Headed down the street after work for a Happy Hour with my co-workers. Going to a Vodka Bar called Subzero. They have a bar made of ice like a hockey rink to keep your drink ice cold. Party time in 25 minutes Wanna tell you a story, About the house-man blues I come home one Friday, Had to tell the landlady I done lost my job She said that don't confront me, Long as I get my money next Friday Now next Friday come I didn't get the rent, And out the door I went So I goes to the landlady, I said, "You let me slide?" I'll have the rent for you tomorrow Or the next day I don't know So said let me slide it on you know people, I notice when I come home in the evening She ain't got nothing nice to say to me, But for five year she was so nice Lord she was lovey-dovey, I come home one particular evening The landlady said, "You got the rent money yet?", I said, "No, can't find no job, Therefore I ain't got no money to pay the rent" She said "I don't believe you're tryin' to find no job" Said "I seen you today you was standin' on a corner, Leaning up against a post" I said "But I'm tired, I've been walkin' all day" She said "That don't confront me, Long as I get my money next Friday" Now next Friday come I didn't have the rent, And out the door I went So I go down the streets, Down to my good friend's house I said "Look man I'm outdoors you know, Can I stay with you maybe a couple days?" He said "Uh, let me go and ask my wife" He come out of the house, I could see it in his face I know that was no He said "I don't know man, ah she kinda funny, you know" I said "I know, everybody funny, now you funny too" So I go back home I tell the landlady I got a job, I'm gonna pay the rent She said "Yeah?" I said "Oh yeah" And then she was so nice, Lord, she was lovey-dovey So I go in my room, pack up my things and I go, I slip on out the back door and down the streets I go She a-howlin' about the front rent, she'll be lucky to get any back rent, She ain't gonna get none of it So I stop in the local bar you know people, I go to the bar, I ring my coat, I call the bartender Said "Look man, come down here", he got down there So what you want? One bourbon, one scotch, one beer Well I ain't seen my baby since I don't know when, I've been drinking bourbon, whiskey, scotch and gin Gonna get high man, I'm gonna get loose, Need me a triple shot of that juice Gonna get drunk, don't you have no fear I want one bourbon, one scotch and one beer One bourbon, one scotch, one beer But I'm sitting now at the bar, I'm getting drunk, I'm feelin' mellow I'm drinkin' bourbon, I'm drinkin' scotch, I'm drinkin' beer Looked down the bar, here come the bartender I said "Look man, come down here" So what you want? One bourbon, one scotch, one beer No, I ain't seen my baby since the night before last, Gotta get a drink man, I'm gonna get gassed Gonna get high man, I ain't had enough, Need me a triple shot of that stuff Gonna get drunk, won't you listen right here, I want one bourbon, one shot and one beer One bourbon, one scotch, one beer Now by this time I'm plenty high, You know when your mouth a-getting dry you're plenty high Looked down the bar I say to my bartender I said "Look man, come down here", he got down there So what you want this time? I said "Look man, a-what time is it?" He said "The clock on the wall say three o'clock. Last call for alcohol, so what you need?" One bourbon, one scotch, one beer No, I ain't seen my baby since a nigh' on a week, Gotta get drunk man, so I can't even speak Gonna get high man, listen to me, One drink ain't enough Jack, you better make it three I wanna get drunk, I'm gonna make it real clear, I want one bourbon, one scotch and one beer One bourbon, one scotch, one beer

Goodnight Irene, Goodnight Miami, Goodnight Geeky!!!!! Cya on the flip side ...... Well this gigolo's jumping salty, ain't no trade out on the streets, Half past the unlucky, and the hawk's a front-row seat Dressed in full orchestration, stage-door Johnny's got to pay, And sent him home talking 'bout the one that got away Could have been on Easy Street, could have been a wheel, With irons in the fire and all them business deals But the last of the big-time losers shouted before he drove away, "I'll be right back, as soon as I crack the one that got away" Well, the ambulance drivers, they don't give a shit, They just want to get off work, and The short stop and the victim are already gone berserk And the shroud-tailor measures him for a deep-six holiday, The stiff is froze, the case is closed on the one that got away Now Jim Crow's directing traffic with them cemetery blues, With them peculiar-looking trousers, them old Italian shoes And a wooden kimono that was all ready to drop in San Francisco Bay But he's mumbling something all about the one that got away And Costello was the champion at the St. Moritz Hotel, And the best this side of Fairfax, reliable sources tell But his reputation is at large, and he's at Ben Frank's every day, Waiting for the one that got away He got a snakeskin sportshirt, and he looks like Vincent Price, With a little piece of chicken, and he's carving off a slice Someone tipped her off, and she'll be doing a Houdini now any day She shook his hustle, and a Greyhound bus'll take the one that got away Well, Andre's at the piano behind the Ivar in the sewers, With a buck a shot for pop tunes, and a fin for guided tours He could-a been in "Casa Blanca", he stood in line out there all day Now he's spilling whiskey and learning songs about a one that got away Well I've lost my equilibrium and my car keys and my pride, The tattoo parlor's warm, and so I hustle there inside And the grinding off the buzz-saw, "What you want that thing to say?" I says, "Just don't misspell her name, buddy, she's the one that got away"

