Yes lets hope the weather holds and we dont have another Woodstock 94' kind of scene... Billy, he's down by the railroad tracks Sittin' low in the back seat of his Cadillac Diamond Jackie, she's so intact She falls so softly beneath him Jackie's heels are stacked, Billy's got cleats on his boots Together they're gonna boogaloo down Broadway and come back home with the loot It's midnight in Manhattan, this is no time to get cute It's a mad dog's promenade So walk tall, or baby, don't walk at all Fish lady, fish lady, fish lady, she baits them tenement walls She won't take corner boys, ain't got no money and they're so easy I said, "Hey baby, won't you take my hand, walk me down Broadway I'm a young man and I talk real loud, yeah baby, walk real proud for you So shake it away, so shake away your street life And hook up to the train Hook up to the night train Hook it up, hook up to the, hook up to the train" But I know that she won't take the train No, she won't take the train No, she won't take the train No, she won't take the train She's afraid them tracks are gonna slow her down And when she turns, this boy'll be gone So long, sometimes you just gotta walk on Hey vibes man, hey jazz man, play me your serenade Any deeper blue and you're playin' in your grave Save your notes, don't spend 'em on the blues boy Save your notes, don't spend 'em on the darlin' yearlin' sharp boy Straight for the church note ringin', vibes man sting a trash can Listen to your junk man Listen to your junk man Listen to your junk man Listen to your junk man He's singin', singin', singin', singin' All dressed up in satin, walkin' past the alley Watch out for your junk man Watch out for your junk man Watch out for your junk man

Fridays are always good especially after a four day work week....Scotty and Ramble made it to Lockn...hoping the weather holds... All aboard.... I hear the train a comin' It's rolling round the bend And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when, I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' on But that train keeps a rollin' on down to San Antone.. When I was just a baby my mama told me. Son, Always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns. But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die When I hear that whistle blowing, I hang my head and cry.. I bet there's rich folks eating in a fancy dining car They're probably drinkin' coffee and smoking big cigars. Well I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free But those people keep a movin' And that's what tortures me... Well if they freed me from this prison, If that railroad train was mine I bet I'd move it on a little farther down the line Far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stay And I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away.....

true on so many levels... Happy Trails! John Brown went off to war to fight on a foreign shore His mama sure was proud of him He stood so straight and tall in his uniform and all His mama's face broke out into a grin "Oh, son, you look so fine, I'm glad you're a son of mine Make me proud to know you own a gun Do what the captain says, lot of medals you will get We'll put them on the wall when you get home" That old train pulled out, John's ma began to shout Tellin' ev'ryone in the neighborhood "That's my son that's about to go, he's a soldier now, you know" She made well sure her neighbors understood She got a letter once in a while, her face broke into a smile She showed them to the people from next door They bragged about her son with his uniform and gun And these things you called a good old fashioned war Then the letters ceased to come, for a long time they did not come Ceased to come for about ten months or more Then when letter finally came saying, "Go down and meet the train Your son is coming back from the war" She smiled and she went right down, she looked up and all around She did not see her soldier son in sight When all the people passed, she saw her son at last When she did she could not believe her eyes Oh, his face was all shot up and his hand were blown away And he wore a metal brace around his waist He whispered kind of slow, in a voice she didn't know And she couldn't even recognize his face "Oh, tell me, my darling son, tell me what they've done How is it that you come to be this way?" He tried his best to talk but his mouth could hardly move And his mother had to turn her face away "Don't you remember, ma, when I went off to war You thought it was the best thing I could do? I was on the battleground, you were home, acting proud You weren't there standing in my shoes And I thought when I was there, Lord, what am I doing here? Tryin' to kill somebody or die tryin' But the thing that scared me most, when my enemy came close I can see that his face looked just like mine" And I couldn't help but think, through the thunder rolling and stink I was just a puppet in a play And through the roar and smoke, this string, it finally broke And a cannon ball blew my eyes away" As he turned away to go, his mother was acting slow Seein' the metal brace that helped him stand But as he turned to leave, he called his mother close And he dropped his medals down into her hand Been watching Ken Burns the Civil War this week... Have a great evening.

Ev'ry mornin' at the mine you could see him arriveHe stood six foot six and weighed two forty five Kinda broad at the shoulder and narrow at the hip And everybody knew ya didn't give no lip to Big John. Big John, Big John, Big Bad John (Big John) Nobody seemed to know where John called home He just drifted into town and stayed all alone He didn't say much, kinda quiet and shy And if you spoke at all, you just said "Hi" to Big John. Somebody said he came from New Orleans Where he got in a fight over a Cajun Queen And a crashin' blow from a huge right hand Sent a Loosiana fellow to the Promised Land, Big John Big John, Big John, Big Bad John (Big John) Then came the day at the bottom of the mine When a timber cracked and men started cryin' Miners were prayin' and hearts beat fast And everybody thought that they'd Breathed their last-'cept John Through the dust and the smoke of this man-made hell Walked a giant of a man that the miners knew well Grabbed a saggin' timber, gave out with a groan And like a giant oak tree he just stood there alone, Big John Big John, Big John, Big Bad John (Big John) And with all of his strength he gave a mighty shove Then a miner yelled out "There's a light up above!" And twenty men scrambled from a would-be grave Now there's only one left down there to save, Big John With jacks and timbers they started back down Then came that rumble way down in the ground And then smoke and gas belched out of that mine Everybody knew it was the end of the line for Big John Big John, Big John, Big Bad John (Big John) Now, they never reopened that worthless pit They just placed a marble stand in front of it These few words are written on that stand "At the bottom of this mine lies one hell of a man, Big John" Big John, Big John, Big Bad John (Big John) and Goodnight Miami....goodnight....

