I will be attending both these shows on 4-1 and 4-2. I will be coming down from Seattle area (due to work constraints, cannot attend shows in Bellingham or Seattle). Looking for someone to share ride down Friday afternoon, and/or probable return late Sunday afternoon. I'll drive and provide tunes; you provide good company. Also looking for people to meet before shows for dinner, drinks, etc. Contact me here or at tiedyehigh@gmail.com.Thanks, and enjoy the music. "Whatever comes to pass Will just pass right on away"

    Philadelphia Listening Partner/Guide
Hi there - I figure this is probably one of the safest places on the interwebs to post this, so here goes. I live in Philly, am a huge music lover, and I've been slowly getting turned onto the Dead over the last 6 months or so, but I don't really know where to start. For one thing, I'm overwhelmed, to say the least, by the size and scope of their output. As a longtime fan and collector of Phish (is it kosher to admit that here? j/k), I know what it means to be consumed by a band's music, to know their history and the musical tendencies of the band members backwards and forwards… but that makes it all the more frustrating for me, not knowing where to start with the Dead; there's just so much MORE, in every way. For another thing, it's all well and good for me to go to sites like deadlistening.com, or poke around archive.org, and listen to whatever I happen to find, but going it solo just seems so antithetical to the spirit of community that this band has inspired, and continues to inspire. I don't know a soul who is a Dead fan, but I really want this to be something I can share, and not just keep to myself. Simply put, I need help. I can tell that there's a universe of music here, waiting to reveal itself, but I think I need a guide of sorts to get me started. So if you're a Deadhead living in the Philadelphia area; if you're the sort of person who hears an amazing jam and wants to share it with everyone you know; if you're willing to help a new seeker make some sense of the Dead - find an entry point, so to speak - I'd love to hear from you. You can PM me here on dead.net. Thanks! -- Jon

Hey Dizzy, Darryl, Katman, Woz, Jon, Cue, Carl, Bob and the rest of the guys from Fall 1973 at Geary Hall Penn State University Park, are you out there? Europe '72 was playing all the time and the air was filled with sweet smoke. You also lived in the Mars Hotel on College Ave in Sun's Slums after moving out of the dorms. I'd love to hear from you,-Gary

Looking for Dave... the "Feisty" one! All I can do is remind you of good times... The Dead show at Memorial Stadium Seattle... just before Jerry died. The rooftop of the parking garage... the Husky game... Green Lake... Best of all: lunch in South Park when the cops "caught" us. (Well it's hard to call that the "best". Every time I saw you it was the "best time".) We still have a connection all these years later! I can feel it. Please contact me!! DAMMIT!!!

Have regard for your covenant, because haunts of violence fill the dark places of the land. Do not let the oppressed retreat in disgrace; may the poor and needy praise your name. Psalm 74 Looking for all Dead Heads in Darrow or Compton at BGSU! Radio DJ, Pool Man, Cliff, and any others, very bad with names, my only dead album back then was Workingman's Dead but there were some others that had every album at BGSU

I was the guy in the floor level crip section in a purple wheelchair. Names I remember: Wayne and Judy. Wayne saw his first show in '68, Judy around '90 like me. Then there was the bald dude with the iPhone I talked to of and on through most of the show, and then there was the usher who volunteered for the shows who I had a really nice chat with and who basically danced the night away as far as I could tell - and did her "job" at the same time. Neat! Oh, and the guy in the white shirt I chatted with on BART on the way to the show. Anyway, I had a great time and you all were beautiful. :) Please contact me if you are comfortable doing so, even if I didn't mention you.

Hey folks,I'm a british deadhead who recently got married and moved back to the states after 20 years(now living in Tennessee). Between 1989 and 1991 I was on and off tour and attended around 75 shows in total. I had some good friends back then and I'm wondering if any of them are still deadheads or linked up to the scene in some way? Its been ages but if anyone knows these folks please let them know I'm on this forum and ask them to get in touch. 'Greg' lived in Washington state and drove a black chevy van to every show in 1991. He had long black hair and beard. He said the Deadheads was his only family because sadly he'd lost his real family in a car crash. We toured together in the Fall tour 1991 and drove from the West coast to 3 shows in Ohio, and then the 9 night run at MSG in NYC. Those were my last shows and I flew back to England after that. In Spring tour 1989 I knew this cool couple Greg and Christine; we toured the last half of Spring tour 1989 starting in Cleveland, and going to Milwaukee, Chicago, Minnesota Stpaul. We then travelled back to the West coast, spending a week at Cougar Hot springs on route, and finally ending up in Santa Cruz, where we lived all summer. Actually theres a whole bunch of folks I knew back from tour in 1989, some of which I'm still in touch with, but mostly lost contact with: Chris and TJ (the hitchhikers to Atlanta), Chris and Amy, Chet, Jim (who drove us all the way in his van)? Anybody still in touch with these folk from '89? Suuch a long shot, but hey, just though it would be interesting to post... Lookin' forward to some 2010 shows... Jules the astrologer

For those of you who've been following this forum and wondering if anyone ever hooks up with old friends, well, yes, they do! Yesterday I saw the message that Brent's sister left and I called her. She wasn't home, but I had a nice chat with her husband and look forward to talking to Chrissy soon. I also heard from someone I'd never met who knew Brent. So if you're looking for some long lost friend, don't give up hope. They're out there somewhere! BTW I'd still love to hear from Chris Currado or anyone else who knew Brent. marj_mcc@yahoo.com

Looking for my old friend, Jeff. We lived on the same block in Newport News, VA from 1986-1988? You and Scott, who also lived on same block, introduced me to the the music and you guys took me and my son Paul to our first Dead shows at Hampton Coliseum in 1987. I also took you to my family Thanksgiving gathering one year. You were originally from CA (the Bay area I believe) and I think you moved back there. If you see this please send me a private message or a post here. Would love to hear from you! Preston

Looking for Phil Wilson - not, not the trombone-blowing Brit jazzer. This Phil Wilson ... Born/raised in Newcastle, Australia. Lived NZ (Dunedin/Careys Bay) early to mid-'70s. Lived London (Swiss Cottage/Honest Jon's Records) late '70s. Since then? I'd love to know. His then partner's name was Ali, and I'd love to catch up with either/both of 'em Kenny

I'v been looking for my dog since september. Her name is RainyDay. She is a brendle boxer and around 2yrs old. I took ownership of her last year . Just to finde out that the guy I got her from stole her from lot as a puppy.I thought that it was cool that she made it back. She is loved by my children and myself . When I got her she definatly needed some love and care. She became one of my children very quick. Her head was to count in a rowe of children under blankets at night. She got a bed time kiss as well. My husband did a very shady thing. He asked if he could keep her with him while I took a run to oregon with my children to pick up my oldest boy. He said he just wanted to have some one to sleep next to while I was gone. Just houres after I left he passed her off to some traviler some where between sonoma and mendo county and then he him self left and I havn't seen ethore since. A friend said they had seen RainyDay with some kid outside of Willits CA in september and they where heading south. We are still looking for her and lover her very much.If you have heard of her or have seen her since september please let me know. I'm afrade she's being handed off and not loved and taken care of properly. We've lost everything inclouding daddy. So we just want are dog back!Lovin you all
