    Kickstart the Barton Hall Book
    Don’t forget about Larry Reichman’s Cornell Book project. In case you missed it, Larry was attending Cornell in 1977 and had access to Barton Hall for the entire day on 5/8. He photographed set-up, sound check, show and crowd. He’s trying to publish his photos as an oversize, archival quality book. Read more including David Lemieux’s comments at the link below. As of Saturday Morning 5/20 there are LESS THAN 3 DAYS LEFT in the “All or Nothing”* Kickstarter campaign. As Hugh Romney told the crowd at Woodstock, “… for you people that still believe capitalism isn't that weird, you might help him out and … ” … make a pledge and get book(s) and more: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bartonhallphotos/barton-hall-5-8-7… * All or nothing: You won’t be charged until if/when the total goal is reached.     Oh, they are playing a festival called Cosmic Reunion. French Village is in the middle of the countryside... it is a good time, very crunchy, very outdoors....

    i just checked Forgotten space FB page. i had venue mixed up...they're actually at astral valley art park in french village on may 25. I sort of know St L area, but I'm not familiar with french village. FB says 45 min south of St L. Anyway, the band is outstanding.

    Thanks for the heads up bro, will have to check them out. The Old Rock House is a really cool venue downtown by the river. They have a kick-ass whiskey cellar. I am not seeing Forgotten Space on the lineup but there is a band called Tinsley Ellis Blues is Dead who focus on the more bluesy numbers from the Dead's repertoire.     been listening a lot to blue mountain the last couple of days. i liked it at first, and it is growing on me even more. also, got a big bottle of brother thelonius in frig...waiting for the weekend to come!

    keep an eye out for Forgotten Space...top notch GD tribute band, but that doesn't really do them justice. playing near St Louis late May at the Rock House I think. Playing at Martyr's in Chicago a day or two before D&C's show at Wrigley.They get my personal "no suck" guarantee. Kenny Withrow on lead also plays in New Bohemians. They occasionally go to Little Rock, KC, Denver and other cities generally between Dallas and Chicago. Check out their Facebook. Enjoy the shows

warming up nicely, and my Truckin' up to Buffalo, party at the Ralph, is on the truck for delivery, might have to slip on a new shirt and have a listen. On a side note, monkeys on ex. are up for the first party in the park in june......

Back in the 80's, my dad took the entire video of my brother's wedding with the camera upside down. The last thing on the recording is his grumbly baritone growling ... "godammit, you mean I've had this fucking thing..." One of my life's true precious memories. Man oh man, I miss that man.

Sad thing is in my successful yet twisted life...I miss Jerry more... Missing Jerry is my metaphor for missing all I have lost....... It's a sickness... But.can't wait for Chicago Katwoman.... Los Lobos.... Bertha.... Dressed myself in green.... I miss Jerry.....

I'll have to pull a good aud of this tomorrow to listen to over yardwork over the weekend. I just Pre ordered the new Yonder Mountain vinyl yesterday. I'm having fun showing my kids records. Tonight I was showing them the first album I ever bought, The Wall. Many albums are missing, but I still have the first one.

Youngster! I think my first LP was Out of the Blue by ELO, or was it Capt Fantastic by Elton? Probably Elton John, I think it came out in '73-74 (I was 9-10 yrs old).

R.I.P. B.B. King! I was lucky to get to see him about 10 years ago with Buddy Guy warming up. BB sat the whole time while he played but put on a great show. A true blues legend...

And goodnight, dear B.B. Thank you for the music. It's nice to think of everyone communing together in person and remotely over the Dear Jerry fest while I was at work doing the deal. Sorry for the loss of the Blues great. It's just that Wheel. So. Here's to all our safe passage to Chicago and beyond. It will be great while it lasts <3 Boo I hope to see some of those monkeys in June. Hope they have a place to play! Sounds like there's nothing but nothing near SC. Big sigh. :) I have a gray-eyed cat snuggled up to me as I say goodnight with my brown eyes. Another two hours before rrgrr and Tonytone are up but... I think we've had enough of a day, que no? It's been a big full day. Night dreamerz... Sweetest of dreamzzz.
