I wish I knew how It would feel to be free I wish I could break All the chains holding me I wish I could say All the things that I should to say Say 'em loud say 'em clear For the whole round world to hear I wish I could share All the love that's in my heart Remove all the bars That keep us apart I wish you could know What it means to be me Then you'd see and agree Everyone should be free I wish I could give All I'm longin' to give I wish I could live Like I'm longin' to live I wish I could do All the things that I can do Though I'm way overdue I'd be starting anew. I wish I could be like a bird in the sky How sweet it would be If I found out I could fly I'd soar to the sun And look down at the sea And I sing 'cause I know Everyone should be free..... I can hardly remeber where I was before I got on da dus... Remember when the days were long And rolled beneath a deep blue sky Didn't have a care in the world With mommy and daddy standin' by But "happily ever after" fails And we've been poisoned by these fairy tales The lawyers dwell on small details Since daddy had to fly But I know a place where we can go That's still untouched by men We'll sit and watch the clouds roll by And the tall grass wave in the wind You can lay your head back on the ground And let your hair fall all around me Offer up your best defense But this is the end This is the end of the innocence O' beautiful, for spacious skies But now those skies are threatening They're beating plowshares into swords For this tired old man that we elected king Armchair warriors often fail And we've been poisoned by these fairy tales The lawyers clean up all details Since daddy had to lie But I know a place where we can go And wash away this sin We'll sit and watch the clouds roll by And the tall grass wave in the wind Just lay your head back on the ground And let your hair spill all around me Offer up your best defense But this is the end This is the end of the innocence Who knows how long this will last Now we've come so far, so fast But, somewhere back there in the dust That same small town in each of us I need to remember this So baby give me just one kiss And let me take a long last look Before we say goodbye Just lay your head back on the ground And let your hair fall all around me Offer up your best defense But this is the end This is the end of the innocence

Miami you are good people...great sense of humor.....and for sure an old soul.....got music down and quick on the draw....That was the dog talking.... On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim I had to stop for the night There she stood in the doorway; I heard the mission bell And I was thinking to myself, "This could be Heaven or this could be Hell" Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way There were voices down the corridor, I thought I heard them say... Welcome to the Hotel California Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place) Such a lovely face Plenty of room at the Hotel California Any time of year (Any time of year) You can find it here Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes bends She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys she calls friends How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat. Some dance to remember, some dance to forget So I called up the Captain, "Please bring me my wine" He said, "We haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine" And still those voices are calling from far away, Wake you up in the middle of the night Just to hear them say... Welcome to the Hotel California Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place) Such a lovely face They livin' it up at the Hotel California What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise) Bring your alibis Mirrors on the ceiling, The pink champagne on ice And she said "We are all just prisoners here, of our own device" And in the master's chambers, They gathered for the feast They stab it with their steely knives, But they just can't kill the beast Last thing I remember, I was Running for the door I had to find the passage back To the place I was before "Relax, " said the night man, "We are programmed to receive. You can check-out any time you like, But you can never leave! " At least we are still on ba dus....

Roll On Reach a hand to the crescent moon grab hold of the hollow If she sits in the palm of the left that moon will be fuller tomorrow If she sits in the palm of the right that moon is on the wane and the love of the one who shares your bed will be doing just the same 'Won't you come with me', she said, 'there's plenty of room in my iron bed You're looking cold and tired and more than a little human I know I'm not part of the life you had planned, but I think once your body feels my hand your mind will change and your heart will lose its pain' Out among the fields gently hipped beneath the corn, Assiniboine bones beneath the highway he stood there and he thought of home A finger traces the path of a satellite You're drawn to a distant copse of trees A voice as sweet as Mare's Tail clings to the prairie breeze 'Won't you come with me', she said, 'there's plenty of room in my iron bed You're looking cold and tired and more than a little human I know I'm not part of the life you had planned, but I think once your body feels my hand your mind will change and your heart will lose its pain' Do I reach for you when I know you're on the wane? Do I sense you when I know you're not around? Do I search for you when I know you can't be found? Do I dare to speak your name? Raise your eyes to a moonless sky and try to wish upon a rising star Search all you want for her blessing but you won't find her sparkling there Now cast your eyes to a part of the sky where nothing but darkness unfolds and watch as all around you she reveals the brilliance of secrets untold Won't you come with me, she said, there's plenty of room in my iron bed You're looking cold and tired and more than a little human I know I'm not part of the life you had planned, but I think once your body feels my hand your mind will change and your heart will lose its pain

I'm a roaming cowboy riding all day long, Tumbleweeds around me sing their lonely song. Nights underneath the prairie moon, I ride along and sing this tune. See them tumbling down Pledging their love to the ground Lonely but free I'll be found Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds. Cares of the past are behind Nowhere to go but I'll find Just where the trail will wind Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds. I know when night has gone That a new world's born at dawn. I'll keep rolling along Deep in my heart is a song Here on the range I belong Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds. the Dude abides.....

