    Hey Travis
I won't know what seats we've got for a couple of months, but I'm patient. Do you know anything about where folks will be hanging out before/after the shows? I'm not too familiar with Philly (we picked it since we had to hit the road and wanted to see at least two shows for the effort). We've booked some rooms at the Hyatt @ Penn's Landing, but that's only because we saw it listed as part of the VIP packages, so we thought "hmmm, there oughta be at least a few 'heads there" but then again, this venue may not be the epicenter of all things Dead in PA. So if ya know of any good gathering spots for pre- and post-show communing, please reply back. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One man gathers what another man spills...

any thoughts on the band adding a date or 2 for spring tour? looks like an open shot for you midwest heads..or up in oregon or washington,,other food for thought..It would be cool to bring Donna jean back for the tour..we saw her this summer at a festival out on long Island she was on!! she also sat in with Mickeys band,, made the set for sure.I think her vocals would add/help for this tour.. plus I miss her twirls when they went out there..after reading other folks nightmares with the pre sale.. I feel like I won a lottery prize.. 2 tix for nassau and msg,, nice seats for nassau,, so,so for the garden... still want to try for a road trip..will start collecting empty beer bottles once the snow stops... peace to all,, its good to be here talking up the band,, at this point in my life its good to be anywere...thought? opinions?....

Sailor, Thanks for your kind post. I get goose bumped just thinking about this Chitown show....and who knows if I make it home for Shoreline. Wish I could perchance to dream and see the boys in Philly with you! I do know, that if we were in a parking lot together the peverbial Dark Stars would align and I would meet kind people. Have fun my brother and maybe we'll find the same path to unlimited devotion. _________________________________________________________ Will you come with me? I waded through a spate of postings from the last two days and have never seen so much negative energy. Until I read your note and a few right before it, I thought I was in some sort of bizarro world, not the dead.net boards. Hope you can see a few shows in this tour. For my part, I never intended to go anywhere near the on-line pre-sales thing. A Luddite at heart, I dutifully sent off a couple of brightly-colored envelopes to the friendly crew at GDTS, and I trust they'll take care of my friends and me (we're aiming for the two shows in Philly). Ticket prices? Higher than they used to be, for sure, but what isn't? Hell, I've gotta get from MN to PA and back, so tickets are the least of the expenses I've gotta deal with. But it'll get done, one way or another. Oh well, sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One man gathers what another man spills...

Beavis & Butthead. You and your loser friend, jayhawkfrank, are the most hilarious imbeciles on this board. You have NEVER seen the Grateful Dead, but you have the audacity to tell others that which you did not and will not experience. Bummer. You're the ones we used to laugh at at shows. Are you sure you are not a cop? You both certainly sounds like one. jayhawkfrank - maybe you should stick to insulting those who live outside of the mainstream, like the Dead. hypocrite.

Ok, I have to put my two cents in now. Look, I've been shown the light many times through all kinds of music. That's the point....MUSIC. "People can you feel it, LOVE is in the air!" It doesn't matter if it's the Allman Bros, Phish, 311, James Brown, Big Brother and The Holding Company, Dave Matthews, Primus, (my fav) The Grateful Dead, Ratdog, Hank Williams, Ben Harper, Phil & Friends, Pearl Jam, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Merle Haggarand, The Beatles, and the list goes on and on and on! I t's not about being nasty to each other, hurling remarks to people, complaining, and projecting negative energy to rooms. That's why the Grateful Dead have shown me so much....we are all not perfect, we are all fucked up in some way, we are all good people at the same time. All of us carry a big torch showing people that you can have love for your brothers and sisters of this bright blue ball spinning, regardless of the other shit. It's about listening to the MUSIC and using what you need from it and leaving the rest. BE KIND. I actually like Phish the band....hate the parking lots and don't feel all the people there are true, but it's good music. That's why "Our" band is so special, there are dicks everywhere, but "Our" band brings us together like no one else before. "Our" band has taught many people after them to actually play music from the heart. "Our" band brings out the goo balls and grilled cheese sandwiches in people. LOVE. So please, pretty please with sugar on top show them that YOU are the EYES of the WORLD! <<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> _________________________________________________________ Will you come with me? Hey Dan,Don't let it bug you - I believe we've all moved on from where things were at a few months ago. Our heroine, Mary E, saved us from the dragon, and the vibes have been much sunnier here since then (Thanks, Mary!). Crickets and cicadas sing, a rare and different tune, Terrapin Station.

