According to the words over my high school entrance. this is not a contest, correct, more like a support group. Hi, My name is Holly and I'm a Dead Junkie, goin through withdrawls. Welcome to DA, we have a 12 step program. 1st step, Sarge pass the bone. Now when you're feelin' low And the fish won't bite You need a little bit o' soul To put you right You gotta make like you Wanna kneel and pray And then a little bit o' soul Will come your way Now when your girl has gone And you're broke in two You need a little bit o' soul To see you through And when you raise the roof With you rock and roll You'll get a lot more kicks With a little bit o' soul And if your party falls 'Cause there's nobody groovin' A little bit o' soul and It really starts movin', yeah! Now when you're in a mess And you feel like cryin' Just remember this little Song of mine And as you walk through life Tryin' to reach your goal Remember what I say 'bout A little bit o' soul And if your party falls 'Cause there's nobody groovin' A little bit o' soul and It really starts movin', yeah! A little bit o' soul A little bit o' soul A little bit o' soul Goodnight Daydreamers, Sarge and Merlin. Lesson #4 begins tomorrow... Sweet Dreams

You can have it after this... Had to do it cause it's true... Where would I be without you? (and I noticed the switcheroo) This is for the Original Dus Briver. AKA rrrgrrr Thank you for being a friend Traveled down the road and back again your heart is true you're a pal and a confidant I'm not ashamed to say I hope it always will stay this way My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow And if you threw a party Invited everyone you knew You would see, the biggest gift would be from me and the card attached would say, Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend If it's a car you lack I'd surely buy you a cadillac Whatever you need, anytime of the day or night I'm not ashamed to say I hope it always will stay this way My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow And when we both get older With walking canes and hair of gray Have no fear, even though it's hard to hear I will stand real close and say, Thank you for being a friend (I want to thank you) Thank you for being a friend (I want to thank you) Thank you for being a friend (I want to thank you) Thank you for being a friend (I want to thank you) Let me tell you about a friend (I want to thank you) Thank you for being a friend (I want to thank you) Thank you for being a friend (I want to thank you) Thank you for being a friend And when we die and float away Into the night, the Milky Way You'll hear me call, as we ascend I'll see you there, then once again Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend (I want to thank you) Thank you for being a friend (I want to thank you) Thank you for being a friend (I want to thank you) Thank you for being a friend Whoa, tell you about a friend (Thank you right now, for being a friend) Thank you for being a friend (I wanna tell you about a pal, and I'll tell you again) Thank you for being a friend (I wanna thank you, thank you, for being a friend) Thank you for being a friend

Can't get the last word in edgewise, can I? This is for you.....Ellie Mae..... Ain't no use to keep taking abuse From a friend who isn't kind A friend in need or a friend that you need Who can help you through the troubled times So reach on out and take a hold of my hand And let me know that your ready to go There ain't no dues and you can leave your blues behind And have a little peace peace of mind Give me some peace, Peace of Mind There comes a time when your friends go blind And thier words become diseased They threaten your life with the blade of a knife And set you down upon your needs Make no mistake for your very own sake Heres a little word for now Take off your shoes and let your thoughts be kind And have a little peace, peace of mind Peace Peace of Mind... make us feel better Some folks you find speak a mighty good line They charm you all the way They take you along on a sweet sweet song Then they steal your heart away But blessed be the one who can understand why People have to act that way Cause if I knew I wouldn't even want to say But have a little peace, peace of mind Give me some peace, Peace of Mind Everybody wants Peace, Peace of mind Peace Peace of mind All we need is some... Peace.

