I gotta know right now... That deal with the devil didn't last long...I have no phone! Guess who just got back today? Those wild-eyed boys that had been away Haven't changed, haven't much to say But man, I still think those cats are great They were asking if you were around How you was, where you could be found I told them you were living downtown Driving all the old men crazy The boys are back in town You know the chick that used to dance a lot Every night she'd be on the floor shaking what she'd got Man when I tell you she was cool, she was red hot I mean she was steaming That night over at Johnny's place Well this chick got up and she slapped Johnny's face Man we just fell about the place If that chick don't want to know, forget her Friday night they'll be dressed to kill Down at Dino's bar and grill The drink will flow and blood will spill If the boys want to fight, you'd better let them That jukebox in the corner blasting out my favorite song The nights are getting warmer, it won't be long It won't be long till summer comes Now that the boys are here again The boys are back in town This day is taking forever! Even though Im staying busy... Ever heard of Jake's Leg? They are a Dead tribute band that are opening up the show. And on another note, have you ever heard of "Rare Visions and Roadside Revelations"?

OK, here we go, we got a real pressure cooker going hereTwo down, nobody on, no score, bottom of the ninth There's the windup, and there it is, a line shot up the middle Look at him go. This boy can really fly! He's rounding first and really Turning it on now, he's not letting up at all, he's gonna try for Second; the ball is bobbled out in center, and here comes the Throw, and what a throw! He's gonna slide in head first, here he Comes, he's out! No, wait, safe-safe at second base, this kid Really makes things happen out there. Batter steps up to the Plate, here's the pitch-he's going, and what a jump he's got He's trying for third, here's the throw, it's in the dirt-safe at Third! Holy cow, stolen base! He's taking a pretty big lead out There, almost daring him to try and pick him off. The pitcher Glances over, winds up, and it's bunted, bunted down the third Base line, the suicide squeeze is on! Here he comes, squeeze Play, it's gonna be close, holy cow, I think he's gonna make it!

This was a nice impromptu tribute to The City of Nouveau Orleans around the anniversary of the devestation of Katrina. Man, do you know what it means to miss New Orleans Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans And miss it each night and day I know I’m not wrong, this feeling's gettin' stronger The longer, I stay away Miss them moss covered vines, the tall sugar pines Where mockin' birds used to sing And I'd like to see that lazy Mississippi Hurryin' into spring Oh the moonlight on the bayou A creole tune that fills the air I dream about Magnolias in bloom And I'm wishin' I was there Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans Since that's where you left your heart And there's something more, I miss the one I care for More than I miss New Orleans

This time I'm walkin' to New Orleans I'm walkin' to New Orleans I'm gonna need two pair-a shoes When I get through walkin' these blues When I get back to New Orleans I've got my suitcase in my hand Now ain't that-a shame? I can only imagine...I've watched many a PBS special on the subject with interviews of residents still trying to pick up the pieces. There is something different in the air down there... I need to make it there at some point... In the heart of the night In the cool southern rain There's a full moon in sight Shining down on the Pontchartrain And the river she rises Just like she used to do She's so full of surprises She reminds me of you In the heart of the night In the heart of the night In the heart of the night Oh, whoa, down in New Orleans There's a night bird singing Right on through till the dawn And the streets are still ringing With people carrying on It's been so long waiting Just to be here again Anticipating All the time I could spend In the heart of the night In the heart of the night In the heart of the night And I trust in your love never falling down I trust in your love Just like I do in this town Whoa, never falling down Whoa, never falling down In the heart of the night In the cool fallin' rain There's a full moon in sight Shining down on the Pontchartrain And the river she rises Just like she used to do She's so full of surprises Oh, momma, she reminds me of you Right here, in the heart of the night In the heart of the night In the heart of the night Down in New Orleans And I'm so glad to be back in New Orleans Please don't wake me, don't shake me If it's only, if it's only just a dream It's the only place I can face that feels so right Below that Dixie moon and loving you In the heart of the night

