Ok children its the late shift here on ba dus Settle down easy back there and get some rest. Its gonna be a long week waiting for the festivities...but let's try not to wish our lives away...time's fun when you're having flies or something like that any way Well she was an American girl  Raised on promises  She couldn't help thinkin' that there  Was a little more to life  Somewhere else  After all it was a great big world  With lots of places to run to  Yeah, and if she had to die  Tryin' she had one little promise  She was gonna keep  Oh yeah, all right  Take it easy baby  Make it last all night  She was an American girl  It was kind of cold that night  She stood alone on her balcony  She could hear the cars roll by  Out on 441  Like waves crashin' on the beach  And for one desperate moment there  He crept back in her memory  God it's so painful  Something that's so close  And still so far out of reach  Oh yeah, all right  Take it easy baby  Make it last all night  She was an American girl

The Houston sky was changeless We galloped through bluebonnets I was wrestling with an angel You were working on a sonnet You said, "I believe the seraphim Will gather up my pinto And carry us away, Jim Across the San Jacinto My ride's here..." Shelley and Keats were out in the street And even Lord Byron was leaving for Greece While back at the Hilton, last but not least Milton was holding his sides Saying, "You bravos had better be ready to fight Or we'll never get out of East Texas tonight The trail is long and the river is wide And my ride's here" I was staying at the Westin I was playing to a draw When in walked Charlton Heston With the Tablets of the Law He said, "It's still the Greatest Story" I said, "Man, I'd like to stay But I'm bound for glory I'm on my way My ride's here..." I mean, just because you're a musician doesn't mean all your ideas are about music. So every once in a while I get an idea about plumbing, I get an idea about city government, and they come the way they come.-Jerry Garcia 6 weeks, 3 days, and 14 hours until show time in Levi's Stadium. 7 weeks, 2 days, and 12 hours until show time in Soldier Field. 6 weeks, 2 days, and 4 hours until we set up camp at Klang's house for the Sunshine Daybreamer weekend BBQ. "Klang" will be a notorious prefix, sort of like "gate" is now as a suffix, except "Klang" will have good connotations the polar opposite of the "gate" suffix. Ex: that was a Klanggood time or what a Klanger of a FTW show or too bad Trey isn't a Klanger.....

Tinfoil. Meeting your psychonaut needs for over 50 years. 6 weeks, 2 days, and 12 hours until showtime in Levi's Stadium. 7 weeks, 1 day, and 10 hours until showtime in Soldier Field. Thomas Edison recorded Mary had a Little Lamb on tin in 1877. He immediately realized tin makes an awfully flimsy record. He promptly fashioned the recording into a tinfoil hat and placed it on his head. He then began reciting Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary instead. He jumped so high, he touched the sky. Never got back until the fourth of July. True story. Really..... Patch those Sails and Shine those Rails!

Two years and nary a trip down the cookie aisle. A serendipitous left turn led me to this sugar wonderland, past the Mint Milanos and directly to Oreo cookie land, with sights, sounds (OK, maybe the sounds were my own) and flavor combinations heretofore unimaginable. There, sitting by its lonesome, was a single package of Reese's Oreos. Fueled by promises of (ahem) oral pleasure, I rescued that package, and as dog is my witness, consummated our bond on the NSFW drive home. Alas, it may be a spring fling, but for one night, the sugar and chemicals flowed. Edison has his pretty maids all in a row but pb and chocolate is where it's at. Spill the wine and take that pearl! Patching and shining and ready to set sail over the mountains in six weeks--have a grateful day, dreamers!
