Hi All, I've been out of the electronic loop for some time - just moved 1,037 miles and am just now catching my breath. So...are you guys going to try to get tickets to MSG? I'm really not looking forward to the spinning ball again but will do what it takes. Hoping the SD'ers will be reuniting!! Miss you guys, Anita

Tried at 10:01 am est with AmEx presale for a friend, tried for 2 tix, no go, tried for one, no go....If this tour materializes after MSG, there ought to be a way to protect the fans... Stub hub has plenty of good tickets for sale... Good choice to skip MSG.... Ain't no way I'm stayin' home tonight I'll be out until the mornin' light Just hangin' 'round the local parking lot Checkin' out the girls see what they got Yea they love it when me and the boys Start playin' love with them human toys Yea we just wind 'em up and let 'em go, oh yea Summer nights and my radio That's all we need baby don't cha know We celebrate when the the gang's all here Hot summer nights that's my time of the year We made it through the cold This freezin' snow is gettin' really old Next year I'll head out for the coast Say boys I think that might just call for a toast, yea I got a line, you got a pole I'll meet you down at the ole fishing hole Yea them girls are biting good tonight Oh yea, uh oh, oh yea

FYI the STL Cards are giving a portion of their Dead tribute night proceeds to the Rex foundation. Glad I decided against the 1st Dead and Co. Couldn't make it if we tried... Nobody on the road Nobody on the beach I feel it in the air The summer's out of reach Empty lake, empty streets The sun goes down alone I'm driving by your house Though I know you're not home But I can see you- Your brown skin shinin' in the sun You got your hair combed back and your sunglasses on, baby And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong After the boys of summer have gone I never will forget those nights I wonder if it was a dream Remember how you made me crazy? Remember how I made you scream Now I don't understand what happened to our love But babe, I'm gonna get you back I'm gonna show you what I'm made of I can see you- Your brown skin shinin' in the sun I see you walking real slow and you're smilin' at everyone I can tell you my love for you will still be strong After the boys of summer have gone Out on the road today, I saw a DEADHEAD sticker on a Cadillac A little voice inside my head said, "Don't look back. You can never look back" I thought I knew what love was What did I know? Those days are gone forever I should just let them go but- I can see you- Your brown skin shinin' in the sun You got that top pulled down and that radio on, baby And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong After the boys of summer have gone I can see you- Your brown skin shinin' in the sun You got that hair slicked back and those Wayfarers on, baby I can tell you my love for you will still be strong After the boys of summer have gone

One soft infested summer Me and Terry became friends Trying in vain to breathe The fire we born in Catching rides to the outskirts Tying faith between our teeth Sleeping in that old abandoned beach house Getting wasted in the heat And hiding on the backstreets Hiding on the backstreets With a love so hard and filled with defeat Running for our lives at night on them backstreets Slow dancing in the dark On the beach at Stockton's Wing Where desperate lovers park We sat with the last of the Duke Street Kings Huddled in our cars Waiting for the bells that ring In the deep heart of the night We let loose of everything To go running on the backstreets Running on the backstreets Terry you swore we'd live forever Taking it on them backstreets together Endless juke joints and Valentino drag Where famous dancers scraped the tears Up off the street dressed down in rags Running into the darkness Some hurt bad some really dying At night sometimes it seemed You could hear the whole damn city crying Blame it on the lies that killed us Blame it on the truth that ran us down You can blame it all on me Terry It don't matter to me now When the breakdown hit at midnight There was nothing left to say But I hated him And I hated you when you went away Laying here in the dark You're like an angel on my chest Just another tramp of hearts Crying tears of faithlessness Remember all the movies, Terry We'd go see Trying to learn to walk like the heroes We thought we had to be Well after all this time To find we're just like all the rest Stranded in the park And forced to confess To hiding on the backstreets Hiding on the backstreets Where we swore forever friends On the backstreets until the end Hiding on the backstreets Hiding on the backstreets...

hahahaha, one shot, two shot, coppertone red... Arabella's got some interstellagator skin boots And a helter skelter around her little finger and I ride it endlessly She's got a Barbarella silver swimsuit And when she needs a shelter from reality she takes a dip in my daydreams My days end best when this sunset gets itself Behind that little lady sitting on the passenger side It's much less picturesque without her catching the light The horizon tries but it's just not as kind on the eyes As Arabella, oh As Arabella Just might have tapped into your mind and soul You can't be sure Arabella's got a 70s head But she's a modern lover It's an exploration, she's made of outer space And her lips are like the galaxy's edge And a kiss the colour of a constellation falling into place My days end best when this sunset gets itself Behind that little lady sitting on the passenger side It's much less picturesque without her catching the light The horizon tries but it's just not as kind on the eyes As Arabella, oh As Arabella Just might have tapped into your mind and soul You can't be sure That's magic in a cheetah print coat Just a slip underneath it I hope Asking if I can have one of those Organic cigarettes that she smokes Wraps her lips round the Mexican coke Makes you wish that you were the bottle Takes a sip of your soul and it sounds like... Not a care in the world, just trying to beat the heat.Body like an hourglass, sand on her feet. Can't help but stare cause I got the best seat. Just when I thought it couldn't get any hotter you slid on in, Said, "I'm a little hot and bothered, if you know what I mean. Let's crank it up to a hundred degrees." Alright You hit me like fire, shot me like a bullet. Burned me up and down, no way to cool it. Every time you kiss me it's like sunshine and whiskey. Like a bottle of Jack straight to the head. One shot, two shot, copper tone red. Every time you kiss me it's like sunshine and whiskey. Slow driving south with the drop top down, Hair in the wind, Tom Petty up loud. You gave me that look, you licked them lips. I said, "Hang on baby, better pull over for this." I don't wanna get DWK, driving while kissing they'll put you away. You hit me like fire, shot me like a bullet. Burned me up and down, no way to cool it. Every time you kiss me it's like sunshine and whiskey. Like a bottle of Jack straight to the head. One shot, two shot, copper tone red. Every time you kiss me it's like sunshine and whiskey. Every time you kiss me it's like sunshine and whiskey. Well, you hit me like fire, shot me like a bullet Burn me up and down, no where to cool it Every time you kiss me it's like sunshine and whiskey. You hit me like fire, shot me like a bullet. Burned me up and down, no way to cool it. But every time you kiss me it's like sunshine and whiskey. It's like a bottle of Jack straight to the head. One shot, two shot, copper tone red. Greetings to all this first weekend of fall; Do a merry dance: a waltz or a jig, join in, make it up, think big; Sing loud, be happy and free, for you'll see that is the key; Doesn't matter about the song, or whether it's short, medium or long; That which is in our spirit and heart, is what sets all of us apart; The dance, the song, the giving, is what keeps us all a living; It's Fall, and the Summer ends, crisp weather is around the bend; Love long, hug strong, be glad, that the Sunshine Daydreamers are rad; So look to the future with glee, share with your friends and see; That in the end we'll find, that Mickey is right, Be Kind; Love to you and you and you, don't worry, be sad or blue; That's the message, meaning and call, in geomeister's poem to ya'll. Blessings and peace... g