Did the NO Jazz Festival as well as Garden District, Bourbon and Frenchmen Streets.....and some bad ass swamp tour in a hydroplane.... Took a bus to the 9th Ward over the objections of the driver....saw the tragedy and devastation at that time 8 years Katrina removed. it wasn't racism, it was anger and frustration over having lost their life's memories....that will stay with me forever..... Ridin' on the City of New Orleans Illinois Central Monday morning rail Fifteen cars and fifteen restless riders Three conductors and twenty-five sacks of mail All along the southbound odyssey the train pulls out of Kankakee And rolls along past houses farms and fields Passing trains that have no name and freight yards full of old black men And the graveyards of the rusted automobiles Good morning, America. How are you? Say, don't you know me? I'm your native son I'm the train they call the City of New Orleans And I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done Dealin' cards with the old men in the club car Penny a point, ain't no one keepin' score Pass the paper bag that holds the bottle And feel the wheels rumbling 'neath the floor And the sons of Pullman porters and the sons of engineers Ride their fathers' magic carpet made of steel Mothers with their babes asleep rockin' to the gentle beat And the rhythm of the rails is all they feel Good morning, America. How are you? Say, don't you know me? I'm your native son I'm the train they call the City of New Orleans And I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done Night time on the City of New Orleans changing cars in Memphis Tennessee Halfway home we'll be there by morning Through the Mississippi darkness rolling down to the sea And all the towns and people seem to fade into a bad dream And the steel rails still ain't heard the news The conductor sings his songs again the passengers will please refrain This train has got the disappearing railroad blues Good morning, America. How are you? Say, don't you know me? I'm your native son I'm the train they call the City of New Orleans I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done I am going back.....best weeks vacation spent.....ever......

    @ The Hood...
It is a bit unrealistic...Ive been through most of the different hoods around the city, during the day and night and wasn't afraid. Been to funerals deep in the hood where I was the only caucasian. Been in and around East St. Louis AKA East Boogie without issue. However, some friends and I received a police escort out of South Chicago when we got lost searching for hotdogs and pizza. Kept tellin the driver to stop heading south...We got out to go get the food and the shop owners looked at us like what the hell are you doing here. When we returned to the car witht he food we were rushed by a group of plain-clothed officers with their guns drawn. We put our hands full of plates of food in the air... They were like you gotta get out of here, follow us... Ten damn days And all I got to show for it is shoes and shows and chauffeurs with road rage Still the same damn ad-lib: IGH!, always Still gotta letterman, no practice Still gotta burner man, no lacking Still outtin Jams nigga, no Jackson No Jordan and we toe-tagging I'll take you to land, where the lake made of sand And the milk don't pour and the honey don't dance And the money ain't yours Now it's just a red pill, Got a blue and a hand full of Advils I'm the new Nitty, fuck it Nitty the the old me So I'm a tell the buyer what Nitty told me [Hook 1:] I got that Mmm Mmm I got that God damn I'm yo pusha man I'm yo, I'm yo pusha man Pimp slapping, toe taggin I'm just tryna fight the man I'm yo pusha man I'm yo, I'm yo pusha man [x2] [Verse 2:] You a laaaaaaaame, and your bitch break down my weed sometimes See my face in the streets, in the tweets And a Reader or a Redeye if you read Sun-Times She got blisters on her knees, she's a fiend for the D Even though I only beat one time One time it was one two times It was two plus me equals threesome time Shouts out to Nate, I jackball and I bop, I flex Got neck from all these thots I sex Rastafari them shottas yes House safari, mi casa, yes Poppy fields of that popeye She came to party, she popped a Molly Said "come to papa", she said "papa, yes" [Hook 1] [Hook 2:] I've been riding around with my blunt on my lips With the sun in my eyes, and my gun on my hip Paranoia on my mind, got my mind on the fritz But a lotta niggas dying, so my 9 with the shits [x2] [Verse 3:] Move to the neighborhood, I bet they don't stay for good, watch Somebody'll steal daddy's rollie, and call it the neighborhood watch Pray for a safer hood when my paper good, watch Captain save the hood, hood savior, baby boy, still get ID'd for swishers Mama still wash my clothes, still with Save Money militia I'm a still watch my bros Trapped in the middle of the map, with a little bitty rock And a little bit of rap That with a literary knack and a little shitty Mac And like literally jack [Hook 2] [Verse 4:] They murking kids, they murder kids here Why you think they don't talk about it? They deserted us here Where the fuck is Matt Lauer at? Somebody get Katie Couric in here Probably scared of all the refugees, look like we had a fucking hurricane here They be shooting whether it's dark or not, I mean the days is pretty dark a lot Down here it's easier to find a gun than it is to find a fucking parking spot No love for the opposition, specifically a cop position, Cause they've never been in our position Getting violations for the nation, correlating, you dry snitching [Hook 2] [Breakdown:] I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared, too. I know you scared, me too. I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared, too. If you was there, then we just knew you'd care, too. [Verse 5:] It just got warm out, this this shit I've been warned about. I hope that it storm in the morning, I hope that it's pouring out. I hate crowded beaches, I hate the sound of fireworks. And I ponder what's worse between knowing it's over and dying first. Cause everybody dies in the summer. Wanna say ya goodbyes, tell them while it's spring. I heard everybody's dying in the summer, so pray to God for a little more spring. I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared, too. If you was there, then we just knew you'd care, too.