Ok, one more Johnny song... and a Johnny 5 quote: "Hey lazer lips...your momma was a snow blower!" Deep down Louisiana close to New Orleans, Way back up in the woods among the evergreens There stood a log cabin made of earth and wood, Where lived a country boy named of Johnny B. Goode Who never ever learned to read or write so well, But he could play the guitar like ringing a bell. [Chorus:] Go Go Go Johnny Go Go Go Johnny B. Goode He use to carry his guitar in a gunny sack Or sit beneath the trees by the railroad track. Oh, the engineers used to see him sitting in the shade, Strumming with the rhythm that the drivers made. The People passing by, they would stop and say Oh my that little country boy could play [Chorus] His mother told him someday you will be a man, And you would be the leader of a big old band. Many people coming from miles around To hear you play your music when the sun go down Maybe someday your name will be in lights Saying Johnny B. Goode tonight.

True dat....Respectable name just doesn't fit Mr. Mayer, makes him seem even younger than he is..... My favorite Johnny song, though every time I hear it, it rips my heart out..... Well they closed down the auto plant in Mahwah late that month Ralph went out lookin' for a job but he couldn't find none He came home too drunk from mixin' Tanqueray and wine He got a gun shot a night clerk now they call 'm Johnny 99 Down in the part of town where when you hit a red light you don't stop Johnny's wavin' his gun around and threatenin' to blow his top When an off duty cop snuck up on him from behind Out in front of the Club Tip Top they slapped the cuffs on Johnny 99 Well the city supplied a public defender but the judge was Mean John Brown He came into the courtroom and stared poor Johnny down Well the evidence is clear gonna let the sentence son fit the crime Prison for 98 and a year and we'll call it even Johnny 99 A fistfight broke out in the courtroom they had to drag Johnny's girl away His mama stood up and shouted "judge don't take my boy this way" Well son you got a statement you'd like to make Before the bailiff comes to forever take you away Now judge I got debts no honest man could pay The bank was holdin' my mortgage and they was takin' my house away Now I ain't sayin' that makes me an innocent man But it was more 'n all this that put that gun in my hand Well your honor I do believe I'd be better off dead And if you can take a man's life for the thoughts that's in his head Then won't you sit back in that chair and think it over judge one more time And let 'em shave off my hair and put me on that execution line

Someone wants to blow up the planet Johnny wants to find out why Johnny did a show in St. Louis Love came through the sky. Oh yeah, they were camped out, Waiting for the sun to rise Oh yeah, Johnny sang out Love into the sky. Johnny found a place out in Texas Waiting for him to come Made himself a reservation And hope came, in the gun. Oh yeah, he was flying, Waiting for the sun to rise Oh yeah, color by numbers Waiting for the sun to rise. Johnny did some time in the army Johnny did a stint in Vietnam. Now he can't forget it, His mind is confused, slipping from his twisted hand. Oh yeah, he's still back there With one hand on the gun Oh yeah, he's still back there Waiting for the rising sun. Now Johnny likes to go down the highway The wind singing in his ears Right up as most things go whirring by By day everything looks clear. Oh yeah, Johnny ride on Gonna find a special home Oh yeah, down the highway Looking for the rising sun.

Finally had to turn the heat on. 75 during the day 40 at night. Indian summer is hanging on tight. Hopefully Gramps gets to leave the hospital soon. Nights in white satin, Never reaching the end, Letters I've written, Never meaning to send. Beauty I'd always missed With these eyes before, Just what the truth is I can't say anymore. 'Cause I love you, Yes, I love you, Oh, how, I love you. Gazing at people, Some hand in hand, Just what I'm going thru They can understand. Some try to tell me Thoughts they cannot defend, Just what you want to be You will be in the end, And I love you, Yes, I love you, Oh, how, I love you. Oh, how, I love you. Nights in white satin, Never reaching the end, Letters I've written, Never meaning to send. Beauty I'd always missed With these eyes before, Just what the truth is I can't say anymore. ding ding ding. po dunk hospitals dont know how to treat sepsis, go figure. Nothing some hardcore IV antibiotics can't treat. Give me a job, give me security Give me a chance to survive I'm just a poor soul in the unemployment line My God, I'm hardly alive My mother and father, my wife and my friends I see them laugh in my face But I've got the power, and I've got the will I'm not a charity case I'll take those long nights, impossible odds Keeping my eye to the keyhole If it takes all that to be just what I am I'm gonna be a blue collar man Make me an offer that I can't refuse Make me respectable, man This is my last time in the unemployment line So like it or not I'll take those Long nights, impossible odds Keeping my back to the wall If it takes all that to be just what I am I'm gonna be a blue collar man Keeping my mind on a better life When happiness is only a heartbeat away Paradise, can it be all I heard it was I close my eyes and maybe I'm already there

Quentin Tarantino not only can make memorable movies, but the songs he finds for his soundtracks amaze me..... hot air hangs like a dead man from a white oak tree people sitting on porches thinking how things used to be dark night dark night the neighborhood was changing strangers moving in a new boy fell for a local girl when she made eyes at him she was young and pretty no stranger to other men but doors were being locked at night old lines were drawn again [Chorus] I thought things like that didn't matter anymore I thought all the blood had been shed long ago dark night dark night he took her to the outskirts and pledged his love to her they thought it was their secret but someone knew where they were he held her so close he asked about her dreams there was a shot from a passing car and the young girl screamed

....but I won't do that.... What exactly is THAT? Inquiring minds want to know..... Holy Mother of God You've got to go faster than that to get to the top. Dirty old mountain All covered in smoke, she can turn you to stone So you better start doing it right better start doing it right. You're halfway up and you're halfway down And the pack on your back is turning you around. Throw it away, you won't need it up there, and remember You don't look back whatever you do. Better start doing it right. On your left and on your right Crosses are green and crosses are blue Your friends didn't make it through. Out of the night and out of the dark Into the fire and into the fight Well that's the way the heroes go, Ho! Ho! Ho! Through a crack in Mother Earth, Blazing hot, the molten rock Spills out over the land. And the lava's the lover who licks your boots away. Hey! Hey! Hey! If you don't want to boil as well. B-B-Better start the dance D-D-Do you want to dance with me. You better start doing it right. The music's playing, the notes are right Put your left foot first and move into the light. The edge of this hill is the edge of the world And if you're going to cross you better start doing it right better start doing it right. You better start doing it right. Let the dance begin.