Good to get out....clears the cobwebs.....Don't you agree? This is the fourth time that this song appeared here, not for lack of creativity, but because it's is such a fucking awesome song..... Home is where I want to be Pick me up and turn me round I feel numb - born with a weak heart I guess I must be having fun The less we say about it the better Make it up as we go along Feet on the ground Head in the sky It's ok I know nothing's wrong... nothing Hi yo I got plenty of time Hi yo you got light in your eyes And you're standing here beside me I love the passing of time Never for money Always for love Cover up and say goodnight... say good night Home - is where I want to be But I guess I'm already there I come home - she lifted up her wings I guess that this must be the place I can't tell one from another Did I find you, or you find me? There was a time Before we were born If someone asks, this where I'll be... where I'll be Hi yo We drift in and out Hi yo Sing into my mouth Out of all those kinds of people You got a face with a view I'm just an animal looking for a home and, Share the same space for a minute or two And you love me till my heart stops Love me till I'm dead Eyes that light up, eyes look through you Cover up the blank spots Hit me on the head Ah ooh Good night Irene, Miami, Scranton PA and all the ships at sea.....

Hey Merlin, Arthur here...thanks for the lessons. The world gets to me... You poisoned my sweet water. You cut down my green trees. The food you fed my children Was the cause of their disease. My world is slowly fallin' down And the air's not good to breathe. And those of us who care enough, We have to do something... [Chorus:] Oh... Oh What you gonna do about me? Oh... Oh What you gonna do about me? Your newspapers, They just put you on. They never tell you The whole story. They just put your Young ideas down. I was wonderin' could this be the end Of your pride and glory? [Chorus:] I work in your factory. I study in your schools. I fill your penitentiaries. And your military too! And I feel the future trembling, As the word is passed around. "If you stand up for what you do believe, Be prepared to be shot down. " [Chorus:] And I feel like a stranger In the land where I was born And I live like an outlaw. And I'm always on the run... And I'm always getting busted And I got to take a stand... I believe the revolution Must be mighty close at hand... [Chorus:] I smoke marijuana But I can't get behind your wars. And most of what I do believe Is against most of your laws I'm a fugitive from injustice But I'm goin' to be free. 'Cause your rules and regulations They don't do the thing for me [Chorus:] And I feel like a stranger In the land where I was born And I live just like an outlaw. And I'm always on the run. And though you may be stronger now, my time will come around. You keep adding to my numbers, and you shoot my people down. [Chorus:] (3 times)

I had to go for a walk and get some air. The University proveds great green spaces as they recognize the human need for such. The trees in the breeze can usually make it ok. It has been too long since Matt and I went hiking, over a month now. It has been too hot and the woods are full of ticks and chiggers right now to even attempt it. I guess we will go to a local festival in September called Schwagstock, this is #46 for them. The schwag are a Dead tribute/cover band who do a really good job. The festival is at a river outfitter called Ozark outdoors. Also in September is the STL Cardinals Dead tribute night where you get a t-shirt with all the dates the Dead played in St. Louis. And on the front is a Stealie with the cardinals logo on it. Hopefully Dead and Co come to the Midwest. Maybe they will gain other members too... I started working in orthopedic oncology one year ago and I think it is starting to take its toll.

Yes, I agree Cabinet's good, I went to school with Jamie, the drummer. I have been seeing them for quite some time now. They also have their own festival Here on Montage Mt. in May, called the Susquehanna Breakdown. You should give it a whirl next spring. It's quite good! Like a Bluegrass festival feel to it. My daughter played at it the first two years representing Marley's Mission.I shot video of her as well as Cabinet's set and Terrapin Flyer's set last year, however, I haven't had a chance to synch the audio with the video yet. I know the Dead tickets aren't available yet, but that doesn't seem to bother the secondary market, as they already have them listed. I will try to obtain tickets for my family and keep Phil in my back pocket as plan B. I hope you are correct about the tour/ Wilkes Barre possibility. And Buffalo would be ideal for you. I did read where Bobby was quoted as saying it was late in the year to try to pull a tour together, but that's what they were going to try to do. I wonder how much will be East Coast?

Tix are not available yet and to my knowledge, aside from private boxes there which are licensed, the only presale will be AmEx on 8/10... I did hear a ticket limit of 4 though, so I would not guarantee 5 in a row....Mayer is not my fave either, but think he would fit the bill for the show....me thinks if they tour though as reported they will hit Wilkes Barre and Buffalo as prior dead tours did....they are markets that will sell out.... Enjoy Peach Fest.....was there in 2011 and had a mighty time....ABB, Mule, Trigger Hippy and TTB in particular...but Cabinet was outstanding as a newcomer.......