it was a good day... The path you tread is narrow And the drop is sheer and very high The ravens all are watching From a vantage point nearby Apprehension creeping Like a tube train up your spine Will the tightrope reach the end Will the final cuplet rhyme And it's high time Cymbaline It's high time Cymbaline Please wake me A butterfly with broken wings Is falling by your side The ravens all are closing in There's nowhere you can hide Your manager and agent Are both busy on the phone Selling colored photographs To magazines back home And it's high time Cymbaline It's high time Cymbaline Please wake me The lines converging where you stand They must have moved the picture plain The leaves are heavy round your feet You hear the thunder of the train Suddenly it strikes you That they're moving into range And Doctor Strange is always changing size And it's high time Cymbaline It's high time Cymbaline Please wake me And it's high time Cymbaline It's high time Cymbaline Please wake me I got lucky #13

Just seems appropriate to spin an oldie, circa 1971 from a nice cat... Morning has broken like the first morning, Blackbird has spoken like the first bird. Praise for the singing, Praise for the morning, Praise for them springing fresh from the world. Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven, Like the first dewfall on the first grass. Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden, Sprung in completeness where his feet pass. Mine is the sunlight, Mine is the morning, Born of the one light Eden saw play. Praise with elation, praise ev'ry morning, God's recreation of the new day. Morning has broken... Word on the streets is that Cat Stevens read the lyrics in an old hymn book, and wrote the chords, putting it to melody... Sun is shining, Sunshine Daydreamers!

yes indeed, that sly cat indeed did borrow lyrics from an old Hymnal... No matter, it's not like My Sweet Lord or Ice, Ice Baby....or is it? Best I can reckon, there was an interview with Ian Anderson who compared Beethoven's Fifth, Smoke on the Water and Aqualung......same 5 notes played in different sequence....nothing is new, it's redefined.... Take me across the water 'cause I need some place to hide I done the rancher's daughter and I sure did hurt his pride aha Oo..ooo Ooooo Ah ah ah Oo..ooo Ooooo Ah ah ah Well there's a hundred miles of desert lies between his hide and mine I don't need no food and no water, Lord, 'cause I'm running out of time Fightin', killin', wine and women, gonna put me to my grave Runnin', hidin', losin', cryin', nothing left to save But my life Oo..ooo Ooooo Ah ah ah Oo..ooo Ooooo Ah ah ah Stood on a ridge and shunned religion thinking the world was mine I made my break and a big mistake stealin' when I should've been buyin' All that fightin', killin', wine and those women, gonna put me to an early grave Runnin', hidin', losin', cryin', nothing left to save But my life, life, life, life, life, life, life, life, life, So I stood on a ridge and shunned religion thinking the world was mine I made my break and a big mistake stealin' when I should've been buyin' I was stealin' when I should've been buyin' I was stealin' when I should've been buyin' yeah Stealin' when I should've been buyin' [repeat with ad lib vocals]