my explanation: femal singer: "When you raise me up will you help me down, Will you get me right out of this godforsaken town".... ..."but sooner or later you'll be screwin around"... ML... "No i wont do that", "No, I wont do that." "Can you tell me where my country lies?" said the unifaun to his true love's eyes. "It lies with me!" cried the Queen of Maybe - for her merchandise, he traded in his prize. "Paper late!" cried a voice in the crowd. "Old man dies!" The note he left was signed 'Old Father Thames' - it seems he's drowned; selling england by the pound. Citizens of Hope & Glory, Time goes by - it's "the time of your life". Easy now, sit you down. Chewing through your Wimpey dreams, they eat without a sound; digesting england by the pound. Young man says "you are what you eat" - eat well. Old man says "you are what you wear" - wear well. You know what you are, you don't give a damn; bursting your belt that is your homemade sham. The Captain leads his dance right on through the night - join the dance... Follow on! Till the Grail sun sets in the mould. Follow on! Till the gold is cold. Dancing out with the moonlit knight, Knights of the Green Shield stamp and shout. There's a fat old lady outside the saloon; laying out the credit cards she plays Fortune. The deck is uneven right from the start; and all of their hands are playing apart. The Captain leads his dance right on through the night - join the dance... Follow on! A Round Table-talking down we go. You're the show! Off we go with - You play the hobbyhorse, I'll play the fool. We'll tease the bull ringing round & loud, loud & round. Follow on! With a twist of the world we go. Follow on! Till the gold is cold. Dancing out with the moonlit knight, Knights of the Green Shield stamp and shout.

It's one o'clock and time for lunch,When the sun beats down and I lie on the bench I can always hear them talk. There's always been Ethel: "Jacob, wake up! You've got to tidy your room now." And then Mister Lewis: "Isn't it time that he was out on his own?" Over the garden wall, two little lovebirds - cuckoo to you! Keep them mowing blades sharp... I know what I like, and I like what I know; getting better in your wardrobe, stepping one beyond your show. Sunday night, Mr Farmer called, said: "Listen son, you're wasting your time; there's a future for you in the fire escape trade. Come up to town!" But I remebered a voice from the past; "Gambling only pays when you're winning" - I had to thank old Miss Mort for schooling a failure. Keep them mowing blades sharp... I know what I like, and I like what I know; getting better in your wardrobe, stepping one beyond your show. When the sun beats down and I lie on the bench, I can always hear them talk. Me, I'm just a lawnmower - you can tell me by the way I walk.

Dog is a woman's best friend I said dog, is man's best friend [George Clinton] Extend your hand and I will lick it Toss the stick I'll run and get it Just a bone I'll be forever in your favor Standing dog in the yard, GUARRRD~! [repeat 2X] Oh we keep turnin ya on, keep turnin ya on We, keep turnin ya on Hey hey, OWWWWWWWWWW!

Me and my arrowStraighter than narrow Wherever we go, every one knows It's me and my arrow Me and my arrow Taking the high road Wherever we go, everyone knows It's me and my arrow And in the morning when I wake up She may be gone, I don't know And we make up just to break up I'll carry on, oh yes I will Me and my arrow (do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do) Straighter than narrow Wherever we go, every one knows It's me and my arrow Me and my arrow

By the shore's of old Lake MichiganWhere the "hawk wind" blows so cold An old Cub fan lay dying In his midnight hour that tolled Round his bed, his friends all gathered They knew his time was short And on his head they put this bright blue cap From his all-time favorite sport He told them, "Its late and its getting dark in here" And I know its time to go But before I leave the line-up Boys, there's just one thing I'd like to know Do they still play the blues in Chicago When baseball season rolls around When the snow melts away, Do the Cubbies still play In their ivy-covered burial ground When I was a boy they were my pride and joy But now they only bring fatigue To the home of the brave The land of the free And the doormat of the National League Told his friends "You know the law of averages says: Anything will happen that can" That's what it says "But the last time the Cubs won a National League pennant Was the year we dropped the bomb on Japan" The Cubs made me a criminal Sent me down a wayward path They stole my youth from me (that's the truth) I'd forsake my teachers To go sit in the bleachers In flagrant truancy and then one thing led to another and soon I'd discovered alcohol, gambling, dope football, hockey, lacrosse, tennis But what do you expect, When you raise up a young boy's hopes And then just crush 'em like so many paper beer cups. Year after year after year after year, after year, after year, after year, after year 'Til those hopes are just so much popcorn for the pigeons beneath the 'L' tracks to eat He said, "You know I'll never see Wrigley Field, anymore before my eternal rest So if you have your pencils and your score cards ready, and I'll read you my last request He said, "Give me a double header funeral in Wrigley Field On some sunny weekend day (no lights) Have the organ play the "National Anthem" and then a little 'na, na, na, na, hey hey, hey, Goodbye' Make six bullpen pitchers, carry my coffin and six ground keepers clear my path Have the umpires bark me out at every base In all their holy wrath Its a beautiful day for a funeral, Hey Ernie lets play two! Somebody go get Jack Brickhouse to come back, and conduct just one more interview Have the Cubbies run right out into the middle of the field, Have Keith Moreland drop a routine fly Give everybody two bags of peanuts and a frosty malt And I'll be ready to die Build a big fire on home plate out of your Louisville Sluggers baseball bats, And toss my coffin in Let my ashes blow in a beautiful snow From the prevailing 30 mile an hour southwest wind When my last remains go flying over the left-field wall Will bid the bleacher bums ad?eu And I will come to my final resting place, out on Waveland Avenue The dying man's friends told him to cut it out They said stop it that's an awful shame He whispered, "Don't Cry, we'll meet by and by near the Heavenly Hall of Fame He said, "I've got season's tickets to watch the Angels now, So its just what I'm going to do He said, "but you the living, you're stuck here with the Cubs, So its me that feels sorry for you!" And he said, "Ahh Play, play that lonesome losers tune, That's the one I like the best" And he closed his eyes, and slipped away What we got is the Dying Cub Fan's Last Request And here it is Do they still play the blues in Chicago When baseball season rolls around When the snow melts away, Do the Cubbies still play In their ivy-covered burial ground When I was a boy they were my pride and joy But now they only bring fatigue To the home of the brave The land of the free And the doormat of the National League

