I'm floating around in ecstasy So don't stop me now don't stop me 'Cause I'm having a good time having a good time I'm a shooting star leaping through the skies Like a tiger defying the laws of gravity I'm a racing car passing by like Lady Godiva I'm gonna go go go There's no stopping me I'm burning through the sky yeah! an all-time favorite -- matters not if sung by the Maywood mailman or Ms. Raitt. Sublime, regardless. ok, back to work... Almost made it through Monday at work. I like what you said earlier about Monday not having to mean the end of the weekend. It's just that my reality is more fantasy than their daydream... One man, one goal, One mission. One heart, one soul, Just one solution. One flash of light, yeah, One god, one vision. One flesh, one bone, One true religion. One voice, one hope, One real decision. Wowowowo, gimme one vision, yeah. No wrong, no right. I'm gonna tell you there's no black and no white. No blood, no stain. All we need is one worldwide vision. One flesh, one bone, One true religion. One voice, one hope, One real decision. Wowowowowo, oh, yeah, oh, yeah, oh, yeah! I had a dream when I was young, A dream of sweet illusion, A glimpse of hope and unity, And visions of one sweet union. But a cold wind blows, And a dark rain falls, And in my heart it shows. Look what they've done to my dream, yeah. One vision! So give me your hands, Give me your hearts. I'm ready. There's only one direction. One world, one nation, Yeah, one vision. No hate, no fight, Just excitation, All through the night, It's a celebration, wowowowo, yeah. One [echo] (One vision) One flesh, one bone, One true religion. One voice, one hope, One real decision. Gimme one night, yeah. Gimme one hope, hey. Just gimme, ah. One man, one man, One bar, one night, One day, hey, hey. Just gimme gimme, gimme, gimme Fried chicken. Vision [fading]

It's a game...the game of life....nobody wins.... As long as we get to smile, laugh, snort, blush, question....or spew coffee on the monitor at work it makes it all worthwhile.... Your mileage may vary..... I am an old woman Named after my mother An old man is another Child who's grown old If dreams were thunder Lightning was desire This old house it would've burned down A long time ago [Chorus:] Make me an angel That flies from montgomery Make me a poster Of an old rodeo Just give me one thing That i can hold on to To believe in this livin' Is just a hard way to go When i was a young girl I had me a cowboy It wasn't much to look at It was a free ramblin' man There was a long time No matter how i tried The years they just rolled by Like a broken down dance [Chorus] There's flies in the kitchen I can hear them there buzzin' And i ain't done nothing since i woke up today But how the hell can a person Go on to work in the morning To come home in the evening And have nothing to say

Sittin' on a riverboat havin' a party Me and my Cajun Queen She's turnin' twenty-one on the Mississippi river Headin' down to New Orleans The year is 1894 Oh, come on mama, and love me some more Her dark eyes flash like a gambler's rings She shakes her pretty head and sings Life for me is a riverboat fantasy Watchin' the sun go down A rock and roll band with a reefer in my hand Now look at that wheel go around Cocaine kisses and moonshine misses That's the life for me I'm sailing away from my heartache On a riverboat fantasy Can't think, can't drink anymore whiskey I could've drunk a river dry, this old boat She's just sittin' in the moonlight Catchin' the gleam in her eye Showers of rain come pourin' down The sky full of stars like a French lace gown Shimmer, glimmer, I think I'm gonna fall Woops, catch me mama, that's all Life for me is a riverboat fantasy Watchin' the sun go down A rock and roll band with a reefer in my hand Now look at that wheel go around Cocaine kisses and moonshine misses That's the life for me I'm sailing away from my heartache On a riverboat fantasy Delta sun beats down like a hammer It gives the low down blues I've got a cotton gin, I'll weave and spin And shake the dust from my shoes I made my money, I found me a honey To tickle me under my chin When morning comes, I'll ride into town And worry about the shape I'm in Life for me is a riverboat fantasy Watchin' the sun go down A rock and roll band with a reefer in my hand Now look at that wheel go around Cocaine kisses and moonshine misses That's the life for me, yes, it is I'm sailing away from my heartache On a riverboat fantasy

Back in the 80's, my dad took the entire video of my brother's wedding with the camera upside down. The last thing on the recording is his grumbly baritone growling ... "godammit, you mean I've had this fucking thing..." One of my life's true precious memories. Man oh man, I miss that man.