Only hiked 4 miles...Im outta shape! now Holly's playin' the Hollies: Bus stop, wet day, she's there, I say Please share my umbrella Bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows Under my umbrella All that summer we enjoyed it Wind and rain and shine That umbrella, we employed it By August, she was mine Every morning I would see her waiting at the stop Sometimes she'd shopped and she would show me what she bought Other people stared as if we were both quite insane Someday my name and hers are going to be the same That's the way the whole thing started Silly but it's true Thinkin' of a sweet romance Beginning in a queue Came the sun the ice was melting No more sheltering now Nice to think that that umbrella Led me to a vow Every morning I would see her waiting at the stop Sometimes she'd shopped and she would show me what she bought Other people stared as if we were both quite insane Someday my name and hers are going to be the same Bus stop, wet day, she's there, I say Please share my umbrella Bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows Under my umbrella All that summer we enjoyed it Wind and rain and shine That umbrella, we employed it By August, she was mine

Another week begun, another month nearly over.... the guy who wrote this tune was the bassist in 10cc, Graham Gouldman....quite a talented songwriter and musician..... Look through any window yeah, what do you see? Smilin' faces all around rushin' through the busy town (Where do they go) movin' on their way Walkin' down the highways and the by-ways (Where do they go) movin' on their way People with their shy ways and their sly ways Oh you can see the little children all around Oh you can see the little ladies in their gowns when you Look through any window yeah, any time of day See the drivers on the roads pullin' down their heavy loads (Where do they go) movin' on their way Drivin' down highways and the by-ways (Where do they go) movin' on their way Drivers with their shy ways and their sly ways Oh you can see the little children all around Oh you can see the little ladies in their gowns when you Look through any window yeah, what do you see? Smiling faces all around rushin' through the busy town (Where do they go) Movin' on their way Movin' on their way Movin' on their way

Yes, the summer is fading fast...getting dark earlier day by day. August was in a hurry! Came and went in the blink of an eye. I've gone flying, trying to reach you You've been hiding, riding me to a state like this Give me that window to Give me that window to Give me that window to the world We are sailing, flailing through the ether You've been trailing, failing me with your view of bliss A little more than this A little less than that You've got magic in your hands A little more like this A little less like that I've got magic in my hands Give me that window to Give me that window to Give me that window to the world You've conspired, inspired me to find a place like this Give me that window to Give me that window to Give me that window to the world

Nothing says late summer to me like this guy..... Don't know why, but when I hear his music I think of early evening sunsets, clear blue sky days, and crisp nights.... BTW Happy 70th Birthday Van Morrison.... Oh, the smell of the bakery from across the street Got in my nose As we carried our ladders down the street With the wrought-iron gate rows I went home and listened to Jimmie Rodgers in my lunch-break Bought five Woodbines at the shop on the corner And went straight back to work. Oh, Sam was up on top And I was on the bottom with the v We went for lemonade and Paris buns At the shop and broke for tea I collected from the lady And I cleaned the fanlight inside-out I was blowing saxophone on the weekend In that down joint. What's my line? I'm happy cleaning windows Take my time I'll see you when my love grows Baby don't let it slide I'm a working man in my prime Cleaning windows (number a hundred and thirty-six) I heard Leadbelly and Blind Lemon On the street where I was born Sonny Terry, Brownie McGhee, Muddy Waters singin' "I'm A Rolling Stone" I went home and read my Christmas Humphreys' book on Zen Curiosity killed the cat Kerouac's "Dharma Bums" and "On The Road" What's my line? I'm happy cleaning windows Take my time I'll see you when my love grows Baby don't let it slide I'm a working man in my prime Cleaning windows...

There's a man working in a fieldSees the rain and it's burning He's saying this can't be real As he sees the color Of the fields turning Far away, the men too busy Getting rich to care Close their eyes and Let it all out into the air Hoping nobody else would care Look out any window Look out any open door Look out any window To see what's going on In the air around you There's a man working on a boat Pulling lines from the water Just trying to stay afloat, ohh Filling the nets is getting harder Far away, they bend The rules so secretly Close their eyes and Let it all out into the sea Hoping nobody else would see Look out any window Look out any open door Look out any window To see what's going on In the air around you Far away, too many leaders Let them get their way Close their eyes and Let it all out into the bay Say they'll clear it up another day Look out any window Look out any open door Look out any window To see that's going on In the air around you (Look out) Look out for the big boys Telling you everything They're gonna do (Look out) Look out for the fat cat builder man Turning this into a waste land (Look out) Look out for the back room boys That say the smoke is gonna blow away (Look out) Look out for the men Who say it's okay sitting In a building far away