Ain't no someone yearnin', wonderin' where I be; I'm gone, but no one's missin' me; Ain't no light a-burnin' ev'ry night for me; I'm like a bird that's flyin' free. (Melody:) I'm just breezin' along with the breeze, Trailin' the rails, roamin' the seas. Like the birdies that sing in the trees, Pleasin' to live, livin' to please. (Bridge:) The sky is the only roof I have over my head; And when I'm weary, Mother Nature makes my bed. I'm just goin' along as I please, Breezin' along with the breeze.

I suspect that 1) will be the hardest for people to get (a deep track and non-hit). But the rest of them were radio-played songs at some point. Oh well, non one wants to play trivia games anymore, it's just too trivial... It appears that most of us are blogged and e-mailed out, i.e. e-overloaded. No matter, SC coming up and nothing left do but... :-) ;-) :-D

Coffee is on, By the looks of things Mr. Mayor was up the better part of the night.... Take the wheel Sarge....I'm diggin Uncle Q..... Remember last summer when we had the chance To find each other, start making romance But it didn't come off because you found another Without one hand of a clock, what good is the other? And I can't find no true love, oh baby, it's so hard And I still think about you every time I'm riding in my car So I went to the place where everybody hangs out To see what everybody was talking about And over in a corner all alone with you Was a boy from last summer singing songs to you And he can't sing like I can sing, oh, it's so hard And I still think about you every time I'm riding in my car When I'm home alone I can think of other things to do But when I'm rolling in forward motion I think about only you It's been a year and a day since I talked to you I don't know how I made it, but I sure have been blue And every time I think about what might have been I jump in my car and start riding again And I can't find no true love, oh baby, it's so hard And I still think about you every time I'm riding in my car

Seems I got to have a change of scene cuz every night I have the strangest dream.... I woke up this morning with a feeling of despair I looked for my pussy but my pussy wasn't there Well, well, well My cat fell in the well Oh puss puss puss poor kitty kitty kitty My cat fell in the well I got out a ladder and I climbed down to my pet I saw in a jiffy that my puss was soakin' wet Well, well, well My cat fell in the well Oh puss puss puss poor kitty kitty kitty My cat fell in the well The doggone hole by the pump Was she pushed, or did she jumped? There never was a kitty half as pretty As the pussy that fell in the well There never was a pussy that could quite compare with her Pretty as a picture with her long and silky fur - Well, well, well, well my cat fell in the well, well Oh oh oh pussy pussy pussy poor kitty kitty kitty My cat fell in the well If you have a pussy that you wouldn't trade or sell Never let her wander or she might fall in a well Well, well, well My cat fell in the well Oh puss puss puss poor kitty kitty kitty My cat fell in the well Fell in the - well! Sorry...just had to sing that one....

When you're driving down the highway at night And you're feelin' that wild turkey's bite Don't give Johnny Walker a ride Cause Jack Black is right by your side You might get taken to the jailhouse and find You've been arrested for driving while blind Now just the other night with nothin' to do We broke a case of proof 102 And started itchin' for that wonderful feel Of rollin' in an automobile You could say we was out of our mind And let me tell you we were flyin' while blind Then they had us up against the wall Hey it's only blood grain alcohol And there ain't no cause for alarm We ain't out to do nobody no harm How could anyone be so unkind To arrest a man for drivin' while blind Don't try this at home, your mileage may vary.....

was i out of my mind...? - sister was singing as she was getting ready for work yesterday or the day before. I was all "why are you singing Fastball?" So random. So. Quick hello - as requested - from the back of the bus. I am too excited to not have extreme ADD right now - and running around polishing all of the rails - of which this bus has many for not being a boat (?). Keep the tunes coming folx. I do love a good singalong. See all of you soon, and some of you sooner! xo S

Quitting time sing a long here in da Buff.... Everyone raise their steins, mugs, rugs, puppers n pugs.... sarge...on 3..... 1 and a 2 and a 3...... Now I'm a union man Amazed at what I am I say what I think, that the company stinks Yes I'm a union man When we meet in the local hall I'll be voting with them all With a hell of a shout, it's "Out brothers, out!" And the rise of the factory's fall Oh, you don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union Til the day I die Til the day I die Us union men are wise To the lies of the company spies And I don't get fooled by the factory rules 'Cause I always read between the lines And I always get my way If I strike for higher pay When I show my card to the Scotland Yard And this is what I say: Oh, oh, you don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union Til the day I die Til the day I die Before the union did appear My life was half as clear Now I've got the power to the working hour And every other day of the year So though I'm a working man I can ruin the government's plan And though I'm not hard, the sight of my card Makes me some kind of superman Oh, oh, oh, you don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union Til the day I die Til the day I die You don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union Til the day I die Til the day I die wunnerful wunnerful.....