Heard it for the first time during last nights playoff game, thought it was superstitious bunk.....it's not....felt so bad for the Cubs, not that I was rooting for them, being a New Yorker and having grown up with the Mets in my backyard. The way they lost, the errors and the bad luck.....really wish the series would have gone 7. Oh well.....condolences to those diehards.....it was uncomfortable watching last nights game.... on a lighter note.....just heard the Ramones on the radio.....their entire studio discography, 14 albums can be played sequentially in under 8 hours..... 1 2 3 4 Do you wanna dance and hold my hand? Tell me baby I'm your lover man Oh baby, do you wanna dance? Do you do you do you do you wanna dance Do you do you do you do you wanna dance Do you do you do you do you wanna dance Well do you wanna dance under the moonlight? Squeeze me baby all through the night Oh baby, do you wanna dance? Well do you wanna dance under the moonlight? Squeeze me baby all through the night Oh baby, do you wanna dance

But how strange that it was the same matchup and same day... How 'bout a little bit, a little bit of moonlight dancin' Underneath the starry sky? How 'bout a little bit, a little bit of moonlight dancin'? Just the moon and you and I, just the moon and you and I Moonlight dancin', moonlight dancin' How 'bout a little bit, a little bit of late night romance Underneath the starry sky? How 'bout a little bit, a little bit of late night romance? Just the moon and you and I, just the moon and you and I Moonlight dancin', moonlight dancin' Oh, nobody's gonna be there oh, so don't you wanna go where We could dance across the sky leave the world behind us? Nothin' that we couldn't do yeah, we could dance across the sky Leave the world behind us just the moon and me and you Just the moon and me and you We could hide inside the rhythm 'til the morning finds us Share a little ecstasy yeah, we could hide inside the rhythm 'Til the morning finds us if you come away with me I'll show you how it feels to be moonlight dancin', moonlight dancin' Oh, you gonna sail the wind Oh, so don't you wanna begin? Moonlight dancing, moonlight dancing How 'bout a little bit, a little bit? How 'bout a little bit, a little bit of moonlight dancin'? Just the moon and you and I Moonlight dancin, moonlight dancing Moonlight, moonlight, moonlight

never trusted the guy........ also learned to never bet on the Cubs....they are the Buffalo Bills of baseball....said disgustedly, being a Bills fan...... Crazy Janey and her mission man Were back in the alley tradin' hands 'Long came Wild Billy with his friend G-Man All duded up for Saturday night Well, Billy slammed on his coaster brakes And said, "Anybody wanna go on up to Greasy Lake? It's about a mile down on the dark side of Route 88 I got a bottle of rosé so let's try it We'll pick up Hazy Davy and Killer Joe And I'll take you all out to where the gypsy angels go They're build like light And they dance like spirits in the night (all night), in the night (all night) Oh, you don't know what they can do to you Spirits in the night (all night), in the night (all night) Stand up right now and let them shoot through you" Well now, Wild Billy was a crazy cat And he shook some dust out of his coonskin cap He said, "Trust some of this, it'll show you where you're at Or at least it'll help you really feel it" By the time we made it up to Greasy Lake I had my head out the window and Janey's fingers were in the cake I think I really dug her 'cause I was too loose to fake I said, "I'm hurt." She said, "Honey, let me heal it" And we danced all night to a soul fairy band And she kissed me just right, like only a lonely angel can She felt so nice Just as soft as a spirit in the night (all night), in the night (all night) Janey don't know what she do to you Spirit in the night (all night), in the night (all night) Stand right up and let her shoot through me Now, the night was bright and the stars threw light On Billy and Davy dancin' in the moonlight They were down near the water in a stone mud fight Killer Joe gone passed out on the lawn Well now, Hazy Davy got really hurt He ran into the lake in just his socks and his shirt Me and Crazy Janey was makin' love in the dirt Singin' our birthday songs Janey said it was time to go So we closed our eyes and said goodbye to Gypsy Angel Row Felt so right Together we moved like spirits in the night (all night), in the night (all night)...

In the night, in the darknessLove can grow or love will die Such a strange situation Thought I heard somebody cry I found love, inspiration We had time so much to share Came the night, came the darkness I reached out and she wasn't there There's a voice in the night Cryin' in the night Can't you hear it? Can't you hear it? There's a voice in the night Cryin' in the night Can't you hear it? Can't you hear it? Can't you hear? So much pain, persecution Disillusion and despair I think I need some consolation I think I need, think I need someone to care All my dreams are gone forever I feel them fade and drift away Now I cry, cry, cry in the darkness Can't you hear what I'm tryin' to say? There's a voice in the night Cryin' in the night Can't you hear it? Can't you hear it? There's a voice in the night Cryin' in the night Can't you hear it? Can't you hear it? Can't you hear? You tell yourself, don't be lonely, don't be scared And everything will be alright But the darkness comes and then you hear All those voices in the night, in the night A time will come when you are lonely When you get scared and too weak to fight Then you will cry, cry, cry in the darkness And you'll be just another voice out in the night There's a voice in the night Cryin' in the night Can't you hear it? Can't you hear it? There's a voice in the night Cryin' in the night Can't you hear it? Can't you hear it? There's a voice cryin' in the night There's a voice cryin' in the night In the night, in the night