Listen to the rhythm of the falling rainTelling me just what a fool I've been I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain And let me be alone again The only girl I care about has gone away Looking for a brand new start But little does she know That when she left that day Along with her she took my heart Rain please tell me now does that seem fair For her to steal my heart away when she don't care I can't love another when my hearts somewhere far away The only girl I care about has gone away Looking for a brand new start But little does she know that when she left that day Along with her she took my heart [Instrumental Interlude] Rain won't you tell her that I love her so Please ask the sun to set her heart aglow Rain in her heart and let the love we knew start to grow Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain Telling me just what a fool I've been I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain And let me be alone again Oh, listen to the falling rain Pitter pater, pitter pater Oh, oh, oh, listen to the falling rain Pitter pater, pitter patter

now it's raining here for real... When I hear pitter-patter the rain on the window Reminds of her When I hear pitter-patter the rain on the window It was raining hard The trees looked bare the night I met her She was wet her hands were cold The wind blew through her hair Though I'd known her quite a long time We were just good friends So it didn't seem so strange Inviting her back home We sat by the fire The flames brought out something in her Melting all the cold Projecting warmth I never knew As the rain beat on my window Did she understand That in the glow of dying embers Everything was planned Pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter Pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter Pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter Pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter We made love later on that night While the rain beat on my window I can't forget the things that happened While the rain beat down on my window Next time I saw her I knew she didn't want to know me If I disappointed her I think she should have told me Can't she understand I only tried to be a man She made me feel so ashamed Of everything I am When I hear pitter-patter The rain on the window Reminds of her

It is the springtime of my loving - the second season I am to knowYou are the sunlight in my growing - so little warmth I've felt before. It isn't hard to feel me glowing - I watched the fire that grew so low. It is the summer of my smiles - flee from me Keepers of the Gloom. Speak to me only with your eyes. It is to you I give this tune. Ain't so hard to recognize - These things are clear to all from time to time. Talk, talk, talk, talk - I've felt the coldness of my winter I never thought it would ever go. I cursed the gloom that set upon us, 'pon us, 'pon us... But I know that I love you so. But I know that I love you so These are the seasons of emotion and like the wind they rise and fall This is the wonder of devotion - I see the torch we all must hold. This is the mystery of the quotient, quotient - Upon us all, upon us all a little rain must fall. It's just a little rain oh yeah

oh damn! If the thunder dont get ya... IT'S STORMIN' Can you hear my rainy day song Callin' from the street below Baby, since I've been without you Well, it's the only song I know And I keep hearing rainy day songs Tappin' on my window sill Some that soon won't be forgotten And some that probably never will Say, I know You never did believe in rainbows But hey, you know The sun is somehow gonna shine And babe, We only have to look And we can find it, If we want to If we need to It's just another rainy day song Played beneath the sorry sky And when I try to understand it I only end up askin' why But still I hear those rainy day songs Callin' out to me and you I only hope that you can hear them 'Cause rainy days are made for two Say, you know There's always gonna be a rainbow And hey, you know That sun is always gonna shine Come on babe, We only have to look And we can find it If we want to If we need to Can you hear that rainy day song It's such a lost and lonely sound But baby, when I have you near me Rainy days can't get me down Babe I need to have you near me 'Cause it's rainy days That get me down Babe I got to have you near me So rainy days don't get me down Have a great evening! Short week this time around...Wednesday= Friday. Woo Hoo!