Quite the wordsmith.... A crisp clear day....gotta love fall and the changes the season brings..... After seeing the Aspens lend a golden blanket to the Rockies, returning home, we marveled in the beginning of the same transformation in the Northeast. Looking forward to warm cider with cinnamon sticks, Apple crisp and the kids dressed up for Halloween.... Watching the sun rise as I drive to work each day.... Sitting by the fire in the evenings.... Being thankful for each and every day, no matter what they bring.... Coffee is on.... ba dus is idling....

been in DFW for 6+ years now. love this time of year here...perfect weather...but i do miss "real fall" that i enjoyed almost everywhere else i've lived. for a few weeks, at least, i miss northeast Ohio, minnesota and maryland weather. hmmmm...but when I'm golfing in January, not so much! glad to see the bus s till driving. i've been buried at work for a few weeks and feared no one t the wheel anymore.

They go 'round and round, and it was not twenty years ago today, but a mere 90 days ago when we parked the bus right over there in the shadow of Soldier Field and let it tick off the heat from its well worn engine... ...as we exited ba dus and merrily gathered from hither and yon to shake hands and hug family, all seemed perfect in the world....at least in our little corner of it. Daydreamers everywhere were meeting perhaps for the first time sharing smiles and miles traveled, lifting a cold one, singing a song and dancing a jig. Color us all Happy Happy Happy. That was and is the stuff folklore is made of, our special weekend just ninety days ago. Then the music! My oh my, did you enjoy that? A fiftieth anniversary celebration and family reunion. Comes a time when you look back and just smile, smile smile. Yes, that weekend was just that good. So happy Fall, Daydreamers near and far, let that wheel take you on adventures greater than your imagination and dreams, and thank you for making our internet house a home. Bus is idling, ready for another trip...stop by, hop on, set a spell, share a song and tell a tale.

I have 2 Hard Tickets for Seats in the ADA section of the General admission area. This gives you full access to General Admission area with the benefit of a seat. I bought them for myself as I have a back Injury, but like to be close to the action and where the sound is better. Regrettably I can no longer attend the show and have to sell the tickets. Including Shipping ( which would be priority with insurance) The pair would be $345.00. I can show proof of purchase in my name,..Pictures of tickets or whatever else would be desired. Preferred method of payment would be Paypal, I guess.I hope someone can use these. you can text me at (570)335-0626. Thanks for any and all consideration,...Bob

Morning all. The wheels on the bus, well you know how the song goes..... After immersing myself in Mayer and Company for the past 10 days, I must say I am pleasantly surprised. There is a new energy in old Bobby. Chimenti shines as always and Otiel brings a non Phil bottom end to the mix. Drumming is spot on. Plenty of room to shake our bones, as the sardine box of Soldier Field is replaced by smaller crowds in manageable arenas..... Couple of updates, Stella Moon and Cain74 send their regards but seem to be off the bus for now.....for those of us with shows in our future, may they be joyous ones, next stop home in da Buff on 11/11..... May the spirit of Jerry be with us all.... Remember kids.....you can check out any time you like but you can never leave.... Oh yeah....coffee is on.....Philz of course....

Hey now Daydreamers, and good morning to all those still on Ba Dus! I must say, in the words of David Ganz, "That boy can really play guitar!" Was fortunate to listen to the show on Saturday broadcast live on Sirius and it was smokin'. The crew had interviewed the whole band earlier in the day and Mr. Mayer was very articulate and humble about playin in the band... The music NEVER stopped! Had the tunes crankin, dancin' in the livingroom! Let's keep this bus a rockin' and a rollin' down the road

Another season of touring came to a close for me last night as the boys rocked da buff. Solid first set with an Althea just for Geeky, US Blues for the Veterans and an El Paso, just so Bobby could screw up the words, just exactly perfect. What a mess he made of that....in a good way.... The second set took off with a scorching viola Lee blues, courtesy of Mr. Mayer....btw...up close he looks nothing like Klangstone. Lainie Bear got her elusive wang dang doodle then a new speedway into dark star to truckin to dark star.....drums back to dark star a china doll, then our national anthem, sugar mags... Casey jones took us home safely..... One observed OD with paramedic assistance, some lightweight went to ground on the first verse of promised land...waste of a good pit ticket... This Dead and Company tour exceeded all my expectations and the vibe was more early 80s in the arenas than the FTW spectacle....that's a good thing....if you go be ready to have your face melted....