Stubhub already has the MSG tix listed for up to $5,000.00 each for 100 level. Holy smokes will it never end? I want to take my kids to this one as it is only a 2+ hour drive from home and my daughter specifically asked me to go, but that means 5 tickets together. I already have a pair of Phil tix for Halloween and the night before, so I thought about selling the Halloween tix and buying MSG for the entire family, and maybe just Jill and I going to Phil on the 30th. I hope I can get 5 MSG tickets together. I'm not a John Mayer fan and would actually rather see Phil, however my daughter heard about the show and asked me to take her. As she put it "John Mayer is my future husband, he just doesn't know it yet." Ahhh Teenagers,..I can hardly take her and not my two boys. I'm not looking forward to the spinning wheels and que's again!!!! Thanks for letting me vent. Sorry I've been out of touch as of late, just busy trying to get back to reality and now it appears I may be in for another dose of Hilarity! Good luck to any and all who may be trying to get tickets. Until then if anyone from the spreadsheet is going to Peachfest next weekend in Scranton, Pa. drop me a line. There's a few nice deals on tickets for that on Cashortrade.org. All my contact info is on the SSDD Spread. Love you guys and gals.

Now on K DED a dedication, our own Kristine has offered for Stanley to take the wheel whilst I kick back..... Ok Stanley, keep your emerald eyes on the road and paws upon the wheel.... Pupper...some driving music please..... Riding along in my automobile My baby beside me at the wheel I stole a kiss at the turn of a mile My curiosity running wild Crusin' and playin' the radio With no particular place to go Riding along in my automobile I's anxious to tell her the way I feel So I told her softly and sincere And she leaned and whispered in my ear Cuddlin' more and drivin' slow With no particular place to go No particular place to go So we parked way out on ko-ko-mo The night was young and the moon was gold So we both decided to take a stroll Can you image the way I felt I couldn't unfasten her safety belt Riding along in my calaboose Still trying to get her belt a-loose All the way home I held a grudge For the safety belt that wouldn't budge Crusin' and playing the radio With no mother f@cking place to go....... Night kids...... Sarge keep an eye on Stanley, he's new to this..... rrrrrrgrrrrrrr waaayyyyyy out!

Morning campers..... Happy hump day... to all coffee is on...we are all safe.... Stanley, glad we could count on you for a spell.... Sarge you can play the harmonica on this one.... It doesn't matter what I say So long as I sing with inflection That makes you feel I'll convey Some inner truth or vast reflection But I've said nothing so far And I can keep it up for as long as it takes And it don't matter who you are If I'm doing my job then it's your resolve that breaks Because the Hook brings you back I ain't tellin' you no lie The Hook brings you back On that you can rely There is something amiss I am being insincere In fact I don't mean any of this Still my confession draws you near To confuse the issue I refer To familiar heroes from long ago No matter how much Peter loved her What made the Pan refuse to grow Was that the Hook brings you back I ain't tellin' you no lie The Hook brings you back On that you can rely Suck it in suck it in suck it in If you're Rin Tin Tin or Anne Boleyn Make a desperate move or else you'll win And then begin To see What you're doing to me this MTV is not for free It's so PC it's killing me So desperately I sing to thee Of love Sure but also of rage and hate and pain and fear of self And I can't keep these feelings on the shelf I've tried well no in fact I lied Could be financial suicide but I've got too much pride inside To hide or slide I'll do as I'll decide and let it ride until I've died And only then shall I abide this tide Of catchy little tunes Of hip three minute diddys I wanna bust all your balloons I wanna burn all your cities to the ground I've found I will not mess around Unless I play then hey I will go on all day. Hear what I say I have a prayer to pray That's really all this was And when I'm feeling stuck and need a buck I don't rely on luck because The Hook brings you back I ain't tellin' you no lie The Hook... On that you can rely And that's my home where dreams are born, And time is never planned. Just think of lovely things. And your heart will fly on wings, Forever in Never Never Land .....I hear they have tickets there..... ......Mr. Sulu, second star to the right, please....