We watched National Lampoons Summer Vacation last nigh...so funny when they go through St. Louis and get lost on the north side then their hubcaps are all stolen. Do you remember the 21st night of September? Love was changing the minds of pretenders While chasing the clouds away Our hearts were ringing In the key that our souls were singing. As we danced in the night, Remember how the stars stole the night away Ba de ya - say do you remember Ba de ya - dancing in September Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day Ba duda, ba duda, ba duda, badu Ba duda, badu, ba duda, badu Ba duda, badu, ba duda My thoughts are with you Holding hands with your heart to see you Only blue talk and love, Remember how we knew love was here to stay Now December found the love we shared in September. Only blue talk and love, Remember the true love we share today Ba de ya - say do you remember Ba de ya - dancing in September Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day There was a Ba de ya - say do you remember Ba de ya - dancing in September Ba de ya - golden dreams were shiny days The bell was ringing, aha Our souls were singing Do you remember Never a cloudy day There was a Ba de ya - say do you remember Ba de ya - dancing in September Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day There was a Ba de ya - say do you remember Ba de ya - dancing in September Ba de ya - golden dreams were shiny days Ba de ya de ya de ya Ba de ya de ya de ya ba de ya de ya de ya De ya Ba de ya de ya de ya Ba de ya de ya de ya ba de ya de ya de ya

I don't think so, homey don't play dat.....I been to Compton.....I been to Bed Stuy and Harlem in the 70's.... Finally out the motherfuckin C-P-T Off to other cities and shit No longer just an underground hit Movin thangs... a local nigga made good And made a name off of making tapes for niggaz in the hood And now, let me tell a little story About the places that I been to and the shit that I been through Like fightin and shootouts and bangin and shit All because a nigga made a hit, check it Nineteen-ninety-one, it was double or nothin that a nigga would hit Then we broke out with the funky shit About bitches and niggaz and gettin drunken off that bud I was doing the shit they hadn't heard of But foolish was I to think that it wasn't no other cities like this And that they didn't like this That Compton was the home of a foot in yo ass Where you got blast And now that's just a thing of the past Let me tell ya why firsthand, we did a show up in Oak-land And niggaz was kickin up sand, to them bangin ain't nothin new And slangin ain't nothin new And for every nigga we done shot They done shot two Straight through and on since the sixties before I was born Families of young niggaz mourn So I'm just letting you know That if ya plan to take a trip to the bay Keep your hand on the clip Becaue Oakland... Yeah, I'm telling y'all Oakland... Moving on to St. Louis, where thecountry is fucked With gold teeth int hey mouth, but they still know what's up Where it's hot as a motherfucker Hot enough to make ya cuss That's why I kept my ass on the bus But later on, whenit cooled off we came down and met a couple of friends Who put us up on the St. Louis cap The Smith Center, with Big Bob, Little Steve, Tojo, Biss and Rich and a couple of bitches Then they took us to a man named Gus in a store He put me down with a herringbone and shoes galore That's when I started thinking that this wasn't like home But then they had to prove me wrong Cuz later that night after we did the show We went back to the afterset, and wouldn't ya know Yeah, Bloods and Crips start scrappin and shootin -- in Missouri? Damn, how could this happen? Now St. Louis... Yeah y'all, St. Louis... I don't think they know, they too crazy for their own good They need to stop watchin that "Colors" and "Boyz in the Hood" Too busy claimin Sixties, tryin to be raw And never ever seen the Shaw But now, back to the story that I'm tellin We packed up the tour bus one more time and started bailin When we arrived I saw red and blue sweatsuits When I'm thinkin bout horse dookey and cowboy boots I guess Texas ain't no different from the rest And San Antonio, was just waitin to put us to the test And before it was over the shit got deep A nigga got shot in the face, and was dead in the street Then they came in the club thinkin of scrappin Little did they know that we was packin Yeah, we was puttin em down and squaring the rest, shit I even had to wear the bulletproof vest Now San Antonio... Yeah, San Antonio... After a month on the road We came home and I can safely say That L.A. is a much better place to stay How could a bunch of niggaz in a town like this Have such a big influence on niggaz so far away? But still my story ain't over cuz I got one more to tell And the people of Colorado, they know it well It was all in the news and if you don't remember I had this show I did in Denver With a punk ass promoter in a bunk ass skating rink Bitches was loving it, but niggaz was shovin and shit To the front of the stage to throw their gang signs But I'm getting paid so I didn't pay it no mind Then I poured out my brew onto their face and chest then they start throwin soda, and fuckin up my guests When it was over two niggaz needed stitches Got cracked in they jaw for being punk ass bitches Now Denver... Yeah y'all, Denver... And ya know that Oakland... Yeah y'all St. Louis... Uh-huh, San Antonio... Yeah, and Denver... I thought ya knew...

