If you ever feel lonesome, and your down in San Antone,Beg, steal, or borrow two nickels or a dime, and call me on the Phone. I'll meet you at Alamo mission, and we can say our prayers, The Holy Ghost and the Virgin Mother will heal us as we kneel there. In the moonlight, in the midnight, in the moonlight, midnight Moonlight. If you ever feel sorrow for the deeds you have done, With no hope for tomorrow in the setting of the sun. And the ocean is howling of things that might have been, And that last good morning sunrise will be the brightest you've ever Seen. In the moonlight, in the midnight, in the moonlight, midnight Moonlight. If you ever feel sorrow for the deeds you have done, With no hope for tomorrow in the setting of the sun. Deep within my heart Lies a melody, A song of old San Antone, Where in dreams I live With a memory, Beneath the stars all alone. Well, it was there I found Beside the Alamo Enchantment strange as the Blue up above, For that moonlit pass That only he would know Still hears my broken song of love. Moon in all your splendor, Known only to my heart, Call back my rose, Rose of San Antone! Lips so sweet and tender, Like petals fallin apart, Speak once again of my love, my own Broken song, Empty words I know Still live in my heart all alone, For that moonlit pass by the Alamo, And rose my rose of San Antone! [Instrumental] Well the, Moon in all your splendor, Known only to my heart, Call back my rose, Rose of San Antone! Lips so sweet and tender, Like petals fallin apart, Speak once again of my love, my own Broken song, Empty words I know Still live in my heart all alone, Well that moonlit pass by the Alamo, And rose my rose of San Antone. heh...

South of the border, down Mexico wayThat's where I fell in love when the stars above came out to play And now as I wander, my thoughts ever stray South of the border, down Mexico way She was a vision in old Spanish lace Just for a tender while, I kissed the smile upon her face For it was fiesta and we were so gay South of the border, down Mexico way Then she smiled as she whispered manana Never dreaming that we were parting And I lied as I whispered manana For our tomorrow never came South of the border, I rode back one day There in a veil of white, by candle light, she knelt to pray But the mission bells told me, that I mustn't stay South of the border, down Mexico way Ay ay ay ay, ay ay ay ay Ay ay ay ay, ay ay ay, ay

they only serve to lengthen the work week, no other purpose that I can see.. The song came and went Like the times that we spent Hiding out from the rain under the carnival tent I laughed and she'd smile It would last for awhile You don't know what you got till you lose it all again Listen to the mandolin rain Listen to the music on the lake Listen to my heart break every time she runs away Listen to the banjo wind A sad song drifting low Listen to the tears roll Down my face as she turns to go A cool evening dance Listening to the bluegrass band takes the chill From the air till they play the last song I'll do my time Keeping you off my mind but there's moments That I find, I'm not feeling so strong Listen to the mandolin rain Listen to the music on the lake Listen to my heart break every time she runs away Listen to the banjo wind A sad song drifting low Listen to the tears roll Down my face as she turns to go Running down by the lake shore She did love the sound of a summer storm It played on the lake like a mandolin Now it's washing her away once again Listen to the mandolin rain Listen to the music on the lake Listen to my heart break every time she runs away Listen to the banjo wind A sad song drifting low Listen to the tears roll Down my face as she turns to go The boat's steaming in I watch the side wheel spin and I Think about her when I hear that whistle blow I can't change my mind I knew all the time that she'd go But that's a choice I made long ago Listen to the mandolin rain Listen to the music on the lake Listen to my heart break every time she runs away Listen to the banjo wind A sad song drifting low Listen to the tears roll Down my face as she turns to go

So many trinkets, so many deserved recipients (friends, family, wives, strangers stopping strangers). So little time to do what's right. But we try to fight the fight to the best of our abilities. If we stumble or make a mistake, we pick ourselves back up and do it again... We are humans being... ...and I am Klangstone, somewhat dysfunctional and strange family member/mayor but I miss Jerry, Ron, Keith, Brent and Vince. HAPPY FRIDAY ALL! So I'm sitting here at work, listening to some Jerry and once again I'm reminded why I love his playing so much. The sincerity, tenacity, and authenticity of his playing just floors me sometimes. Every push, pull, slide, or bend of a string means something. Trey better deliver. I'll be smuggling tomatoes into Soldier Field just in I need to add some vegetables to some noodling. I'm hoping for a 3 course meal with dessert though. And them ain't no rotten tomotoes from the back of the dus either, but maybe some leftover picnic goodies. Like Ma always says, waste not, want not. Home is where the heart is.

Congratulations....to you and yours.... ok....follow the bouncing bee....and sing along.... with Peggy Lee Yes, it's a good day for singing a song, and it's a good day for moving along; Yes, it's a good day, how could anything be wrong, A good day from morning' till night Yes, it's a good day for shining your shoes, and it's a good day for losing the blues; Everything to gain and nothing' to lose, A good day from morning' till night I said to the Sun, "Good morning sun Rise and shine today" You know you've gotta get going If you're gonna make a showin' And you you've got the right of way. 'Cause it's a good day for paying your bills; And it's a good day for curing your ills, So take a deep breath and throw away the pills; 'Cause it's a good day from morning' till night.

Out on the road I chanced to see a car (not a cadillac) with a Dead emblem on it, and I wanted to send them a greeting (our car being "straight"). It occurred to me that we should have a hand signal to identify kindred spirits. Something obvious, as a salute between Heads. Would it work to make a Jerry-hand, to raise the hand with the middle finger kept half way down? And then the symbolism hit me: that gesture is the opposite of the signal you would send by raising the middle finger toward another person.