Well, hold on this song has a little introduction to itIt ain't supposed to be sad though you might feel it that way It's a song about desperation Every now and then we do get desperate This is a song about L O V E and if you abuse it you're gonn' lose it And if you lose it you're gonn' 'buse and if you 'buse it You ain't gonn' be able to choose it 'Cuz you ain't gonn' have it further on down the line Things ain't gonn' be so fine, you're gonn' to be sitting there On your little machine tryin' to look and keep it clean And you're going to be playin' bingo all night all alone And that's why your sittin' there by the telephone And you know that she aint goin to call you So you put on the TV and you're watchin' Johnny Carson Segueing right into the 'Tomorrow Show' but that don't got the go So you turn it off and turn on the radio The radio don't' seem to get the click so you say "Hey man, I can't lickety split" You start to open up a little book And there's somethin' there you got to overlook And you say "Baby, you know there's somethin' on my mind" You say, "Baby there's somethin' on my mind I know that you're home and I know you ain't all alone" So you start walkin' over to her house You get over to her house, you walk over to her door You start poundin' on her door and you say "Open up the door bitch This is Wooba Gooba with the green teeth, let me in" Well, she opens up the door And then you just kinda walk up to her and say, "Baby" You look up way up at her green mascara And you say "Oh my darlin', you know her and me Was at the party as friends, do not believe what they say That's only gossip that they tellin' you down the wise crack of lies" You say darlin', "Take your big curls And just squeeze 'em down Ratumba What's the name of that chick with the long hair? Rapunzel Hey Rapunzel, hey Reputa, hey Reputa, Reputa the Buta Hey Reputa the Beautah flip me down your hair And let me climb up the ladder of your love Because this is the Wooba Gooba sayin' to ya "Love comes once and when it comes You better grab it fast 'cuz sometimes the love You grab ain't gonn' last and I believe I musta You know I think I musta, you know, baby, I think I musta You know I think I musta, I musta got lost lunch time....

now on K DED a song of overcoming oppression by the man.... Sarge get them natty dreads outta your eyes...oh that's Eddie? Ed get off Puppers head....hit G8..... Well, they tell me of a pie up in the sky Waiting for me when I die But between the day you're born and when you die They never seem to hear even your cry So as sure as the sun will shine I'm gonna get my share now, what's mine And then the harder they come The harder they fall, one and all Ooh, the harder they come The harder they fall, one and all Well, the oppressors are trying to keep me down Trying to drive me underground And they think that they have got the battle won I say forgive them Lord, they know not what they've done 'Cause, as sure as the sun will shine I'm gonna get my share now, what's mine And then the harder they come The harder they fall, one and all Ooh, the harder they come Harder they fall, one and all And I keep on fighting for the things I want Though I know that when you're dead you can't But I'd rather be a free man in my grave Than living as a puppet or a slave So as sure as the sun will shine I'm gonna get my share now, what's mine And then the harder they come The harder they fall, one and all Ooh, the harder they come Harder they fall, one and all Hey, the harder they come Harder they fall, one and all What I say now What I Say now lunch time at the mines....make mine red stripe....irie....pass dat dutchy....left hand side if you please.....

SDrs: I saw the email storm about the email storm. I am not on FB, snapchat, instagram, twitter or any of the social media platforms. I just don't have the time nor inclination...and sort of worried if I got on board with all that stuff, I'd overdo it and spend time I don't have on it. My kids tell me I'm a dinosaur by the way. ANYWAY...I move we use this forum and/or the website for mass communication....although someone will have to remind me where our website is. I thought I saved it but did not. If others want to use FB, by all means, do so. Just be aware that many of us won't see some of the stuff you may want us to see. I don't usually hop in the conversations here, but at least glance at what's going on on regular basis, so I'll catch anything important.

...that FB would not be accepted by some. Anti-social media is almost as popular as social media. Hate to break to y'all, but you are on a form of social media right now. I get it, though, I was and sort of still am anti-social media. I only got on FB a while back because I was trying to find an old friend. And I did not put any real personal info on there and my username is an alias. I mostly only use it to keep myself informed of info that I cannot get anywhere else. I don't tweet either and plan to never get a twitter acct. But to each his own, can't force people to use what they are uncomfortable with. I totally understand people's feelings regarding FB.