I suspect that 1) will be the hardest for people to get (a deep track and non-hit). But the rest of them were radio-played songs at some point. Oh well, non one wants to play trivia games anymore, it's just too trivial... It appears that most of us are blogged and e-mailed out, i.e. e-overloaded. No matter, SC coming up and nothing left do but... :-) ;-) :-D

Coffee is on, By the looks of things Mr. Mayor was up the better part of the night.... Take the wheel Sarge....I'm diggin Uncle Q..... Remember last summer when we had the chance To find each other, start making romance But it didn't come off because you found another Without one hand of a clock, what good is the other? And I can't find no true love, oh baby, it's so hard And I still think about you every time I'm riding in my car So I went to the place where everybody hangs out To see what everybody was talking about And over in a corner all alone with you Was a boy from last summer singing songs to you And he can't sing like I can sing, oh, it's so hard And I still think about you every time I'm riding in my car When I'm home alone I can think of other things to do But when I'm rolling in forward motion I think about only you It's been a year and a day since I talked to you I don't know how I made it, but I sure have been blue And every time I think about what might have been I jump in my car and start riding again And I can't find no true love, oh baby, it's so hard And I still think about you every time I'm riding in my car

Seems I got to have a change of scene cuz every night I have the strangest dream.... I woke up this morning with a feeling of despair I looked for my pussy but my pussy wasn't there Well, well, well My cat fell in the well Oh puss puss puss poor kitty kitty kitty My cat fell in the well I got out a ladder and I climbed down to my pet I saw in a jiffy that my puss was soakin' wet Well, well, well My cat fell in the well Oh puss puss puss poor kitty kitty kitty My cat fell in the well The doggone hole by the pump Was she pushed, or did she jumped? There never was a kitty half as pretty As the pussy that fell in the well There never was a pussy that could quite compare with her Pretty as a picture with her long and silky fur - Well, well, well, well my cat fell in the well, well Oh oh oh pussy pussy pussy poor kitty kitty kitty My cat fell in the well If you have a pussy that you wouldn't trade or sell Never let her wander or she might fall in a well Well, well, well My cat fell in the well Oh puss puss puss poor kitty kitty kitty My cat fell in the well Fell in the - well! Sorry...just had to sing that one....

Now on K DED going out to Reno by special request..... When you're driving down the highway at night And you're feelin' that wild turkey's bite Don't give Johnny Walker a ride Cause Jack Black is right by your side You might get taken to the jailhouse and find You've been arrested for driving while blind Now just the other night with nothin' to do We broke a case of proof 102 And started itchin' for that wonderful feel Of rollin' in an automobile You could say we was out of our mind And let me tell you we were flyin' while blind Then they had us up against the wall Hey it's only blood grain alcohol And there ain't no cause for alarm We ain't out to do nobody no harm How could anyone be so unkind To arrest a man for drivin' while blind Don't try this at home, your mileage may vary.....

was i out of my mind...? - sister was singing as she was getting ready for work yesterday or the day before. I was all "why are you singing Fastball?" So random. So. Quick hello - as requested - from the back of the bus. I am too excited to not have extreme ADD right now - and running around polishing all of the rails - of which this bus has many for not being a boat (?). Keep the tunes coming folx. I do love a good singalong. See all of you soon, and some of you sooner! xo S

Quitting time sing a long here in da Buff.... Everyone raise their steins, mugs, rugs, puppers n pugs.... sarge...on 3..... 1 and a 2 and a 3...... Now I'm a union man Amazed at what I am I say what I think, that the company stinks Yes I'm a union man When we meet in the local hall I'll be voting with them all With a hell of a shout, it's "Out brothers, out!" And the rise of the factory's fall Oh, you don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union Til the day I die Til the day I die Us union men are wise To the lies of the company spies And I don't get fooled by the factory rules 'Cause I always read between the lines And I always get my way If I strike for higher pay When I show my card to the Scotland Yard And this is what I say: Oh, oh, you don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union Til the day I die Til the day I die Before the union did appear My life was half as clear Now I've got the power to the working hour And every other day of the year So though I'm a working man I can ruin the government's plan And though I'm not hard, the sight of my card Makes me some kind of superman Oh, oh, oh, you don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union Til the day I die Til the day I die You don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union You don't get me, I'm part of the union Til the day I die Til the day I die wunnerful wunnerful.....

