    Just listening
So I'm sitting here at work, listening to some Jerry and once again I'm reminded why I love his playing so much. The sincerity, tenacity, and authenticity of his playing just floors me sometimes. Every push, pull, slide, or bend of a string means something. Trey better deliver. I'll be smuggling tomatoes into Soldier Field just in I need to add some vegetables to some noodling. I'm hoping for a 3 course meal with dessert though. And them ain't no rotten tomotoes from the back of the dus either, but maybe some leftover picnic goodies. Like Ma always says, waste not, want not. Home is where the heart is.

Back in the 80's, my dad took the entire video of my brother's wedding with the camera upside down. The last thing on the recording is his grumbly baritone growling ... "godammit, you mean I've had this fucking thing..." One of my life's true precious memories. Man oh man, I miss that man.

Youngster! I think my first LP was Out of the Blue by ELO, or was it Capt Fantastic by Elton? Probably Elton John, I think it came out in '73-74 (I was 9-10 yrs old).