Quit it 2 years ago. rejoined recently to find tickets and keep in touch with Chicago events. Oh that didn't work out well for Zane Kesey either. Point being, I have not accepted a single friend request and don't plan to. FB is not real interaction, although 3 times I actually did hook with old friends and meet up with them when in town. What happens after Chicago? I dunno, but I don't need FB to provide the answers. My nickel for what its worth. I must have deleted the email thread or not read it. If email went away, I'd be fine. Feel free to email me one on one though.

Everyone let's quiet down around the FB. Consider it off the table* Mostly what is being suggested is what we are already doing - but better. (And dare I say - what I suggested and tried to implement in March for foresight of this very day.) 1) An email group that won't clog and overwhelm your inbox, or 2) a private forum for the same exact purpose we use email for, but with better manifestation, organization, and interface. My email fears have come true. Alas... my cat herding days are over, so I'll just be here in the corner muttering to myself as I try to find the links from James and Totem and the picture from Tami. At least, I've got the pizzas straight. LOVEloveLOVEloveLOVElove StellaI'mNotAlwaysRightButSometimesIReallyAmMoon. *for those of us social-media types, by all means, we ought to have a little satellite spot on fb for laughs and giggles. You can also follow me on Instagram and Twitter if you're into all that. xoxo.

It's a buck dancer's choice my friend, better take my advice You know all the rules by now, and the fire from the ice Will you come with me, won't you come with me? Wo-oh, what I want to know, will you come with me? God damn, well I declare, have you seen the like? Their walls are built of cannon balls Their motto is "don't" tread on me" Come hear Uncle John's Band, playing to the tide Come with me or go alone He's come to take his children home It's the same story the crow told me, it's the only one he knows Like the morning sun you come and like the wind you go Ain't no time to hate, barely time to wait Wo-oh, what I want to know, where does the time go? I live in a silver mine and I call it beggar's tomb I got me a violin and I beg you call the tune Anybody's choice, I can hear your voice Wo-oh, what I want to know, how does the song go?

Both, I hear tell, are of the highest caliber....music, music, music and more music...let there be songs to fill the air indeed. And we also have a gathering of family and friends and friends we haven't met yet with either roses or begonias or bells or rings or you name it...and perhaps a smile or two too...bop bop be buzz bop. Hi my name is mine and yours is yours, and glad we meet finally. One of the nice parts of the ride is the evening, when rjjrrjjrr pulls over and sets those air-brakes with a wooshhh. The ritual rolling down of the windows and stretching and knee bends are just perfect after a long day's ride. There will be time ahead where we pull the all-nighter, but methinks they are still a bit off in the future. For now, as the dusk settles with the crisp air stand up and lean out and breath it all in. The sunset sure was magnificent huh. The way it painted the sky after dropping below those pines. Someone oughta write a song. Listen...shhhh...over in the distance hear that rumble? It's the bull frogs warming up. And out over the pond in that direction, the crickets are going at it by the rocks, and just in the fading light you can see the bats doing a number on the bugs. Yup, the night air smells mighty fine, the stars are starting to do there twinkling. And look at those fireflies darting everywhere. The pond is a beckoning...last one in does the dishes...

Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air And deep beneath the rolling waves in labyrinths of coral caves The echo of a distant tide Comes willowing across the sand And everything is green and submarine And no one showed us to the land And no one knows the where's or why's But something stirs and something tries And starts to climb towards the light Strangers passing in the street By chance two separate glances meet And I am you and what I see is me And do I take you by the hand And lead you through the land And help me understand the best I can And no one calls us to move on And no one forces down our eyes No one speaks And no one tries No one flies around the sun Cloudless every day you fall upon my waking eyes Inviting and inciting me to rise And through the window in the wall Come streaming in on sunlight wings A million bright ambassadors of morning And no one sings me lullabies And no one makes me close my eyes So I throw the windows wide And call to you across the sky.