2013 did a trip to the big easy, used public transportation....trollies and buses to navigate the city.

I can only imagine...I've watched many a PBS special on the subject with interviews of residents still trying to pick up the pieces. There is something different in the air down there... I need to make it there at some point... In the heart of the night In the cool southern rain There's a full moon in sight Shining down on the Pontchartrain And the river she rises Just like she used to do She's so full of surprises She reminds me of you In the heart of the night In the heart of the night In the heart of the night Oh, whoa, down in New Orleans There's a night bird singing Right on through till the dawn And the streets are still ringing With people carrying on It's been so long waiting Just to be here again Anticipating All the time I could spend In the heart of the night In the heart of the night In the heart of the night And I trust in your love never falling down I trust in your love Just like I do in this town Whoa, never falling down Whoa, never falling down In the heart of the night In the cool fallin' rain There's a full moon in sight Shining down on the Pontchartrain And the river she rises Just like she used to do She's so full of surprises Oh, momma, she reminds me of you Right here, in the heart of the night In the heart of the night In the heart of the night Down in New Orleans And I'm so glad to be back in New Orleans Please don't wake me, don't shake me If it's only, if it's only just a dream It's the only place I can face that feels so right Below that Dixie moon and loving you In the heart of the night

beautiful song selection, makes me weak in the knees..... Poco's music was overlooked at times, especially when they went mainstream.....those songs hold the test of time though...... This time I'm walkin' to New Orleans I'm walkin' to New Orleans I'm gonna need two pair-a shoes When I get through walkin' these blues When I get back to New Orleans I've got my suitcase in my hand Now ain't that-a shame? I'm leavin' here today Yes, I'm goin' back home to stay Yes, I'm walkin' to New Orleans Ya used to be my honey 'Till you spent all my money No use for you to cry I'll see you by and by 'Cause I'm walkin' to New Orleans I've got no time for talkin' I've got to keep on walkin' New Orleans is my home That's the reason why I'm goin' Yes, I'm walkin' to New Orleans I'm walkin' to New Orleans I'm walkin' to New Orleans I'm walkin' to New Orleans.

I danced to it at our wedding..... Enjoy..... The worst person I know Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law She worries me so Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law If she leaves us alone we would have a happy home Sent from down below Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law I come home with my pay Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law She AX me what I MADE Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law She thinks her advice is a contribution but if she will leave that will be the solution and don't come back no more Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law SATAN (Sin) should be her name Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law To me there about the same Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law Every time I open my mouth She steps in and tries to put me out How could she stoop so low Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law

Boy you nailed that one on the head! Finally the cord is cut...Gotta get my own phone plan...Baseball game is the priority tonight though... RV&RR plays @ 4am on PBS here. Gotta stay up real late or get up real early to catch it. Used to be on Sunday nights. I Love that show. Those guys are from Kansas City. So by the selection, do you have a MIL from hell too? There I was with no resentment, life without regrets Deep inside was sheer contentment - till the day we met Feel as though my whole world now is full of pain and strife Since the day that I first met: the mother of my wife Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law To the floor I tried to stick her, and sneak out of the room I bought her a bumper sticker: "My other car's a broom" You don't know what she's like, and one day I told 'er At least you're well-balanced, got a chip on either shoulder Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law You don't know what she's like Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law Mother-in-law, Mother-in-law Mother-in-law bout fell out my chair...

