Hi everyone, I saw my first show in San Diego on 11/23/79. Seen about 75 shows total. I saw the 2 Dead shows in Chicago and the experience has left me a bit sad. The shows were pretty good but I realized that I have kind of let my life slip off track. Been so focused on career & family since Jerry died that I realize I've become a uptight old fart. We moved to Tampa from Chicago about 5 years ago and I have no friends down here to see live music with. I still haven't seen Uncle John's Band at Skippers which really bums me out. So I made myself a promise that I would try to make some friends down here that love the GD like I do. I'm a 48 year old guy with wife & kids and really have no idea on how to make friends over the net, but I figured here is a great place to try. Anybody near Tampa who is looking for a buddy to play guitar with or see live music with, shoot me a message! :-)

I drew a poster for the may 1 and 2 Philly shows and I sold out of all 100 for $5 each Im tryn to upload a pic of it but im not very computer savy. Any Philly heads interested hit me up. For me the Farewell Spectrum shows meant alot to me like seriously. The poster says THE DEAD on the top and FAREWELL SPECTRUM on the bottom with the dates and in the middle is a steal your face logo as the pupil of an eye with a compass surrounding it and flames surrounding that. Its awesome! almost everyone that saw it bought it! Hit me up! One Love!

WAS spotted at the ratdog show in glen allen,VA. according to my tipster-(who was unaware that this chick was involved in this crime)..she and an unidentified male--said to be using the nickname 'gumby' (not known if he is suspect in attack-I need to see his photo first) are headed to the allgood festival.--they asked my tipster for a ride, and she turned them down.(again, she was unaware of the fact they are wanted for this crime until this morning) should you have any interaction with either of the above individuals PLEASE try to get photographs of them or learn their real names. as always, the reward applies to any SOLID information that will help resolve this turn of events.--and/or the return of any property. that said, be aware, that these people were apprently inolved in violence at the gorge, as well, so, take that into consideration. thank you Rob 718 Fort Worth Drive #104 Denton,TX 76201-7123 (720) 838-6564

Many of us are missing Dan Meehan, one of the family from the Chicago-land area. We know he was on the road with the Dead, doing some road crew things and some techie things too. We believe his years on the road would have been '76 -'78, but we might be off by a bit., In February of 2007, Dan lost his wife and disappeared not long after. So many people loved him and want to know that he's doing ok. He has a profile on this website that was written not long after his wife's passing. Please help us out in any way you can if you know or knew Dan, have any memories of him, information about where he might be now. But just reminiscing would be helpful to those who miss him.

Can anyone tell me what show it was I heard recently where they are doing the Other One and then in a jam part the start riffing on Uncle Johns Band? They don't play UJB they just jam out the lyrics basically as a solo. I heard it on Grateful Dead radio but my receiver was not showing the date or place for some reason. Any info would be great as I would love to have this version of Other One.

im looking for PHIL from new hampshire, he used to drive around wearing a grave diggers hat, myself, andy from scotland, took a trip with phil and got attacked by swans whilst playing a 12 string guitar in the back of the canoe with my eyes closed, luckilly neither the swans nor us got harmed but that was a really weird trip.phil attended the shows at the garden later in 88 and from that moment lost contact, a good old friend whom id love to hear from again, if you are out there phil, or anyone who may know him, then make an old head happy... peace

Hey Now Id like to find my old tapper friend. Last seen in the 80s. We use to tape shows in the early 80s. David lived in SF and we where the first to ever record Digital Dead using PCM decoder and a beta deck to store on. I have not seen David in many years and would enjoy finding him. Hey !!! I remember you. You and your friend rode with Rich in the Bus and me and my girl Renee traveled with Darryl in some huge boat of a car ???. I have a few pictures of you and Rich at the bus ( New Mexico flag flying high ). I will scan them for ya if you want. I remember having a some liquid and treating everybody around a campfire while drinking some saki wine. You remember ???. I still go to shows and take my 12 year old daughter along ( we are from Canada if you remember ??) I see Ratdog a few times a year in NY State and caught the Dead in Buffalo this past April.