[On the CB.]Breaker, one-nine, this here's the Duck again. You got a copy on me Pig Pen, c'mon? Ah, negatory, Pig Pen, there ain't no way out 'cept for that one Atlantic Ocean. Now listen, drop them hogs off in Omaha and get over here in a short, 'cause it definitely looks like we got us a problem. Bears to the left; bears to the right We didn't have no place to go. They had us backed up clean to the shore, And them cab-over Petes don't float. I says, "Pig Pen, I got me a good idea. Them Friends a' Jesus gonna save us! "So praise the Lord and Mister Ford, And follow that micra-bus, ten-four. [Now, imagine a bunch of rowdy pirates -- the buccaneer type, not software -- chanting the Chorus.] [Chorus] Yo ho ho, and a thousand trucks Gonna take a bath with a Rubber Duck Yo ho ho, and a lots a' luck 'Round the world with the Rubber Ducky! Yeah, we drove on the water like diesel whales Sank about a hunnert-and-ten of 'em I says, "Pig Pen, they just didn't have no faith "They definitely gone ten-seven." By the time we got into that Piccadilly Town, 'Bout half of 'em was lost at sea I says, "Break one-nine for a ten-thirty-three" What we got was the cotton-pickin' BBC [Spoken, in a sorta British accent] I say, Fabersham. Looks likes the Americans have got themselves another bloody Convoy. [Chorus] Yo ho ho, and a thousand trucks Gonna take a bath with a Rubber Duck Yo ho ho, and a lots a' luck 'Round the world with the Rubber Ducky! [Spoken, in the same sorta British accent] Good heavens! Look at them all! Half of them are sinking in the Thames! Hello! Some of our truck chaps are assisting them. Good show, actually. Oh, well, ten-four and all that rubbish. Well, we crossed that Channel like snakes on glass And stormed the beach about dawn I says, "Grab your shifters and punch 13 "We all goin' truckin' on the Autobahn. "Now, Pig Pen, this here's the ultimate slab "'Cause there goes a Mercedes truck." He says, "Break one-three for the Strudel Machine "Ya just blew the doors off'n the Duck. How 'bout it?" [Spoken, in a sorta German accent. A really bad German accent.] Oh, zehn-vier, Rubber Duck. Ve are receiving you vall-to-vall, but the schpeed limit on za Autobahn is triple-nickels. You travel too schlow, Rubber Duck. We gonna see you around. We gone. Wiedersehen. [If you know the song, then you can skip this note. If you don't, then a bit of explanation is necessary. During the next verse, the chorus (the singers, not the words) is heard in the background. What they're singing is what's printed in the tiny little letters. No, I am not making this up. That's what they're singing.] Well, we stopped for a coffee in West Berlin Dumb, dumb, dumb. This is The British had hundred-mile tea dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb. I says, "Pig Pen, from here on it's wall-to-wall bears." Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, Says, "Bash the Wall; we gonna see." Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb. Well, them big red bears must'a been in the bush Dumb, dumb, dumb. This is 'Cause we didn't see a one all day Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, So we raked up the leaves and we shook out the tree Dumb, dumb, dumb. This is 'Til they finally had something to say Dumb, dumb, dumb. You got it.. [Spoken in a bad Russian accent. A really bad... you know the rest.] Comrade Duck: you have been given until daybreak in Murmansk to get your cotton-pickin' trucks out of the U. S. S. of R. You will copy! [That 'dumb' chorus continues.] Well, we shot them rigs through salt-mine city Dumb, dumb With a hammer and a sickle on down Dumb, dumb Then we hit the fan through the Sea of Japan Dumb, dumb Tooled into Transistor Town Dumb, dumb I says, "Pig Pen, this here must be the place, Dumb, dumb "'Cause everybody's eatin' with sticks." Dumb, dumb He says, "Ten-Four, this here is CB land Dumb, dumb "'Cause my channel knob just went crick." Dumb, dumb [Spoken in a really bad Japanese (fill in the blank)] Ah so, Lubba Duck. You have a nice day today, betta day tomollow. We catch you on frip-frop. This one Kamikaze Ozzie; we gone. Sayonara. [Chorus] Yo ho ho, and a thousand trucks Gonna take a bath with a Lubba Duck Yo ho ho, and a rots a' ruck 'Round the world with a Lubba Ducky! [Obviously, poritical collectness hadn't yet permeated the U. S. of A. :)] [On the CB.] Ah, ten-four, Pig Pen, what's your twenty? Australia? Mercy sakes, ain't nothin' down there but Tasmanian devils and them Q-alla bears. What's that? No double-nickel limit? We gonna be there in a short, Pig Pen. This here's the Rubber Duck, ten-ten and doin' it to it like Pruitt used'ta do it to it. We gone. 'Bye-'bye.

Alabama, Arkansas, I do love my Ma and Pa Not the way that I do love you Well, holy moly me oh my You’re the apple of my eye Girl, I've never loved one like you Man, oh, man, you're my best friend I scream it to the nothingness There ain't nothing that I need Well, hot and heavy pumpkin pie Chocolate candy, Jesus Christ Ain't nothing please me more than you [Chorus:] Home, let me come home Home is wherever I'm with you Home, let me come home Home is wherever I'm with you La la la la Take me home Mama, I'm coming home I'll follow you into the park, Through the jungle, through the dark Girl, I've never loved one like you Moats and boats, and waterfalls, Alleyways, and payphone calls I been everywhere with you (that's true) Laugh until we think we'll die, Barefoot on a summer night Never could be sweeter than with you And in the streets you run afree, Like it's only you and me, Geez, you're something to see. [Chorus] La la la la Take me home Mama, I'm coming home ‒ Jade? ‒ Alexander? ‒ Do you remember that day you fell outta my window? ‒ I sure do‒you came jumping out after me. ‒ Well, you fell on the concrete, nearly broke your ass, and you were bleeding all over the place, and I rushed you out to the hospital, you remember that? ‒ Yes, I do. ‒ Well, there's something I never told you about that night. ‒ What didn't you tell me? ‒ Well, while you were sitting in the back seat smoking a cigarette you thought was gonna be your last, I was falling deep, deeply in love with you, and I never told you 'til just now! [Chorus] Home, let me come home, Home is wherever I'm with you Our home, yes, I am home, Home is when I’m alone with you Alabama, Arkansas, I do love my Ma and Pa Moats and boats, and waterfalls, Alleyways, and payphone calls Home is when I'm alone with you! Home is when I’m alone with you

