Since the early 70s for me....a dead show was an event, some better than others but all better than the alternative.....re watched stream of last night He's Gone.....laughed last night, did so again tonight for another reason, mistakes...yup...acknowledged....yup....do they really care...nope....it's the spirit....it's Pure Jerry....and not only does Trey bring it, he brings it with respect, with humility and passion....but I digress....looking forward to Chicago...took the week off...no choice....can't focus on anything else...Got strangers to meet....and I know it's just gonna get stranger..... Back on ba dus.....to lead the children home to the New Jerusalem..... Coffee is on and Supper is Ready! But I still miss Jerry..... goo goo g'joob....

Nottin' Like a Dead Show, agreed! Even from my living room, I am having a cathartic, surreal, and healing experience! The music just makes you emotional, If you have that real love for the music, energy, people, and healing that are part of a Dead show. I really liked it when the webcast showed a view of the Dead Heads in the stadium from the stage. It was like a buzzing beehive with spots of movement in unison of the Heads as they danced to the music. You don't see anything like that in most audiences. There's a vibe and Jerry is part of it, and that's what there is to gander here. But the music was amazing! They all did a great job. I love listening to Bruce, he's just pure talent. And Trey is playing Jerry licks almost Jerry-esque, which is the very best we can hope for. Ah the Boys are great! Just look at 'em. Jammin' out like that. I saw The Who a couple years ago and those dudes are dancing around the stage like they're 20. It's nuts and perfectly awesome. I love The Dead just for doing this and playing this beautiful, inspiring, rebellious music for/with us. The Haters are creating their own reality. This is called Separation of Densities. We get to choose our density. 3rd dimension, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th? You choose. Row Jimmy Row Gonna Get There? I don't know...

Back in the 80's, my dad took the entire video of my brother's wedding with the camera upside down. The last thing on the recording is his grumbly baritone growling ... "godammit, you mean I've had this fucking thing..." One of my life's true precious memories. Man oh man, I miss that man.

Youngster! I think my first LP was Out of the Blue by ELO, or was it Capt Fantastic by Elton? Probably Elton John, I think it came out in '73-74 (I was 9-10 yrs old).