It's always good to stay in sync with the Moons. ;-) Anyone can see the road that they walk on is paved with gold It's always summer they'll never get cold They'll never get hungry, they'll never get old and gray You can see their shadows wandering off somewhere They (will) make it home but (till then) they really don't care They wanted the highway, they're happier there today, today. That's my more positive spin on the Way to Santa Clara and Chicago.

This train is bound for glory, this train. This train is bound for glory, this train. This train is bound for glory, Don't carry nothing but the righteous and the holy. This train is bound for glory, this train. This train don't carry no gamblers, this train; This train don't carry no gamblers, this train; This train don't carry no gamblers, Liars, thieves, nor big shot ramblers, This train is bound for glory, this train. This train don't carry no liars, this train; This train don't carry no liars, this train; This train don't carry no liars, She's streamlined and a midnight flyer, This train don't carry no liars, this train. This train don't carry no smokers, this train; This train don't carry no smokers, this train This train don't carry no smokers, Two bit liars, small time jokers, This train don't carry no smokers, this train. This train don't carry no con men, this train; This train don't carry no con men, this train; This train don't carry no con men, No wheeler dealers, here and gone men, This train don't carry no con men, this train. This train don't carry no rustlers, this train; This train don't carry no rustlers, this train; This train don't carry no rustlers, Sidestreet walkers, two bit hustlers, This train is bound for glory, this train. The other was rgr's nod to Cash & Carter Family's "There'll be Peace in the Valley". My daddy used to sing both of these songs to me; he had a beautiful baritone voice - very Johnny-Cash. Miss that old man.

Grab your ticket and your suitcaseThunder’s rollin’ down this track Well, you don’t know where you’re goin’ now But you know you won’t be back Well, darlin’ if you’re weary Lay your head upon my chest We’ll take what we can carry Yeah, and we’ll leave the rest Big wheels roll through fields Where sunlight streams Meet me in a land of hope and dreams Well, I will provide for you And I’ll stand by your side You’ll need a good companion now For this part of the ride Leave behind your sorrows Let this day be the last Tomorrow there’ll be sunshine And all this darkness past Big wheels roll through fields Where sunlight streams Oh meet me in a land of hope and dreams This train... Carries saints and sinners This train... Carries losers and winners This train... Carries whores and gamblers This train... Carries lost souls I said this train... Dreams will not be thwarted This train... Faith will be rewarded Just roll with it...my aim is true....And I really still miss Jerry! Stanley take the wheel....apologies to Carrie Underwood....

Spanish Johnny drove in from the underworld last nightWith bruised arms and broken rhythm and a beat-up old Buick but dressed just like dynamite He tried sellin' his heart to the hard girls over on Easy Street But they said, "Johnny, it falls apart so easily, and you know hearts these days are cheap" And the pimps swung their axes and said, "Johnny, you're a cheater" And the pimps swung their axes and said, "Johnny, you're a liar" And from out of the shadows came a young girl's voice, said, "Johnny, don't cry" Puerto Rican Jane, oh, won't you tell me, what's your name? I want to drive you down to the other side of town Where paradise ain't so crowded and there'll be action goin' down on Shanty Lane tonight All the golden-heeled fairies in a real bitch-fight Pull .38's and kiss their girls goodnight Goodnight, it's alright, Jane Now let them black boys in to light the soul flame We may find it out on the street tonight, baby Or we may walk until the daylight, maybe Well, like a cool Romeo he made his moves, oh, she looked so fine Like a late Juliet, she knew he'd never be true but then, she really didn't mind Upstairs a band was playin' and the singer was singin' something about going home She whispered, "Spanish Johnny, you can leave me tonight, but just don't leave me alone" And Johnny cried, "Puerto Rican Jane, word is down, the cops have found the vein" Them barefoot boys left their homes for the woods Them little barefoot street boys, they said their homes ain't no good They left the corners, threw away their switchblade knives and kissed each other goodbye Johnny was sittin' on the fire escape, watchin' the kids playin' down the street He called down, "Hey little heroes, summer's long, but I guess it ain't very sweet around here anymore" Janey sleeps in sheets damp with sweat Johnny sits up alone and watches her dream on, dream on And the sister prays for lost souls, then breaks down in the chapel after everyone's gone Jane moves over to share her pillow but opens her eyes to see Johnny up and putting his clothes on She says, "Those romantic young boys, all they ever want to do is fight Those romantic young boys, they're callin' through the window Hey, Spanish Johnny, you want to make a little easy money tonight?" And Johnny whispered, "Goodnight, it's all tight, Jane I'll meet you tomorrow night on Lover's Lane We may find it out on the street tonight, now, baby Or we may walk until the daylight, maybe" Goodnight, it's alright, Jane I'm gonna meet you tomorrow night on Lover's Lane We can find it out on the street tonight, now, baby Or we may walk until the daylight, maybe