The most sampled and quoted song by our motley crue......but it fits here...btw Edward Sharpe is not too shabby.... Home is where I want to be Pick me up and turn me round I feel numb - born with a weak heart I guess I must be having fun The less we say about it the better Make it up as we go along Feet on the ground Head in the sky It's ok I know nothing's wrong... nothing Hi yo I got plenty of time Hi yo you got light in your eyes And you're standing here beside me I love the passing of time Never for money Always for love Cover up and say goodnight... say good night Home - is where I want to be But I guess I'm already there I come home - she lifted up her wings I guess that this must be the place I can't tell one from another Did I find you, or you find me? There was a time Before we were born If someone asks, this where I'll be... where I'll be Hi yo We drift in and out Hi yo Sing into my mouth Out of all those kinds of people You got a face with a view I'm just an animal looking for a home and, Share the same space for a minute or two And you love me till my heart stops Love me till I'm dead Eyes that light up, eyes look through you Cover up the blank spots Hit me on the head Ah ooh

Naive Melody- musical perfection, what else can be said? This next song, I wish I could've remembered the other day for songs regarding not remembering. Take that look of worry I'm an ordinary man They don't tell me nothing So I find out what I can There's a fire that's been burning Right outside my door I can't see but I feel it And it helps to keep me warm So I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind Seems so long I've been waiting Still don't know what for There's no point escaping I don't worry anymore I can't come out to find you I don't like to go outside They can't turn off my feelings Like they're turning off a light But I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind Oh I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind So take, take me home Cos I don't remember Take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember Take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember Take, take me home, oh lord 'Cause I've been a prisoner all my life And I can say to you Take that look of worry, mine's an ordinary life Working when it's daylight And sleeping when it's night I've got no far horizons I don't wish upon a star They don't think that I listen Oh but I know who they are And I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind Oh I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind So take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember Take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember Take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember Take, take me home, oh lord Well I've been a prisoner all my life And I can say to you But I don't remember Take, take me home. I've had the Edward Sharpe song in my head the past two days! moats and Boats and waterfalls, alleyways and payphone calls

Nowhere to run, baby nowhere to hideI got nowhere to run, baby nowhere to hide It's not love, I'm running from It's the heartaches, I know will come 'Cause I know, you're no good for me But you've become a part of me Everywhere I go, your face I see Every step I take, you take with me, yeah Nowhere to run, baby, nowhere to hide Got nowhere to run, baby nowhere to hide I know you're no good for me, now But free of you I'll never be, no Each night as I sleep into my heart you creep I wake up feeling sorry I met you, hoping soon that I'll forget you When I look in the mirror and comb my hair I see your face just a-smiling there Nowhere to run, baby nowhere to hide Got nowhere to run, baby nowhere to hide I know you're no good for me But free of you, I'll never be How can I fight a lover that's sugar sweet When it's so deep, so deep, deep inside of me My love reaches so high, you can't get over it So wide, you can't get around, no Nowhere to run, baby nowhere to hide Got nowhere to run, baby nowhere to hide I know you're no good for me But free of you I'll never be Nowhere to run to, baby nowhere to hide Got nowhere to run to, baby nowhere to hide Nowhere to run

saw Paul McCartney last night, final night of tour....lived up to the hype....8pm a 30 minute Beatles slide show on big screen, 8:30 pm prompt show started and didn't end til 11:31pm, 43 songs later....if nothing else I got to see a Beatle up close and live. Setlist was diverse with 4 or so new tunes from 2012 album..... 5 man band all who could sing well, supported Sir Pauls upper register deficits, but hell at 73....amazing performance.....standout numbers....Let Me Roll It, Lovely Rita, Benefit of Mr. Kite, Hi Hi Hi and a tear jerking Something played on ukelale tribute to George.....Golden Slumbers medley finished it off....Show was in my all time top 10 live shows.....up there with a couple of Dead shows, Floyds DSOTM, Metheny, Sinatra with the Rat Pack and Rickie Lee Jones.... Better than the Stones and Eagles this year hands down....while It wasn't FTW it was every bit as good to me....could you imagine if the Beatles stayed together just a bit longer and toured Abbey Road? but I digress.... As I walk along, I wonder A-what went wrong with our love A love that was so strong And as I still walk on, I think of The things we've done together While our hearts were young I'm a-walkin' in the rain Tears are fallin' and I feel the pain Wishin' you were here by me To end this misery I wonder I wah-wah-wah-wah-wonder Why Why, why, why, why, why She ran away And I wonder Where she will stay My little runaway A-run, run, run, run, runaway I'm a-walkin' in the rain Tears are fallin' and I feel the pain Wishin' you were here by me To end this misery And I wonder I wah-wah-wah-wah-wonder Why Why, why, why, why, why She ran away And I wonder Where she will stay My little runaway A-run, run, run, run, runaway A-run, run, run, run, runaway A-run, run, run, run, runaway

I'm happy for your show experience. Sounds like an amazing time. Live music can't be beat, especially from an icon like Paul. May he live long and tour much. Looking out at the road rushing under my wheels Looking back at the years gone by like so many summer fields In sixty-five I was seventeen and running up one-o-one I don't know where I'm running now, I'm just running on Running on - running on empty Running on - running blind Running on - running into the sun But I'm running behind Gotta do what you can just to keep your love alive Trying not to confuse it with what you do to survive In sixty-nine I was twenty-one and I called the road my own I don't know when that road turned onto the road I'm on Running on - running on empty Running on - running blind Running on - running into the sun But I'm running behind Everyone I know, everywhere I go People need some reason to believe I don't know about anyone but me If it takes all night, that'll be all right If I can get you to smile before I leave Looking out at the road rushing under my wheels I don't know how to tell you all just how crazy this life feels I look around for the friends that I used to turn to to pull me through Looking into their eyes I see them running too Running on - running on empty Running on - running blind Running on - running into the sun But I'm running behind Honey you really tempt me You know the way you look so kind I'd love to stick around but I'm running behind You know I don't even know what I'm hoping to find Running into the sun but I'm running behind