My mother in law has passed into the ether. funny thing....time and death heal all wounds...no, we did not click, not once not never. But looking back, I could have been nicer, forgiving, more understanding...maybe???? She could have as well, but in the end we can only control our own actions.... See Miami, I got to an age and a place in life where when I look around I don't see me anymore...I see a bigger picture that I am in, I am just no longer in the center of the photo, kinda like the one Matt posted on SD....nice memories btw, of the crowd meandering from the Hilton to Soldier with your face to the left....half there....that btw is a great photo.....As are they all... So, in keeping with the theme I give you a little Leon Russell.... I've been so many places in my life and time I've sung a lot of songs, I've made some bad rhyme I've acted out my life in stages with ten thousand people watching But we're alone now and I'm singing this song for you I know your image of me is what I hope to be, I've treated you unkindly But girl can't you see, there's no one more important to me So darling can't you please see through me, 'cause we're alone now And I'm singing my song for you, you taught me precious secrets The truth with holding nothing, you came out in front And I was hiding, oh, but now I'm so much better, So if my words don't come together, listen to the melody 'Cause my love is in there hiding I love you in a place where there is no space or time, I love you for my life You are a friend of mine, and when my life is over Remember, remember, remember when we were together And we are alone now, and I was singing this song to you We were alone, and I was singing, yeah singing We were alone, and I was singing this song for you Singing my song, I'm singing my song for you.... Glad you are getting your own phone, if you change the number send it on home to me..... And you n Matt enjoy the old ball game......

All I ever wanted from the relationship with my mother in law was mutual respect...I have never had an adult or child for that matter speak to me the way she does. She gives me no respect and we cannot even communicate on the most basic level. It is very frustrating- I dont have bad blood with anyone else, ever. There is no real perfection There'll be no perfect day Just love is our connection The truth in what we say There's no good revolution Just power changing hands There is no straight solution Except to understand So listen to my song of life You don't need a gun or a knife Successful conversation will take you very far There is no real perfection There'll be no perfect man Just peace is our connection For giving all you can There's no good kind of killing Just power taking life It's all good blood that's spilling To make a bigger knife So listen to my song of life You don't need a gun or a knife Successful conversation can take you very far Successful conversation can take you very far So listen to my song of life You don't need a gun or a knife Successful conversation can take you very far Successful conversation can take you very far Successful conversation will take you very far

For Sure! I'd sing her this one...but I cant even call her... Look inside Look inside your tiny mind Now look a bit harder 'Cause we're so uninspired, so sick and tired of all the hatred you harbor So you say It's not okay to be gay Well I think you're just evil You're just some racist who can't tie my laces Your point of view is medieval Fuck you Fuck you very, very much 'Cause we hate what you do And we hate your whole crew So please don't stay in touch Fuck you Fuck you very, very much 'Cause your words don't translate And it's getting quite late So please don't stay in touch Do you get Do you get a little kick out of being slow-minded? You want to be like your father It's approval you're after Well that's not how you find it Do you Do you really enjoy living a life that's so hateful? 'Cause there's a hole where your soul should be You're losing control of it and it's really distasteful Fuck you Fuck you very, very much 'Cause we hate what you do And we hate your whole crew So please don't stay in touch Fuck you Fuck you very, very much 'Cause your words don't translate and it's getting quite late So please don't stay in touch Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, Fuck you You say, you think we need to go to war Well you're already in one, 'Cause its people like you That need to get slew No one wants your opinion Fuck you Fuck you very, very much 'Cause we hate what you do And we hate your whole crew So please don't stay in touch Fuck you Fuck you very, very much 'Cause your words don't translate and it's getting quite late So please don't stay in touch Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you Matt will take photos tonight and We get a new Dead shirt! It's too late to hate..... So let's take this back.... Enjoy the Cards tribute to the Dead....God do I miss Lou Brock...before your time I know...1968 world series..... This is really how the song goes.... Katie Casey was baseball mad, Had the fever and had it bad. Just to root for the home town crew, Ev'ry soul Katie knew..... On a Saturday her young beau Called to see if she'd like to go To see a show, but Miss Kate said "No, I'll tell you what you can do:" Chorus Take me out to the ball game, Take me out with the crowd; Just buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack, I don't care if I never get back. Let me root, root, root for the home team, If they don't win, it's a shame. For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out, At the old ball game. Katie Casey saw all the games, Knew the players by their first names. Told the umpire he was wrong, All along, Good and strong. When the score was just two to two, Katie Casey knew what to do, Just to cheer up the boys she knew, She made the gang sing this song And fuck your mother in law if you so choose, but life is short and people are complicated...happy Labor Day! Ain't no time to hate...
