I'm not sure which night we went (Sapphire, Nadine & Country Honk) but Sapph always hung with this Airplane person who went to ALL the concerts like she did, & liked to dance too. Jr. Walker was out of sight. Motown cooked right along with rock thru the 60's. Chuck Berry, B.B. & Albert King, so many, played regularly in SF. Jr. Walker was rare, I think. I remember seeing Janis and Paul Kantner from the Airplane hanging to the side of the stage. I went backstage for a bit and besides a lot of the Airplane, I think most of Santana and I think I saw Jimmy Hendrix back there. Is there a set list in this site for these shows? I don't really remember the Dead or what Jr. Walker played, I just remember the horns. Great night.