It's always good to stay in sync with the Moons. ;-) Anyone can see the road that they walk on is paved with gold It's always summer they'll never get cold They'll never get hungry, they'll never get old and gray You can see their shadows wandering off somewhere They (will) make it home but (till then) they really don't care They wanted the highway, they're happier there today, today. That's my more positive spin on the Way to Santa Clara and Chicago.

This train is bound for glory, this train. This train is bound for glory, this train. This train is bound for glory, Don't carry nothing but the righteous and the holy. This train is bound for glory, this train. This train don't carry no gamblers, this train; This train don't carry no gamblers, this train; This train don't carry no gamblers, Liars, thieves, nor big shot ramblers, This train is bound for glory, this train. This train don't carry no liars, this train; This train don't carry no liars, this train; This train don't carry no liars, She's streamlined and a midnight flyer, This train don't carry no liars, this train. This train don't carry no smokers, this train; This train don't carry no smokers, this train This train don't carry no smokers, Two bit liars, small time jokers, This train don't carry no smokers, this train. This train don't carry no con men, this train; This train don't carry no con men, this train; This train don't carry no con men, No wheeler dealers, here and gone men, This train don't carry no con men, this train. This train don't carry no rustlers, this train; This train don't carry no rustlers, this train; This train don't carry no rustlers, Sidestreet walkers, two bit hustlers, This train is bound for glory, this train. The other was rgr's nod to Cash & Carter Family's "There'll be Peace in the Valley". My daddy used to sing both of these songs to me; he had a beautiful baritone voice - very Johnny-Cash. Miss that old man.

Grab your ticket and your suitcaseThunder’s rollin’ down this track Well, you don’t know where you’re goin’ now But you know you won’t be back Well, darlin’ if you’re weary Lay your head upon my chest We’ll take what we can carry Yeah, and we’ll leave the rest Big wheels roll through fields Where sunlight streams Meet me in a land of hope and dreams Well, I will provide for you And I’ll stand by your side You’ll need a good companion now For this part of the ride Leave behind your sorrows Let this day be the last Tomorrow there’ll be sunshine And all this darkness past Big wheels roll through fields Where sunlight streams Oh meet me in a land of hope and dreams This train... Carries saints and sinners This train... Carries losers and winners This train... Carries whores and gamblers This train... Carries lost souls I said this train... Dreams will not be thwarted This train... Faith will be rewarded Just roll with it...my aim is true....And I really still miss Jerry! Stanley take the wheel....apologies to Carrie Underwood....

Spanish Johnny drove in from the underworld last nightWith bruised arms and broken rhythm and a beat-up old Buick but dressed just like dynamite He tried sellin' his heart to the hard girls over on Easy Street But they said, "Johnny, it falls apart so easily, and you know hearts these days are cheap" And the pimps swung their axes and said, "Johnny, you're a cheater" And the pimps swung their axes and said, "Johnny, you're a liar" And from out of the shadows came a young girl's voice, said, "Johnny, don't cry" Puerto Rican Jane, oh, won't you tell me, what's your name? I want to drive you down to the other side of town Where paradise ain't so crowded and there'll be action goin' down on Shanty Lane tonight All the golden-heeled fairies in a real bitch-fight Pull .38's and kiss their girls goodnight Goodnight, it's alright, Jane Now let them black boys in to light the soul flame We may find it out on the street tonight, baby Or we may walk until the daylight, maybe Well, like a cool Romeo he made his moves, oh, she looked so fine Like a late Juliet, she knew he'd never be true but then, she really didn't mind Upstairs a band was playin' and the singer was singin' something about going home She whispered, "Spanish Johnny, you can leave me tonight, but just don't leave me alone" And Johnny cried, "Puerto Rican Jane, word is down, the cops have found the vein" Them barefoot boys left their homes for the woods Them little barefoot street boys, they said their homes ain't no good They left the corners, threw away their switchblade knives and kissed each other goodbye Johnny was sittin' on the fire escape, watchin' the kids playin' down the street He called down, "Hey little heroes, summer's long, but I guess it ain't very sweet around here anymore" Janey sleeps in sheets damp with sweat Johnny sits up alone and watches her dream on, dream on And the sister prays for lost souls, then breaks down in the chapel after everyone's gone Jane moves over to share her pillow but opens her eyes to see Johnny up and putting his clothes on She says, "Those romantic young boys, all they ever want to do is fight Those romantic young boys, they're callin' through the window Hey, Spanish Johnny, you want to make a little easy money tonight?" And Johnny whispered, "Goodnight, it's all tight, Jane I'll meet you tomorrow night on Lover's Lane We may find it out on the street tonight, now, baby Or we may walk until the daylight, maybe" Goodnight, it's alright, Jane I'm gonna meet you tomorrow night on Lover's Lane We can find it out on the street tonight, now, baby Or we may walk until the daylight, maybe