Oh,Once upon a midnight dreary I woke with something in my head I couldn't escape the memory Of a phone call and of what you said Like a game show contestant with a parting gift I could not believe my eyes When I saw through the voice of a trusted friend Who needs to humor me and tell me lies Yeah, humor me and tell me lies And I'll lie too and say I don't mind And as we seek so shall we find And when you're feeling open I'll still be here But not without a certain degree of fear Of what will be with you and me I still can see things hopefully But you Why you wanna give me a run-around Is it a sure-fire way to speed things up When all it does is slow me down And shake me and my confidence About a great many things But I've been there I can see it cower Like a nervous magician waiting in the wings Of a bad play where the heroes are right And nobody thinks or expects too much And Hollywood's calling for the movie rights Singing hey babe let's keep in touch Hey baby let's keep in touch But I want more than a touch I want you to reach me And show me all the things no one else can see So what you feel becomes mine as well And soon if we're lucky we'd be unable to tell What's yours and mine, the fishing's fine And it doesn't have to rhyme, so don't you feed me a line But you Why you wanna give me a run-around Is it a sure-fire way to speed things up When all it does is slow me down Tra la la la la bombardier this is the pilot speaking And I've got some news for you It seems my ship still stands no matter what you drop And there ain't a whole lot that you can do Oh sure the banner may be torn and the wind's gotten colder Perhaps I've grown a little cynical But I know no matter what the waitress brings I shall drink it and always be full Yeah, I will drink it and always be full Oh I like coffee, and I like tea I'd like to be able to enter a final plea I still got this dream that you just can't shake I love you to the point you can no longer take Well all right okay So be that way, I hope and pray That there's something left to say... For you, now Why you wanna give me a run-around Is it a sure-fire way to speed things up When all it does is slow me down Oh, yeah, now Why you wanna give me a run-around Is it a sure-fire way to speed things up When all it does is slow me down

I took a plane around the world, Trying to loose her memory But every where that I touched down I found it waiting there for me You can't run from love, there's just no place In this world you can hide You can, t run from love, When it's looking for you all you can do is Give up. Sail across the seven sea's Climb apon the mountian high Build a wall around your heart It's going to find you every single time You can travel in a time machine, Disapear without a trace It won't matter where you go It's going to find you any place You can travel in a time machine, Disapear without a trace It won't matter where you go It's going to find you any place. You can't run from love there's just no place In this world you can hide You can't run from love ooooo You can't run from love there's just no place In this world cause I've tried You can't run from love ooooooo You can't run from love (fade out

Did you do it for money? Did you do it for spite? Did you think you had to, honey? Who is gonna make it? We'll find out in the long run (in the long run) I know we can take it if our love is a strong one (is a strong one) Well, we're scared, but we ain't shakin' Kinda bent, but we ain't breakin' in the long run Ooh, I want to tell you, it's a long run in the long run in the long run, [etc.]

Run, run, run, run [repeat line four times] You better make your face up in Your favourite disguise With your button down lips and your Roller blind eyes With your empty smile And your hungry heart Feel the bile rising from your guilty past With your nerves in tatters As the cockleshell shatters And the hammers batter Down your door You better run Run, run, run, run [repeat line four times] You better run all day And run all night And keep your dirty feelings Deep inside. And if your Takin' your girlfriend Out tonight You better park the car Well out of sight 'Cos if they catch you in the back seat Trying to pick her locks They're gonna send you back to mother In a cardboard box You better run

It was a beautiful day, the sun beat downI had the radio on, I was drivin' Trees flew by, me and Del were singin' little Runaway......(foreshadowing earlier) I was flyin' Yeah runnin' down a dream That never would come to me Workin' on a mystery, goin' wherever it leads Runnin' down a dream I felt so good like anything was possible I hit cruise control and rubbed my eyes The last three days the rain was un-stoppable It was always cold, no sunshine I rolled on as the sky grew dark I put the pedal down to make some time There's something good waitin' down this road I'm pickin' up whatever's mine

Worked the bars and sideshows along the twilight zoneOnly a crowd can make you feel so alone And it really hit home Booze and pills and powders, you can choose your medicine Well here's another goodbye to another good friend After all is said and done Gotta move while it's still fun Let me walk before they make me run After all is said and done I gotta move, it's still fun I'm gonna walk before they make me run Watched the taillights fading, there ain't a dry eye in the house They're laughing and singing Started dancing and drinking as I left town Gonna find my way to heaven, `cause I did my time in hell I wasn't looking too good but I was feeling real well After all is said and done I gotta move I had my fun Let us walk before they make me run After all is said and done I did alright, I had my fun I will walk before they make me run

Yes Svengoolie is a staple here...... Stuck inside these four walls Sent inside forever Never seeing no one nice again, Like you, mama You, mama... You... If I ever get out of here Thought of giving it all away To a registered charity. All I need is a pint a day If I ever get out of here (if we ever get out of here) Well, the rain exploded with a mighty crash As we fell into the sun And the first one said to the second one there, "I hope you're having fun." Band on the run, band on the run And the jailer man, And sailor Sam Were searching everyone For the band on the run, band on the run. For the band on the run, band on the run. Well, the undertaker drew a heavy sigh Seeing no one else had come And a bell was ringing in the village square For the rabbits on the run. Band on the run, band on the run And the jailer man, And sailor Sam Were searching everyone For the band on the run, band on the run. Yeah, the band on the run The band on the run Band on the run Band on the run Well, the night was falling As the desert world began to settle down In the town they're searching for us everywhere But we never will be found

Cold late night so long ago When I was not so strong you know A pretty man came to me Never seen eyes so blue I could not run away It seemed we'd seen each other in a dream It seemed like he knew me He looked right through me "Come on home, girl" he said with a smile "You don't have to love me yet Let's get high awhile But try to understand Try to understand Try try try to understand I'm a magic man." Winter nights we sang in tune Played inside the months of moon Never think of never Let this spell last forever Summer over passed to fall Tried to realized it all Mama says she's a worried Growing up in a hurry "Come on home, girl" mama cried on the phone "Too soon to lose my baby yet my girl should be at home!" "But try to understand, try to understand Try try try to understand He's a magic man, mama He's a magic man" "Come on home, girl" he said with a smile "I cast my spell of love on you a woman from a child! But try to understand, try to understand I'm a magic man!"

