    likewise agree
Great show, Bruce really energized the band for by far the best version of "Walking Blues" I ever heard the band play. But the 1st half of the 2nd set is what this show is all about.

    Agree with above posts
This particular run to me were the best post-Brent shows I personally saw. Virtually every song was executed perfectly. As mentioned, Scarlet>Fire was awesome. Really the entire show was great from beginning to end.

    Tighter than a...
This was a huge night on the heels of the 6 night California run (which had zero song repeats), and the boys were readdy from the get go! A wonderful 10 song first set never let up. Cold Rain and Snow in a very rare late set arrival seemed to change tempo a number of times. They were just flowing amazing music throughout the set. The Scarlet>Fire is sick. Please do not experience this pairing for the first time while operating heavy machinery. Yes, Mickey did lose a stick during The Wheel. The post drumz is really nice and relaxing after a mentaly taxing first set and pre drumz. This is a great show.

First show of the tour and Jerry was looking great. During The Wheel Mickey lost control of his stick and it sailed onto the stage, Bobby picked it up, tossed it back to him and made it back to the mike in time for the verse.

Richfield shows were always solid. In addition to the Scarlet -->Fire, Jack-a-Roe -->Walkin, there's a nice, mellow instrumental lead in to Black Throated Wind = chills city.

I don't remember a whole lot about this show except the 36-minute Scarlet>Fire, which the above posts pay proper homage to. During the transition, there was a wonderful moment when Jerry played a long run and then Bobby played a little two-note "cap" to it to kind of finish it off in perfect time...great stuff! In the annals of musical history, only the boys could do something like that.

Great show from opening to closing. Jerry and the boys were definately geared up and in the groove. The Jack Straw is absolutely on fire! The music was alive and healthy. This, in my opinion, is the Dead at its ultimate peak, full of energy and fresh enthusiam with Bruce (always a pleasure) and all of the momentum of the 25 year road trip rolling downhill full steam ahead. I also get chills everytime I hear almost anything from this show.

Saw more than 20 shows from 1990-1995, and this might be the best of them all. First set was blistering. The second as good as they come. None of the mediocre new stuff either. Right on, right on.

I just listened to this show again and I'm now pretty sure that this one sounds the best of all the ones I saw -- and I saw some good ones. The vocals are not perfect, but I don't think I ever saw a show (they were all in the 90s) where they jammed quite like this. All that first set energy just spills over into the second. Listed how Bobby is going for Eyes at the end of Estimated. What an incredible show, and what a great selection of classic Jerry songs.

As if to make up for Bobby's mangling of Throwin' Stones, the boys come back with one of the most rippin' latter-day NFAs that I've ever heard. Wow!
