Hey there, I bought a few too many dead tickets, and now I can't afford to go to Bonnaroo. Due to this, I have tickets each following shows up for sale/trade: Worcester 4/18 - 1 Hartford 4/26 - 2 I will gladly trade both sets of tickets for a weekend pass with camping (non-RV) to Bonnaroo. If cash is offered, I will accept no more than what I paid for the tickets. They're pricey enough as it is. All the tickets are floor seats. For more information, feel free to mail me on this site, or at me email address: redial2 [at] gmail [dot] com Thanks a ton. Also, I will be attending whichever shows I can't offload tickets for, as well as the 4/19 show in Worcester. If you're interested in carpooling, shoot me a message. -Coffee

hey now I know this is a long shot but I am just a broke head hoping to get to a show this year. I am living in so cal right now and would love to be able to hit the forum or hitch up to shoreline or just jump in someones ride and hit the whole tour. Times are really tight and I cant find work etc etc. The traveller in me is screamin to get out and go for it, and have some fun. I really have nothing to lose soooo if anyone wants to bless me with a ticket, I will get there. Peace and love!\Wayne

Well it's about time, please take a minute to write to your congressman!!! Well it's about time Congressman asks for investigation of Ticketmaster, TicketsNow over Springsteen By George Gombossy on February 3, 2009 2:44 PM | Permalink | Comments (0) PASCRELL SEEKS INVESTIGATION INTO TICKETMASTER BUSINESS PRACTICE WITH SUBSIDIARY, TICKETNOW Press release: WASHINGTON-- U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-08) today requested that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division investigate Ticketmaster's relationship with its subsidiary company, TicketsNow, following the company's handling of ticket sales for the Bruce Springsteen tour that became available on Monday February 2. Dear Chairman Kovacic: I am writing today to direct your attention to a potential conflict of interest regarding Ticketmaster and its affiliate company, TicketsNow. This issue has been brought to my attention through constituent complaints and press reports regarding the online sale of Bruce Springsteen concerts tickets at the IZOD Center in New Jersey and other locations all across the country. As you know, Ticketmaster is a large ticket sales and distribution company that often serves as a venue's sole ticketing agent. A large percentage of their sales are made online through Ticketmaster.com. In a recent effort expand its business Ticketmaster acquired TicketsNow, a website which specializes in the secondary, resale market for tickets. When tickets for Bruce Springsteen's new tour went on sale exclusively through Ticketmaster at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2009, scores of fans in New Jersey were met with technical difficulty on Ticketmaster.com that impaired them from making a purchase. Thousands of others who were fortunate enough to get beyond the technical problems were informed that the shows were sold out. Conspicuously placed on the same screen that informed fans of ticket unavailability was an alternative purchasing option from TicketsNow.com. It offered the same tickets at a value marked up hundreds of dollars beyond their original face value. I am troubled by how quickly tickets priced exponentially higher became available on the secondary market to thousands of rejected fans, many who also endured unfortunate technical problems on Ticketmaster.com. I am concerned that the business affiliation between Ticketmaster and TicketsNow may represent a conflict of interest that is detrimental to the average fan. There is a significant potential for abuse when one company is able to monopolize the primary market for a product and also directly manipulate, and profit from, the secondary market. Additionally, the speed with which tickets were made available on Ticketmaster's official resale affiliate site raises questions about whether TicketsNow brokers were given preferential treatment instead of competing on a level playing field with average consumers to purchase the tickets. With so many families struggling in this economy, I am outraged by how expensive tickets to ball games, concerts and other shows have become. I understand the economic principles that have driven up the cost of entertainment, but will not tolerate unjust business practices that put regular Americans at a disadvantage. I respectfully request that your office investigate the relationship between Ticketmaster and TicketsNow to ensure that the procedure for purchasing tickets remains fair to the average consumer. If you require any additional information or have any questions, please contact Arthur Mandel on my staff at (202) 225-5751. I look forward to the favor of your reply. Sincerely, Bill Pascrell, Jr. Member of Congress

I have decided to buy 2 of the cheapest scalper tix still available for SC 6/27. I see that StubHub still has over 5000 available. I don't like that I've been reduced to patronizing a scalper but it seems like the surest way to get my ass into the venue. I'm wondering if I should wait till closer to the date of the show and see if prices will fall or if I should just go ahead and get my obstructed view seats now. Also, can anyone recommend the least sleazy scalper?

Selling 4 tickets for each night, as we sadly will no longer be able to make it out to SF. Saturday tickets are labeled limited view, but looking at the seating chart I can't see why. I tried to call the stadium for more info but couldn't find any. My guess is the angle but if you look at the seating chart below, tickets in the next section over are P1, or the most expensive seats. Feel free to do the legwork yourself if you're curious. Sunday tickets are GA Floor. I'd either need full payment up front and I'd mail you out the tickets once received, or I could take a deposit and ship out to friends in SF where you could make full payment. I'd imagine you'd want to speak to me and get some sort of guarantee before all this so I'm open to whatever would make you comfortable. Looking to sell all 8 tickets together but I'm willing to take offers on 4, either all for one night or 2+2, then put them together. Stubhub is not a scalper...it's a ticket marketplace where people can set any value above or below face. I've bought countless tickets from Stubhub,ALL for significantly LESS than face value...which is hardly the definition of a scalper, unless they are really bad at it! Also, Stubhub really backs up their sales so if you have any problem, you will get compensated very well. Right now, you can get into the 6/28 show for $25, all fees including shipping included! And 6/27 is $45 minimum. A lot better than the $68 I paid direct, and better seats too! My guess is A LOT of people entered the lottery thinking they could make $$$ and now are facing substantial losses (at least on a percentage basis), and dumping while they can.

except, that StubHub is owned by ticket sellers. it's a legal scam. Any road -- re: My guess is A LOT of people entered the lottery thinking they could make $$$ and now are facing substantial losses (at least on a percentage basis), and dumping while they can. All I can say, is that we can only hope!

Last time I checked, Ebay was a large company in many businesses...primarily online auction and marketplace and paypal. Does stubhub have relationships with sports leagues and concert promotors - absolutely. But they are not owned by them. Not sure how stubhub is a "scam"...who exactly are they scamming?

I have an extra ticket for each night in Sec. 314 through package deal at hotel 2 miles away. You get to park at hotel for free and take shuttle to the shows which is included in the cost! If you buy for both nights I will throw in the Dead shirt they are giving as part of package. Would like to get $120 for each ticket which is $30 under what I paid with the service charge. I get ticket when I arrive Saturday afternoon and we can meet at the hotel. Thanks! Gary

This may be old news to most, but I have been off these boards for a while now... I live in Chicago area and got my hair cut by a new person last week. He scored a total of 9 tix over the three nights, all GREAT seats, all from Bears Season Ticket holders. He said they had a week's notice I think (or 2) to collect them. Anyhow, point being, this is why there are thousands of tix on stubhub with the most ridiculously greedy prices, but they are coming down!! Hold out till the last possible minute everyone and make them have to dump them for cost!! Lucky enough to be going to Friday night (SO EXCITED!!) but hoping to get in Sat, Sun too. Hoping it rains too and people going for the "cool" factor end up giving up their tix to real fans too Hope everyone lucky enough to be in Cali, has the time of their lives :-)
