I played this one yesterday. A Rocket to the Moon. I always miss off Hey Jude at the end, though. Maybe I should give it another go - I might be pleasantly surprised. Although it's not a song I like, generally. Apart from the Wilson Pickett version with that blistering solo by Duane Allman.

Lucky to own the Fillmore box so i've managed to spin both 2/27 & 2/28 today, as I have the house to myself. This box is pure magic!!

    Hopefully 3/1/69 and 3/2/69 tomorrow

    Rock on, gang

Interestingly the acoustic set (which is super sweet!) was the second offering from this week's Tapers Section. Coinkydink??

to the capitol theater in passaic NJ
    for some FUN
    @ the trips festival
with ZERO & SOUNDS of SAN FRANCISCO
    and KINGFISH with BOBBY

I remember we got a very memorable early version of
"victim or the crime" acoustic solo by Bob
and a very cool "easy to slip"
this was the only time I got to watch
    John Cipollina play guitar
and I remember the light show was really cool also

    so without further delay

Sound quality isn’t great but sounds better than the cassette I had years ago.

aka the bonus disc from the New Years Eve 1976 Live at the Cow Palace. At Oro's suggestion sort of. It has two songs off the latest release! The Let it Grow > Might as Well. Likely have not played this CD since I got it BITD I'm guessing. A bounty of treasures on that shelf.
    Cheers
I'm seeing this was a Dave trial balloon or sampler of sorts as all the selections have been released in later incarnations of Road Trips and Dave's Picks. Includes 6-9-76, 10-2-76, and 9-24-76 (this Playin'>Supplication>Playin' is cool!).

Just received my Dave's Picks Vol. 21!What a great show/recording!1973-That was the year of my very first Dead show in Buffalo,New York! For fellow New York State'ers, some may remember that was the year of Governor Nelson Rockefeller's new get tough anti drug laws going into effect...of which "Don't get caught holding the bag!''was the slogan on all the commercials!Anyway,me and a buddy hitchhiked from Niagara Falls to Buffalo's War Memorial Auditorium to see the Dead when, walking through the parking lot we were searched and busted with weed! The cops took our weed and then let us go with a warning-that almost blew the evening for us but fortunately the Dead and the wall of sound made us forget about the cops by the second song!(at least I think it was a wall of sound show-I know I saw it!)It was billed as two two hour sets-which it was probably more!Vol 21 is pretty much the same set list as that October show as I remember it.(without checking).Great memories of a life changing time in my life-I was 16 years old then and I turn 60 in April!I probably have heard some Dead or JGB almost every day since then!