Crystal Journey has arrived in the United States for a 14 city tour along with seeing The Dead 7 times in NY, NJ, DC, NC and VA. It was a very smooth and peaceful border crossing, a BIG smile from the pretty woman in the booth asking where we were going? to see the Grateful Dead I yelled with excitement. Photos and news will be updated as I have internet access. All Crystal Journey dates are on the performances page. If you ordered your tix from musictoday via the online pre sale, they should be delivered to your door by UPS if you chose the default shipping method when ordering. (got my Chi. tix this way a couple of days ago) You should also get an email notifying you that they've shipped along with a tracking #. If nothing happens by 1 week or so prior to the show, you should refer to the email confirmation you received after ordering, and send an email to the musictoday link provided letting them know.

of you got your tickets in the mailbox and one of you got your tickets at your door? I seriously have the worst luck when it comes to ticket delivery. I followed the tracking number online it said they tried to deliver to my door but I wasn't there (yeah no kidding I'm at work!) and that they left a slip. I get home and there is no slip. Now I try to call USPS and it is all automated.. Can't get a hold of a live person. I'm so frustrated.. I know I'm going to get thrown to the wolves for backing TicketSlacker but at least when you buy a ticket from them, you just print the damn tickets right there on your computer and you don't have to go through all this waiting and agonizing and trying to call people etc.. I have 3 more packages of pre sale tickets still coming.. I'm going to be a nervous wreck by the time this is all said and done! :-) "When the smoke has cleared she said, that's what she said to me. You're gonna want a bed to lay your head and a little sympathy"

Can't you hit "0" and get an operator or customer service person? I hate the automated systems!!! I would be frustrated too. I have my mom on UPS patrol today since the tix are going to her house. I told her if she hears anything remotely close to a ups truck her little butt better be out at the mail box lol!

I did order mine at the presale with music today and I did get an email saying they were on the way, but they were put in my mailbox in that big white mailer-type envelope?!?! I think I just went with the default shipping method also. I don't know! I was so nervous and anxious that day I got the tickets, there is no telling what I hit:)

Was the tracking info you received from UPS (brown) or from USPS (mailman) ? Either way, I suppose, you should be able to get info online as to the status of your package if you re-check the track. It may be at your local post office or the UPS office, available for you to pick up. Or they may have returned to sender. Hopefully not! :-(

If it was UPS, they will usually try back the next day- just make sure you or someone is there to sign for it. " Goin' where the climate suits my clothes... "

I remember having all my stuff ready to go, I stayed home from work to order through presale, then the system was overloaded adn I kept getting logged off or thrown back to the previous screen. I was so frustrated I remember pacing back and fourth just waiting to get to the next screen and complete the order. Luckily I can laugh about it now :o)!

Musictoday does alot of the pre-sale ticketing for bands nowdays and they do leave some things to be desired. As far as the delivery I ordered from them along with GDTS and when they delivered I thought they would ask for a signiture but they just stuck it under the door mat and rang the bell. They do tell ya (I dont know why I never do this) that if your not going to be home have it delivered to your work. UPS will deliver to all offices before 5 PM (7PM for home delivery) and most offices have a recptionist or send it to a friends office if you dont have one. Goode luck I am still waiting for my Shorline tix and chi 5/4

I live in San Diego and have 2 VIP tickets to the May 9th Show in Los Angeles. I'm hoping to find someone to join me in having a great time. The tickets are paid for and I would require no compensation or strings attached for joining me. Contact me if you would be interested -- especially in riding up with me from San Diego. FWIW, I am a 39-year old male divorced attorney and a nice guy who is drug free.

Bought my C'ville ticket today! Can't wait! Hope to run into some old friends there. Although I'm not from this side of the US, actually from West Coast...but I might get lucky...at my age all my friends are probably going thru mid-life crisis so they might have decided to tour with the Dead again....its been many years since my last show...I don't remember it very well because there have been so many and they all seem to get jumbled up in my head....so yeah...looking forward to the show and seeing some family! Thinking about taking a trip down to Greensboro to get away from family drama at home with the holiday coming. My daughter will be out of town with her dad in CA and I will be on my own (cept for the family drama I will leave behind). Looked into going to the DC show but yikes it reminds me of a Vegas show without Vegas! Parking will suck! So not sure bout it yet. But I do have the day off! Anyway, hope to see some friends and family in C'ville. Ciao! Ann Marie (originally from west coast L.A. area)

Estimated Prophet into Birdsong I finally got my Denver tickets after the post office fiasco earlier this week... they were in the mail and I have a PO box which complicates it even more. Anyways I am relieved but I still have 3 more packages of tickets to go... yikes! I am sure it will be a roller coaster ride before it is all said and done :-) Oh and I also got my Hartford 77 CD's and they are smokin from what I have heard so far. Today I am very happy with the post office yaaay!! "And I'll call down thunder and speak the same. My word fills the sky with flame. Might and glory gonna be my name and they gonna light my way."

(by now everyone should have this in email, but just in case) For the auditory delight of all Dead Heads we're proud to provide every note of the spring tour in the highest-quality straight from the soundboard! Pre-order downloads of individual shows, specific runs or the complete tour. You'll receive an email when your download is available, usually within 24 hours after the show! Live show downloads are available for pre-order. The actual show downloads will be ready for downloading as fast as humanly possible. The estimate is within 24 to 48 hours after each show.