Do you believe in magic in a young girl's heartHow the music can free her, whenever it starts And it's magic, if the music is groovy It makes you feel happy like an old-time movie I'll tell you about the magic, gonna free her soul It's like trying to tell a stranger 'bout rock and roll If you believe in magic don't bother to choose If it's jug band music or rhythm and blues Just go and listen it all starts with a smile You won't wipe off your face no matter how hard you try Your feet start tapping and you can't seem to find How you got there, it all blows your mind If you believe in magic, come along with me And we'll dance until morning baby just you and me And maybe, if the music is right I'll see you tomorrow, late at night And we'll go dancing, baby, then you'll see How the magic's in the music and the music's in me Yeah, do you believe in magic Believe in the magic of a young girl's soul Believe in the magic of a rock and roll Believe in the magic gonna set you free Aaahhh, yea, heah Do you believe in magic, yeah Do you believe like I I II believe Now do you believe like I believe in magic Do you believe like I believe in magic Do you believe like I believe in magic

I like to dream yes, yes, right between my sound machineOn a cloud of sound I drift in the night Any place it goes is right Goes far, flies near, to the stars away from here Well, you don't know what we can find Why don't you come with me little girl On a magic carpet ride You don't know what we can see Why don't you tell your dreams to me Fantasy will set you free Close your eyes girl Look inside girl Let the sound take you away Last night I held Aladdin's lamp And so I wished that I could stay Before the thing could answer me Well, someone came and took the lamp away I looked around, a lousy candle's all I found Well, you don't know what we can find Why don't you come with me little girl On a magic carpet ride Well, you don't know what we can see Why don't you tell your dreams to me Fantasy will set you free Close your eyes girl Look inside girl Let the sound take you away

had to cut out early yesterday. You've heard the story of Minnie The Moocher She was a red hot hoochie coocher She was the roughest, toughest frail Now Minnie had a heart as big as a whale She messed around with a bloke named smokey She loved him though he was cokey He took her down, down to China Town And he showed her how to kick the gong around He was down in China Town All the cokeys layed around Some were high, some were mighty low There were millions on the floor Knocking at the door And there stood old Smokey Joe He was sweatin', cold and pale He was lookin' for his frail He was broke, and all his jokes ran out Nobody made a sound As he stood and looked around And then you hear old Smokey shout Tell me, where's my Minnie? My poor Minnie Has she been here kickin' the gong around? If you don't know Minnie Oh, she's soft and she's pretty She gets her pleasures kickin' the gong around A hidee hidee hidee hi, a hodi hodi hodi ho You didn't see me climb through that window Nobody saw me come through that door I just walked right through the wall And I want you once [sic] and all To settle back and let me have the floor Now take a look, 'cause I'm not some stranger I'm the face that all you cokeys oughta' know Well, you can tell me I'm not wanted But the joint will still be haunted 'Cause I'm the ghost of Smokey Joe Do you remember when I kicked the bucket In my mansion up on Striver's Row? Well, they carried me off in a zillion dollar coffin Yeah, I'm the ghost of Smokey Joe Tell me, do you remember Minnie? (Yes, we remember Minnie) That frail I never found (You never recognize your Minnie) You mean to say that Minnie Stopped kickin' the gong around? I've got a date on my estate down in Hades Call my chariot so I can go And should the moocher walk in Just tell her you've been talkin' To the ghost of Smokey Joe And should the moocher walk in Just tell her you've been talkin' To the ghost of Smokey Joe And should the moocher walk in Just tell her you've been talkin' Zabadayandawayhow zaoo Smokey Joe

Hi De HoHi De Hi Gonna Get me A piece of the pie Gonna get me Some of that Old Sweet Roll Singin' Hi de hi de hi de hi de Hooooo I've been down so low Bottom looked like up Once I thought that seconds saves Was enough to fill my cup So I proffered all I got But it ain't no way to live Being taken by the ones who got The least amount to give Hi de ho Hi de hi Gonna get me a piece of the sky Gonna get me some of that old sweet roll Singing hi de hi de hi de hi de hooooo. [Instrumental interlude] Once I met the devil He was mighty slick Tempted me with worldly goods Said -you can have your pick- But when he laid that paper on me And he showed me where to sign I said thank you very kindly But I'm in too good-a mood to mind Hi de ho Hi de hi Gonna get me a piece of the sky Gonna get me some of that old sweet roll Singin' hi de hi de hi de hi de hooooo. ...fo sho. No clue how to follow the last track so here we go... Don't look don't look" the shadows breathe Whispering me away from you "Don't wake at night to watch her sleep You know that you will always lose This trembling Adored Tousled bird mad girl..." But every night I burn But every night I call your name Every night I burn Every night I fall again "Oh don't talk of love" the shadows purr Murmuring me away from you "Don't talk of worlds that never were The end is all that's ever true There's nothing you can ever say Nothing you can ever do..." Still every night I burn Every night I scream your name Every night I burn Every night the dream's the same Every night I burn Waiting for my only friend Every night I burn Waiting for the world to end "Just paint your face" the shadows smile Slipping me away from you "Oh it doesn't matter how you hide Find you if we're wanting to So slide back down and close your eyes Sleep a while You must be tired..." But every night I burn Every night I call your name Every night I burn Every night I fall again Every night I burn Scream the animal scream Every night I burn Dream the crow black dream Dream the crow black dream... 400 posts??!!!
