Somebody's going to jail If you find somebody to love in this world You better hang on tooth and nail The wolf is always at the door In a New York Minute Everything can change In a New York Minute Things can get a little strange In a New York Minute Everything can change In a New York Minute And in these days When darkness falls early And people rush home To the ones they love You better take a fool's advice And take care of your own One day they're here; Next day they're gone I pulled my coat around my shoulders And took a walk down through the park The leaves were falling around me The groaning city in the gathering dark On some solitary rock A desperate lover left his mark, "Baby, I've changed. Please come back." What the head makes cloudy The heart makes very clear The days were so much brighter In the time when she was here But I know there's somebody somewhere Make these dark clouds disappear Until that day, I have to believe I believe, I believe In a New York Minute Everything can change In a New York Minute You can get out of the rain In a New York Minute Everything can change In a New York Minute

I don't know, started with a "B"........tiramisu is fantastic, the girl makes it wonderfully, with home made Kalua, I'll throw a dollop in the pack, it will go well with Phish taco enchiladas.

Some highlights and lowlights (as usual the highs far outweigh the lows): 1) AMAZING Althea, I think it's the best I have ever heard! (Bobby's slide was outstanding - super cool effect he was using) 2) Jerry's voice was very good throughout. 3) Very nice Box, Phil and the boys sang it grate. 4) Jerry misses, forgets or intentionally doesn't sing "..to get to Terrapin." 5) Excellent Drums (90% Billy, Mickey was fiddling about) 6) Terrapin>drums>the other one>the Wheel (unique putting the wheel AFTER the Other one and not right after space). 6.1) Jerry tries to come in too early with "won't ya try just a little bit harder" Oops. Otherwise very nice version. 7) The other one (Jerry shredded it, great jam!) 8) Sizzling Morning Dew (Jerry really got into the vocal and guitar playing) CRAZY GOOD! (Jerry screams, wow!) 9) Lovelight was a little lackluster IMO (Bobby held way back on the Bobby Vegas routine, was waiting for him to get hammy and for some reason he didn't). Great time, second set was louder in the theater and the sound did seem to get better as the night went on. [Good thing there was in and out privileges if you know what I mean, Looks like rain was better from the outside :-)] Not a great turnout and nobody danced. I didn't want to be the first to get up out my seat so I did a little jig in my seat for the Wheel (that song makes me dance every time.)

I noticed that too about Jerry not singing that line in Terrapin. It seemed like he did it on purpose. Was there something he was responding to that happened at Alpine or on that tour that summer? I know Jerry would be tuned it to stuff like that, and communicate with the fans in interesting ways like that. Any ideas?

Does anyone know if the streaming package will be available in such a way that it would be able to be streamed from a Roku? The website says "any device" but that's a bit vague. I will get them since I can't get to Chicago, but will need to find some other way to push it from PC to TV if they don't have a Roku option... Thanks, -Dave

So is this a streaming live event only here? Sucks if you are there live. I was hoping for a real PPV where you can watch at home on the big screen and DVR it, not on your laptop or iPad. Perhaps that's coming? Anyone know or see this differently?

My guess is that they don't want people to DVR it so they are not offering it in the traditional pay-per-view method to cable and satellite companies. This preserves future Blu-ray package revenue (at least in their mind, and to a point). Webcast discourages this copying practice. Just my $.02 on the subject. In my opinion they should not call it "pay per view" unless it is a cable/satellite offering.

Happy Wednesday! New avatar, how does it look? @seeing Jerry at the movies: Yeah the magic was there alright. High energy show, good setlist for sure. I echo your sentiment about the magic. If Fare Thee Well has half the magic as the Alpine Valley stint we are in for a treat. Rhythm Devils alone should be worth the price of admission. And personally, I think Trey is gonna work out just fine and the boys will be rockin' again next month. Holy crap it's getting here, next month is Santa Clara!!!!!
